[LegacyUG] file copying.
Hello All, I have two computers each with their own Legacy Deluxe license. I want to copy the Family file from one to the other. I can send a copy of the Media folder to the destination computer but need to know which of the source files to select of the Family file. I did send a zipped backup file but the selecting of the General link of the destination Legacy shows the Family File Information Customer Number as being that of the Source Legacy. Having bought the destination computer quite a long time after the source one hence the purchase of a separate licence. [LegacyUG] Lost 7000
Hank, 1. Do not carry out and more deletions of anything as the area that stores deletions holds a set amount and it may occur that if your file has been deleted further deletions of any type could overwrite and replace your file. 2. You cannot recover files back onto the drive that is being scanned so you will need to save them onto another drive. Once completed you can then place recovered files onto the drive they came from originally. 3. A deep scan is more thorough and it could take 24 hours or so to do so. Some recovery software will let you select what file types you wish to recover. 4. Always make backups onto a separate medium. In 2016 I had a HDD that had lost its status and although the files were still they they could not be accessed. I purchased EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Pro 10.5 and and it got back the complete issue of files. I think the latest version is now 11.5. Hope you can resolve the problem. -- LegacyUserGroup mailing list LegacyUserGroup@legacyusers.com To manage your subscription and unsubscribe http://legacyusers.com/mailman/listinfo/legacyusergroup_legacyusers.com Archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/
[LegacyUG] that bounced email
The original message to the list is in the attachment. This action is required because of the DMARC Reject/Quarantine Policy imposed by some email providers. Users who want to send messages without conversion to attachments should use a different email address for their subscription. Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require this conversion include gmail.com and hotmail.com. Many other email providers will also work but you will have to give them a try.--- Begin Message --- I use a desktop computer and run a program called Mailbell which acts as an interface to my email client. This enables me to read emails whilst they are still on the server and although they are displayed in text format with some parts in HTML I can blacklist any iffy ones and whitelist others. Regarding the breached email, if the owner is aware of being breached they only need to change the password to stronger one. I have blacklisted the bounced email and each one received is automatically red crossed and a single press deletes the batch. I had 8 yesterday and 5 today. In the old days if I sent an email and for some reason it bounced I would receive an email from the PostMaster indicating it. If that rule still applies why is the sender of the bouncers not aware or is it actually iffy. --- End Message --- -- LegacyUserGroup mailing list LegacyUserGroup@legacyusers.com To manage your subscription and unsubscribe http://legacyusers.com/mailman/listinfo/legacyusergroup_legacyusers.com Archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/

Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require this conversion include gmail.com and hotmail.com. Many other email providers will also work but you will have to give them a try.--- Begin Message --- Hello All, I copied the email address into my browser and here is part of the result: Why did SPF cause my mail to be rejected? What is SPF? SPF is an extension to Internet e-mail. It prevents unauthorized people from forging your e-mail address (see the introduction). But for it to work, your own or your e-mail service provider's setup may need to be adjusted. Otherwise, the system may mistake you for an unauthorized sender. Note that there is no central institution that enforces SPF. If a message of yours gets blocked due to SPF, this is because (1) your domain has declared an SPF policy that forbids you to send through the mail server through which you sent the message, and (2) the recipient's mail server detected this and blocked the message. -- Culver ancestors from Iowa County - Message Boards https://www.ancestry.com/boards/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.../mb.ashx ...
