Re: [LegacyUG] How to show (compactly) descent from medieval ancestors?
Hi Dolly, Export to Legacy file all ancestors of #1. Open that new file and print (or whatever) all descendants of #10177. I think that should work. -- Richard Van Wasshnova http://www.gencircles.com/users/vanwasshnova http://gw.geneanet.org/vanwasshnova On Mon, Jul 19, 2010 at 7:21 PM, Dee Ziegler wrote: > Hello to the group. Re: [LegacyUG] How to show (compactly) descent from medieval ancestors?
My sons are descended from Charlemange through about 80 different paths. I KNOW that this is too complicated to isolate in any kind of chart (for me at least). What you need to do first is Go to: Tools; Relationship Calculator; put yourself and one of the earliest ancestors into it. Then run the tool. This may show you how many paths exist, and help you decide if it is possible to make an 'easy' report. You might need to do some searching to find the earliest person, or accept that the tree actually looks like a Gordian Knot. Good Luck. When I go to the family search thing, get the Vista shield and when I sign on I get the 403 error. I could not find anything on this in the archives. It works when I sign on outside of Legacy. I have signed on to Legacy as administrator, but no matter what I can't get the Legacy family search work. Thanks for any help you can provide . Re: [LegacyUG] Colors changed on update
I've used Legacy since 1997, when v2 was released and have seen this happen only once. I would suggest that when you establish a color scheme that you like, save it by clicking on the Save button in the lower right of the Colors window (just below the tag colors). Then if your colors change again, just click on the Load button to reload your custom color scheme. Yes, it happened to me also. The one I had was not one of the ones I now have, so I am tolerating it until I can restore the one I had or create a new one close to the old one. [LegacyUG] Colors changed on update
Hi everyone I am puzzled as every time I update my legacy now on the latest 7.4 my color scheme changes and defaults to the legacy preferred. I then have to go through and change it all back to my preferred one. It is a hassle and I wonder if anyone else has the same problem Thanks for that Gwen Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergr...@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
