I found the following information when looking under options customize fonts Perhaps this will help you. I tried it, but still had the problem you describe when resizing the notes window. A temporary fix is to click on zoom and then adjust the point size to be larger. Mine claimed to be 12, but was more like about 8. After I set it to 18, then put it back to 12, it worked fine until I resized once more. Notes font resizes whether the box that says stretch fonts when resizing box is ticked or unticked. (I dunno why that might be.) Dawn Customize - Fonts You can change the fonts used for screen forms and printed reports. Screen fonts are used on the screen to display labels, data, and notes. Report fonts are used for various sections of a generated report. To select a different font for use on the screen displays or on reports, click the Change button on the appropriate line and then select the new font by highlighting its name and clicking OK. You can also set the minimum and maximum font size to be used on the screen. As you stretch and reduce the size of various windows in Legacy, the font sizes are changed accordingly. If you shrink a window to a small size, the fonts may become unreadable. The minimum font size value stops this from happening. A minimum font size of 7 or 8 is usually a good setting. If you mean general and research notes, you can drag to enlarge the window, which will make the font larger. However, I can not change the font size in the customize window; I can change the font though. Dragging the general notes box does not make my font size get bigger. I have to click on zoom to do that. While leaving it on size 12 font and dragging the box, it gets completely illegibly tiny. If I select an overly large font from the zoom list, then go back to 12, then it appears as 12. This was an existing previously reported problem. I had this problem of tiny fonts in note screens found it is somehow tied to the OptionsCustomizefonts stretch fonts when resizing box. Experiment with un-checking this box, closing the Options screen - then go to any notes screen - click on Zoom choose a nice size. Click Save. Close and then go back and recheck the stretch fonts when resizing box. You might need to close Legacy, then re-open in the above steps. I have also opened Legacy and found all fonts reset to the default fonts for no apparent reason. So far I don't have the foggiest notion of why this happens!! Hi Wayne, This has been noticed before although I'm not sure what the current status of the fix is. It is certainly occurring in the latest build released 12/6. It shouldn't be too much of a problem because when re-opening the notes window the font displays in the correct size. If I copy and drop information into notes, no matter what size, it is the copied as a larger size until I close the note box, then it is quite small. Try this work around: Open notes, expand the notes screen to full size (box at top right of screen), then click save. Open notes again should bring the font to large, on my PC, this fix during the current session of Legacy, I have to repeat the process for each new session. Wayne, Sorry for my previous confusing post. Looking again at what I wrote I should have said to click the Zoom button located on the right-hand side of the Notes window. Is yours set to Auto?? I'll try unstretching the fonts, but even though I mess with the 'minimum font size' setting, it doesn't seem to change. I'll let you know if that helps. Thanks! Jill Legacy will, by default, change the size of your fonts depending on the size of the screen being displayed.To set the fonts use Options Customize Fonts. The top three settings apply to your on-screen fonts. If you remove the check mark beside Stretch fonts when resizing then Legacy should use a fixed font size. use the min font size and max font size to force Legacy to use a larger minimum font or a smaller maximum.
