Re: [LegacyUG] Viewing images

2012-09-19 Thread Brian/Support
Those pictures you attach as files cannot be included in reports is
probably the greatest issue with your method. This is not a problem if
you do not want pictures in your reports but it should be something you
are aware of.

You do say this is for documents so those kinds of pictures may not be
wanted.

I have started using the file icon for images (jpg) for convenience for
documents.
I can then add/edit Legacy while viewing the document with split screen in
separate image software.
It would be nice if one could save jpg files using photo icon and then open
with your choice of software.

Why not just add images using the Picture icon? The File icon is meant to
be for Word documents and pdf documents.

I've just noticed that if you add a jpeg to a source detail via the "file"
option, you don't get the little thumbnail of the image, but it does open
with your default image viewer.

If you add a jpeg through the "Picture" option, you do get the thumbnail,
but it opens via Legacy's internal viewer.

Is there any way to get it to display the thumbnail AND open with your
default viewer?

Thanks

Tony,

If you really mean "jpeg" I suggest that you rename using "jpg". There area
known problems with the four letter extension which do not arise when using the
three letter.
