Thank you , Sherry. I tried that and will keep a watch to see how it does. When you go back into Legacy, the file will be recreated - see if that helps. I have windows 7 and legacy build 8.0.0.473. I have noticed that on the family information screen on the male side only, that the 11 buttons disappear and don't reappear unless I close Legacy down and then reopen the program. My gggrandfather was born in Feb 1814. His supposed father died before Jan 1812. How do I unlink from the father but not the mother? When I try to unlink it will only let me unlink both. Do I do this then link back to the mother, or is there a simpler way? Thank you Wendy and Leon, that did the trick. Jim From: Wendy Howard To: LegacyUserGroup@LegacyUsers.com Sent: Wednesday, January 1, 2014 11:59 PM Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] source color indicator Hi Jim, Try Option > Customise > 9. Colours > 9.2 Other User-Interface Colours > Other Colours tab > Sources. Click on "Text Colour for Labels Showing Attached Sources", click on the colour you want in the chart - it will now show in the upper bar near the bottom of that window. When you're happy with your selection, click on the "Select This Colour" button. Click on the Save button, and Save again - and now the fields that have sources assigned to them should be in that chosen colour. [LegacyUG] source color indicator
I am using Windows XP and L8.0.0.367. When I'm in Individual Information Screen, if I have a source attached to birth, death or place, the color does not change to indicate that a source is attached. I cannot find in the help section what setting I need to go to change the color. I am also somewhat color blind and if it has changed, the color is not enough changed for me to tell. Does anyone know what setting to change to get a different color?
