Re: [LegacyUG] Problem with using Master Location List

2012-03-19 Thread Brian/Support
Microsoft Bing is the mapping application/web site used by Legacy, it is
not a web browser.

Before you complain further, all the internal to Legacy web browsing
such as going to the Bing website in mapping and the links on the Legacy
Home tab use parts of Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) which are
built-in to Windows. If you open a link as a new window from the Legacy
Home tab it will be opened in IE because you are starting from IE on the
Home Tab.

The functions which open a Web Browser outside of Legacy such as
Internet > Search Internet for current person will use your preferred
browser or the browser you specify in the Launch tab of Options > Customize.

I should have added, when you use Legacy help, use the search tab and
search just Bing. You will be taken to the locations that offer Bing.

Re: [LegacyUG] Problem with using Master Location List

2012-03-19 Thread Tim Rosenlof
You have no control over the Legacy use of 'Mapping' or 'Master
Location' using Bing! Legacy controls that. It is hard coded. It is the
service Legacy uses.

The "Launch" tab, in Options, from the help file, Legacy offers
to start your web browser, word processor, or text editor to view web
pages or reports that you have generated. Normally, the default program
for your computer is used. You can override these settings and use a
different program to view the results by filling in one or more of the
program fields.

Refer to the help file
"Map My Places"
"Map My Family"
"Master Location List"

Happy Hunting,
