You can set a To Do List item as either General or linked to a specific
individual. It's your choice.

Hey, all. I'm still relatively new at this, and I'm trying to come up with a
really good checklist system for each person on my tree, so at a glance, I can
tell what major info I have and am lacking. I'm thinking the To Do List might
be the way to do this. Can I come up with standard to do items to populate the
to do list, or do I have to go through each of them separately?

Jenny was kind enough to send me hers and I modified it to suit my needs.
HOWEVER, I would like to one day soon investigate the Research Guidance Tab -
I've heard it will generate appropriate to-do items for an Individual.

I do this by means of a spreadsheet.  I have everyone listed and columns
for Birth, Baptism, Marriages, Death, Burial and Censuses.  I just check
the appropriate boxes as I enter the information.

I have a set of ToDos for census searches including the soon to be available
1940 US. Because my Scandiavians have confirmation class about age 16, I have a
ToDo list for that. Also future British censuses as they open up. Anything that
most everyone gets is a good To Do category. Draft boards and High School Grad
