Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.1.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: johnwu...@yahoo.de Description: If I open .docx files that are created by the CAT Tool "SDL Trados Studio", I receive error messages that are stated below. These docx files just contain bilingual tables. These issues only happen on .docx files and never on .doc files. Unfortunately SDL Trados does not export .doc files. As I'd like to avoid using MS Office by any means, I'd really be pleased if there is a way to read in those docx files correctly without having to convert them to doc or odt first. It will open in two separate windows (two separate editing instances, file editable in both), while it should only be opened once. Another reproducer: ./soffice file.odt & ./soffice file.odt For comparison: ./soffice file.odt & (sleep 1; ./soffice file.odt) This will open the document only once, as expected. This is a regression from the following commit, ported from AOO, related to bug 38915. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 95266] [VIEWING] While having the cursor in a comment and view scrolled elsewhere, after switching back from another window the view jumps to the cursor
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95266 --- Comment #24 from Luke Kendall --- Still present in 6.4.6.2 It is definitely related to comments. I was adding comments with a marker string throughout my document, using several Find & Replace searches, to add the same marker string comment for some editing I'm about to do. If I left the cursor in the text of the comment I had just added, then clicked "Find Next" in the F panel, if I then clicked into the main body of the document (to add another marker string comment to the next problem point), the main body of the document would usually jump back to the page with the previous comment. If instead of leaving the cursor in the text of the comment I had just added, I clicked back into the body of the document on the currently visible page, the F followed by selection of text and insertion of a new comment worked reliably. The problem appears to be caused by leaving the insertion point set in a comment when you navigate to a new place in the document (by scrolling or by searching): when you try to click into the document text, the displayed view jumps back to the page with the comment where the insertion point was. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137350] New: Incorrect display of “ornamental/decorative frames” resp. double-line frames
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137350 Bug ID: 137350 Summary: Incorrect display of “ornamental/decorative frames” resp. double-line frames Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.1.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: dirk@t-online.de Description: If you want to create a kind of “ornamental/decorative frame” around a page, choose under “Page Style\Borders\Line\Style” any of the double line styles, e. g. “Inset”. In LibreOffice Writer, the inner line basically extends beyond the corners (see ornamental frame – “Inset” – LibreOffice.pdf), whereas in OpenOffice Writer, the inner line forms a real corner (see ornamental frame – “Inset” – OpenOffice.pdf). Since the “ornamental/decorative frames” are displayed correctly in OpenOffice Writer, it is obvious that there is a bug in LibreOffice Writer regarding the correct display of “ornamental/decorative frames” resp. double line styles. Steps to Reproduce: see “Description” Actual Results: see “Description” Expected Results: see “Description” Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: see “Description” -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I open a new document. 2. I paste a picture into this document. 3. I try to make a new line to get an distance to the picture - I just wated an empty line under it and wanted to go on writing there. 4. every time I hit the button, the picture goes a line down and instead of creating empty lines UNDER the picture this creates empty lines ABOVE the picture. I knwo, how to get what I really want: I type first an empty line into the new document, then go up and paste the picture - but anyway this seems to me an error, since what I did first is natural thinking - no one assumes, that if putting a picture first into a new document, that this picture will stay there as the last line of the document. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137343] New: Dropcaps can produce Text outside of Text-Borders
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137343 Bug ID: 137343 Summary: Dropcaps can produce Text outside of Text-Borders Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.1.2 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: f.tha...@posteo.net Created attachment 166202 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=166202=edit Bug-Screenshot Let me just explain how to reproduce, this is the way I can accomplish it: 1. Make a new Document 2. Create a new Paragraph-style which uses Drop Caps. 3. Set this new style and "Textbody" to use "Justified Flow" 4. Create two paragraphs: - One short (Drop Caps-) one that starts with a small d (for example "daf"). The d should be underlined by the DropCaps-gray now. - Below that, a longer (Textbody-) paragraph, that starts with a big D. 5. Put the cursor at the beginning of the second paragraph, before the D. 6. Click [Backspace] until you have deleted the small d; the capital D now is the Drop-Cap-letter. 7. Observe the bug: On the right side, the Text should protrude further than usually possible. (See attatched screenshot) SOME LETTERS DON'T SHOW THIS BEHAVIOR. D just is a good one to show the bug. There was some other letter-combination that actually makes the text go less far than it's supposed to... I just forgot which letters they were. Re: calc: jumbo sheets on windows (never gonna happen)
As some point we are going to have to deal with this "long" stuff, it really is not a great thing to have one 64-bit platform operating at half the bit-size of the other platform. Here is one option: (a) create some new typedef, something like the old sal_Long, aliased to "long" (b) replace "long" with typedef in stages (so no functional change). (c) switch the typedef of sal_Long to point to sal_Int64 and fix fallout. Then rolling back (even if temporarily) is easy and the "flag day" is a 2 line change. ___ LibreOffice mailing list LibreOffice@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice
