Re: [LegacyUG] Divorce Sentence

2016-12-01 Thread Cathy Pinner

Cindy,

Go to your Marriage Event list, highlight the Divorce event and click Edit.
Note how you've entered your data, then click the Edit Event Sentence
Definition and see if you can fix it by altering the way you've entered
the data OR by editing the event.

I think what you've done is use a Description field and added Divorce to
that field. So you have a Divorce event with Divorce repeated in the
Description.

The default definition doesn't have a Description field but if you want
one you'd use it for something other than "Divorce"

Here is an example from the Descendant Book Report.

William married Mary H. Erion, daughter of John Erion and Auguste
Backee, on 15 Dec 1896 in Marshfield, Wood, Wisconsin. The marriage
ended in divorce. Mary was born in Dec 1879 in Wisconsin.

Noted events in their marriage were: •
They were divorced Divorce between 1901 and 1910.

Why does it say divorced Divorce and how do I fix this?

Thanks,
Cindy Gropp Curry

This action is required because of the DMARC Reject/Quarantine Policy
imposed by some email providers. Users who want to send messages
without conversion to attachments should use a different email address
for their subscription.

Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require
this conversion include gmail.com and hotmail.com. Many other email
providers will also work but you will have to give them a try.

Re: [LegacyUG] Legacy 9

2016-12-01 Thread Philip Solida
What must be ke]the in mind is the difference between u]date and upgrade...
u]dates are indeed free, upgrades from 1 version to another do indeed cost.
Too see what, go to the Web page and on the ribbon at bottom of logo on
top, find store and click... then find upgrades on left side... compare to
the upgrade price to find out... knowing that the upgrade will be the
download only version... (install and put in customer#) yes, the black
fri. deal was best by about $4... for the download only version of 8. The
normal price for a upgrade is 19.98 I believe for the download only of
program. So it 14.98 for a new 8 + upgrade... yes. I am uncertain but
normal price for a new licensed deluxe is either 24.98 or 29.98... thus 10
off would be 14.98, same as black friday, or 19.98... but as I said, no
substitute to looking for yourself.

Just go to the Online Store at www.LegacyFamilyTree.com (far right on the
menu bar) and select "Upgrades" to see what the upgrade price is for v8
from any previous Deluxe Edition of Legacy.

Users of Legacy7 or Legacy8 get free updates within those versions. But
there has always been a charge to upgrade from 1 version to the next

My question is what will EXISTING Legacy 7 and 8 users have to pay to get

to purchase Legacy again, if so it could be worth buying Legacy 8 again now
at the reduced price and then getting the free upgrade when Legacy 9 is
released.
