Re: [LegacyUG] child - Parent linking
First unlink the child from the couple who were married. Right click on his name as a child in family view and select unlink from parents. Now select the child and display him in Family View, he should show no parents. Right click on him and select Add Mother. Select Link to an existing person Select the woman from the name list that will open. Click Select to make her the mother. This will add a marriage to an unknown spouse to her list of spouses. Select this marriage and you can indicate on the marriage information screen that the couple never married. Now the son will not show as a child of the couple's marriage unless you have display of 1/2 kids selected in family view. If you do there will be a 1/2 in front of the child's name. Hi Place the new father in the system and flag as unmarried to the mother, then place the child under them. To hide the new father, flag him as hidden and give him an Unknown name.
