The original message to the list is in the attachment.

This action is required because of the DMARC Reject/Quarantine Policy
imposed by some email providers. Users who want to send messages
without conversion to attachments should use a different email address
for their subscription.

Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require
this conversion include gmail.com and hotmail.com. Many other email

Of course Michelle, if people choose to stay on the LUG list, they really
shouldn’t be complaining that they are getting too many emails.  If they were
really bothered by the number of responses to the original post which was
clearly identified as a poll, they could have very easily created a temporary
rule/filter to send any messages related to AFN directly to their trash folder.
That would have been much easier than wasting time writing complaints to a
mail list which they chose to subscribe to.

Yup - it's broken and there's no way to produce maps. I don't know if
or when the programmers will get it fixed - it's been broken for a
long time now! One of the best features in Legacy too!!! Very
frustrating.

The Legacy Version 9 on my computer works great and I love it. I just
assisted a friend to purchase Version 9 Deluxe and get it all set up.
Unfortunately, the mapping feature, even though it is turned on, does not
work. Geocoding works fine, but not the mapping. I'm open to suggestions
how I can pruduce maps in Legacy.

Thank you for your responses.

I do receive a copy of my messages sent to the UG but it might depend on

I agree.  I do not want to use Facebook for anything,  for many
reasons.  I also think that a survey could have been created to get the
info you need and then a link to that survey could have been sent to the
list.  I love active lists, but  to see s many of these posts
did nothing for my inbox, mood, family history or Legacy discussions.

JoAnn,
The reason I put the poll on the LUG mailing list is that the Lug
mailing list was complaining about being left out of the stuff we are
posting on Facebook. The developers and the staff wanted to see if
anyone was still using the AFN field for actual AFN numbers.  If I had
not considered the people on the LUG mailing list there would have
been complaints that we only care about what the people on the
Facebook LUG have to save about it.

Getting email responses on a poll or a multitude of "me too" responses are
annoying!

Getting *information* and discussion about the subject of the mailing list is
