If you truly mean the Master Location List, You must enter locations there that you use. If you are
talking about the Geolocation list, I don't know. I would suspect that it might be that Fort Knox
is not a location in the sense of a city/town in a county in a state. Fort Knox encompasses 109,000
acres in three Kentucky counties and would probably be more of a property holding of the US
Government rather than an address in and of itself. It can, however, be entered in the Master
Location List.

Re: [LegacyUG] Where is the Gold

2008-04-04 Thread Dawn Crowley
Not all maps choose to include military installations. Google, Yahoo,
and Mapblast omit Fort Ord, CA, for example. However, Mapquest not only
has the base, but a new state park; I don't see info for longitude
lattitude on their website. (BTW, it also found both Ft Ord and Fort
Ord.) If the mapping database excludes a base, then I don't think
Legacy will find the geo info.

Other places like Fort Lewis, WA and Fort Leavenworth, Kansas don't
show up as well. I can get the lat. and Lon. from Google Maps, but was
wondering what the logic was behind not having then listed in the
Master Location List.

Thanks
