Re: [LegacyUG] Inbuilt Timelines - can they be printed?

2016-11-11 Thread Cathy Pinner

Ian,

You shouldn't have to use code? You could put them into a Table by using
the | character as a separator or search and replace to turn it into
whatever you like.

I take the point about their content.

Ian,

1) they're text files so you can open and print them as you like -
you'll find them in
"...\Documents\Legacy Family Tree\_AppData\Timelines\English\"

2) they've come from a variety of sources so don't regard them as gospel.

3) you can make your own or edit existing ones. See the Help.

4) They're designed to be added to the Chronology View and Chronology
Report and by including a Chronology Report can be added to Family
Group Report and Individual Report.

5) Tags on Timelines - I think you've found a bug - there's no way to
select the tagged group so I'll record that if it isn't already.

Is there a way of printing these (as PDF, for example) so that they
may be used as a general guide when researching? At this point, I do
not want to include these in any (Legacy) “book” or publication.

Some are tagged (checkbox “Tag” has a tick), others not.

City, ,state, country should do it. A blank space keeps it open, names
none, and satisfy program requirements and standards.

They're a method of recording the level of interest you have in that
person and their ancestors and descendants. You can appoint a "score"
of 0, 1, 2 or 3. The fields are searchable, so you can use Find to
search for all individuals in whom you have a strong interest and have
scored a 3, for example.
