View - Master Lists - To Do Categories then Options button then Import ...

NOT File - Import.

Re: [LegacyUG] Error with source descr.

2018-09-19 Thread Brian Kelly
I looked in the bug tracking system and could not find any earlier
report of the problem. I did find a report on a similar problem when you
have the FindAGrave field added to the Family View.

I have now entered the problem with the FSID label when used on the
Family view into the bug tracking system.

I noticed, during my testing that the problem is an extra space in front
of the FSID number. Here is an example when I tried the problem in my
file: PS, I have changed the FSID to protect the data in my file.

https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/ K91K-FG6

if you edit the address on the "page not found" error page to remove the
space in front of the FSID number you can redirect the problem page to
the right place.

have the FS ID available to see at a glance, so I chose to have the last
field show the FS ID number. I didn't know until now you could open the
Individual Information box and click on the label for the FS ID as a way
to jump into the person's page in FS FT. Thanks for the tip, but I still
hope they can work it out so that right-clicking on the field name of FS
ID (if customized to be there) on the Husband and Wife boxes of the
Family View will work again to do the same thing. It's a lot quicker and
easier that way.

If the person does not have a FSID entered then clicking the label

Joseph,

This is working but you do not click or right click on the number in the
box. You have to use the label above the box to get to the person's
FamilySearch page.

I tested both a left and right click on the label and both methods took
me right to the person's page in FamilySearch.

If the person does not have a FSID entered then clicking the label will
take you to the FamilySearch records search.
