Re: [PATCH] [PUSHED] dead code: remove ScDocument::DeleteNumberFormat
Hi Daniel, many thanks! This was some kind to fast forward ;) Didn't see the rInfoItem.GetNumberFormatter()-DeleteEntry() call. Thanks! Pushed. Thomas On 06/07/2012 06:25 PM, Daniel Bankston wrote: On 06/07/2012 10:34 AM, Thomas Arnhold wrote: Hi, this patch removes some dead code. Please could someone review it, especially the part at sc/source/ui/view/tabvwsha.cxx, to be sure it's save. Thanks! Thomas Hi, Thomas, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will soon reply. However, I think that in ScTabViewShell::UpdateNumberFormatter() only the call to ScDocument::DeleteNumberFormat() should be removed, and the rest should be left alone. Of course this also means that the calls to ScTabViewShell::UpdateNumberFormatter() should not be removed. [PATCH] fdo#35365 default font color for documents
Hi, here's a patch to fix bug fdo#35365. Please also apply the patch in the 3.5 and 3.6 branch. The underlying bug fdo#50861 is only partially fixed by this patch. At least two solutions comes to my mind for a full fix: 1) Store the default colors in the document. 2) Hardcode the default colors. What do you think? What's the right approach to fix fdo#50861? My current and all future contributions to LibreOffice, unless stated otherwise, are licensed under LGPLv3+/MPL until further notice. PS: Thanks to Björn Michaelsen, who helped me to dive into the code on the LinuxTag. -- Benjamin Drung Debian Ubuntu Developer From 456ec746d130d736caa526dfddc8d138fff6c797 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Benjamin Drung bdr...@debian.org Date: Fri, 8 Jun 2012 00:19:25 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] fdo#35365 Set the default font color to black and the document color to white. The font and document color of a Writer document or an Impress presentation should not be derived from a desktop theme. A Writer documents needs to look good on paper. An Impress presentation may have it's own theme. The appearance of a document should not change by changing the desktop theme. With this change a document looks the same on any computer if the user do not change the default colors. Changing Cell Validate Text
Hi All, Before I push this (which I will do tomorrow). I want to get preference opinions if possible. Here is the bug report: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43518 I tend to agree with the complaint (although it's incredibly minor). Technically between should not include the minimum and maximum numbers put in. Since they are (and I think that this is preferred) the text should be changed. I opted for valid range and invalid range. There are other options including: between (inclusive) not between (inclusive) or simply include range exclude range This is really minor but I'm trying to knock off some of these little bugs that just take a small amount of time to fix. If you're opposed to any change in language /or prefer different wording please respond, otherwise I'm pushing my updates as soon as possible. Lastly, on a technical note. What's the easiest way for me to replace all occurrence of a variable with another name. In order to be consistent I'll have to update the variable name along with the actual text name. Thanks all, Joel ___ LibreOffice mailing list LibreOffice@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice
--disable mozilla necessary for Ubuntu
It's been a long time since the default install has worked for me on any Ubuntu or Ubuntu based distro. I always have to add --disable-mozilla in order for autogen to work. Is this problem being looked into? Without mozilla we can't use digital signatures which I think is a huge potential security problem for those of us making macros to share on the template page. ___ LibreOffice mailing list LibreOffice@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice

Currently I do not understand 3.5.99.1 (3.6.0beta1). If that is Mozilla intention I would prefer something like 3.6.0.00x for alphas 3.6.0.0x0 for betas 3.6.0.100 for RC (example) and/or release 3.6.0.200 for RC (example) and/or release Just as an hint. The rationale for that can be found here: http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-controlfields.html#s-f-Version and I find it quite sensible (at least compared to what I saw on other distros). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50815] New: WebDav access broken under Windows
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50815 Bug #: 50815 Summary: WebDav access broken under Windows Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.4 release Platform: x86-64 (AMD64) OS/Version: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Libreoffice AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: fn...@bananahill.net Native WebDav works as expected under Linux (Fedora 17 x64 LibreOffice 3.5.3.2). When a webdav path is entered the username and password is requested. However, under Windows Windows 7 (x64) with LibreOffice 3.5.4.2.) when a WebDAV URL is entered in the File open, File save or in the Tools - Options - LibreOffice - My Documents path a message box pops up with the information: Nonexistent object. Nonexistent file. If a LibreOffice application is opened from the command line with a document stored on a WebDav server it behaves as expected. Based on this the following workaround can be devised: 1) In LibreOffice Writer go to Tools - Options - LibreOffice - General and select Use libreOffice dialogs under Open/Save dialogs 2) Open the LibreOffice personal settings file %APPDATA%\LibreOffice\3\user\registrymodifications.xcu for editing in notepad or another editor. Find the variable prop oor:name=WritePath oor:op=fusevalue$(work)/value and change the $(work) part to the path to your WebDav server. 3) Save an empty document as ODF Text Document Template (.ott) and upload it to the WebDav server. Notice the full path, e.g. https://webdav.bananahill.net/home/webdav.ott; 4) Modify the LibreOffice Writer shortcut to include the full path to the uploaded template document from the previous step. One way to do this in windows 7 is to type LibreOffice Writer in the start menu; right-click on the shortcut and select properties. Add the path of the documentto the end of the Target line so it looks something like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreOffice 3.5\program\swriter.exe https://webdav.bananahill.net/home/webdav.ott; 5) Repeat step 3 and 4 for each LibreOffice program that needs WebDav access. With this setup the Default Dirctory button (the one with the house) in the file save and file open will take you to the WebDav server. To go to a local partition just type the partition letter in the File name box, e.g. C: and press enter. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50817 Bug #: 50817 Summary: Thumbnail overlay to start presentation, disable slide or duplicate it is in wrong position Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Presentation AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: daniel.ma...@umb.no Created attachment 62698 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=62698 Bug in slide thumbnail overlay positioning The slide thumbnail overlay that allows us to start the presentation, disable a slide or duplicate it, is getting in the user's way! This can be seen in the attached file. The overlay gets activated when the mouse cursor is hovering over a thumbnail. The (buggy) position of the overlay seems to depend on the point of entrance onto the thumbnail. Dragging the mouse cursor over a thumbnail from the top makes the overlay appear at its bottom. But the point of entry doesn't say anything about where the user stops moving the mouse! If the mouse cursor enters from top but stops at the bottom, then the overlay will appear under the mouse cursor. If the user then clicks on the thumbnail to activate/edit the slide, he clicks on the overlay instead and performs an action that he didn't intend to perform (like disabling the slide). This is another fine example of an automatism that is supposed to help but instead results in unexpected behaviour. Firstly, the overlay should be optional and the user should be able to disable it! That could be achieved by providing a disable overlay option in a right click context menu for the overlay and an additional entry in the options window. Secondly, the position of the overlay should depend on the position of the mouse cursor! Display of the overlay should be triggered by dragging the mouse cursor over a slide thumbnail, but the position of the overlay should depend on the position of the mouse cursor at the time when the overlay is appearing! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50757 --- Comment #2 from Timon kaktebyaviru...@gmail.com 2012-06-07 05:43:07 PDT --- Problem is slightly different. I downloaded the latest version of LibO 3.5.4 from official website (signed version). After download, installed LibO, tested new features, everything was fine. Copied MSI package to flash drive. Went to another place, copied file to computer and began to install. And instead of a new version of LibO I stayed without office at all. I think that something failed on a flash drive. But MSI package was copied from flash drive to computer without any errors. Installation in a new place started up without any error messages, requested all necessary information about version update, removed old version of LibO, tryed to install new version and only at this moment reported that cab file and some other files are corrupted. After installation fail I checked the integrity of MSI package on a flash drive and computer and saw the errors (package was corrupted). In the first place of install (where the package was downloaded) MSI package is fine and signed. I again rewrote the package on a flash drive and reinstalled in another place. I hope, was understood. Are there any options (command-line / GUI) that we can give in the Libre (Linux/Windows) that could potentially help us with circumventing this issue ? Please let us know on priority. Also is a more stable version of Libre (where these bugs have been fixed) going to be released soon.. if so how soon and when can we download the same? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50575] timestamps as primary column: show empty data / crashes / ...
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50575 --- Comment #2 from Lionel Elie Mamane lio...@mamane.lu 2012-06-07 06:57:47 PDT --- (In reply to comment #1) The wrapper between Base and ODBC has to: - multiply hundredths of a second with 10^7 to be stored in struct tagTIMESTAMP_STRUCT.fraction - divide by 10^7 when reading tagTIMESTAMP_STRUCT.fraction to receive hundredths of seconds. This way all values written by Base can be read and used without issue. AFAIK, it does that. Problems arise only with third party data that are more precise than Base's internal data type. This can happen with any database driver, not just ODBC. When those data are used as primary key, Base has no way to address one specific row because its internal representation lacks essential data. This cannot be solved. Well, going to nanosecond precision in Base should cover nearly all cases. I think most databases don't have timestamp resolution finer than nanoseconds :) In this bug the situation is much simpler. The timestamps in my tables are have no fractions of seconds, so the fraction structure element is always 0. My guess is, that Base is failing in translating ODBC timestamps to Base timestamps and/or vice versa. Oh, your timestamps have no fractional part? Then indeed, there is another bug somewhere. I'll try to take a look. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50837] New: Allow customization of context menus
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50837 Bug #: 50837 Summary: Allow customization of context menus Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.3 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: UI AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: mini...@poczta.onet.pl This is basically copy of bug #7449 from OOo bugzilla [1], reported almost decade ago (!). [1] https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=7449 LO gives ability to modify toolbars and menus, but there is no way to modify context menus. There could at least be some text file around and/or USO service to register in macros, as doing GUI may be quite difficult. Said bug says that there has been some work done to implement it, so it may be good place to start. Tried the workaround for Bug 50552, which was: === That has been resolved by synchronizing/enabling the bundled extensions once again: - Close LibreOffice (+ Quickstarter, if enabled). - Select the folder 'bundled' in LibreOffice user profile; path: ...\LibreOffice\3\user\extensions\bundled. - Rename the folder 'bundled' to 'bundled_old'. - Restart LibreOffice (maybe you need to start it twice due to bug 43989). === After restarting, all of the spellchecking functions worked fine. Open my attached version. 1b. OR generate ods with MS Excel: simple enter '0' (just a zero character) to a cell, (I entered A1:1, B1:0, C1:2 just to see where it should be look for the 0), save it. 2. Open with libreoffice, the zero shows correctly. 3. Export pdf (or pdf/a-1a). 4. Open pdf with different viewers, the zero is not there! What should happend: The zero must be in the pdf. Reproducable with: Libre office 3.5.3 linux and 3.5.4 windows versions, the exported pdf viewed with different viewers/platforms. MS Excel 2010. Note: I do not know it is the pdf export's or libreoffice's error, but i think it is NOT the msoffice's error. I looked in the ods as zip file, it is pretty simple, very similar to what I generated with the same steps with libreoffice. For example the '1' and '2' have exactly the same context as the '0'. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Before the manual installation is no possible select spanish in 'Options/Language Settings/Languages/Default Languages for documents', the 'Spanish' option have not check to do selectable, The only selectable option is French!! After the manual installation, close and open LibreOffice and works Spanish, and French of course.
