[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137358] New: Cursor positioned before first heading shows incorrect outline position tracking in Navigator

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137358

Bug ID: 137358
Summary: Cursor positioned before first heading shows incorrect
outline position tracking in Navigator
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rayk...@gmail.com

Created attachment 166214
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=166214=edit
file to demonstrate outline position bug

This happens when there is a heading in a frame, header or footer and content
before the first heading in the document. In this case the Navigator should not
have a heading highlighted when the cursor is positioned before the first
heading.

Steps to repro:

1) Open attached file outlineposbug.odt
Cursor is at beginning of document before the word "Title"
2) Open Navigator Menu->View->Navigator (F5) or Menu->View->Sidebar (Ctrl+F5)
and select Navigator tab in the tab bar

Results:
"Chapter 6" is selected in the Navigator content view Headings content section.

Expected results:
No selection in the Navigator content view.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137357] New: Error message when I open specific .docx files.

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137357

Bug ID: 137357
Summary: Error message when I open specific .docx files.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.1.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: johnwu...@yahoo.de

Description:
If I open .docx files that are created by the CAT Tool "SDL Trados Studio", I
receive error messages that are stated below. These docx files just contain
bilingual tables. These issues only happen on .docx files and never on .doc
files. Unfortunately SDL Trados does not export .doc files. As I'd like to
avoid using MS Office by any means, I'd really be pleased if there is a way to
read in those docx files correctly without having to convert them to doc or odt
first.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Export bilingual file (docx) in SDL Trados Studio
2. Open exported docx with Libre Office Writer.
3.

Actual Results:
An error occurred during opening the file. This may be caused by incorrect file
contents.
The error details are:
SAXException: [word/document.xml line 1]: unknown error
/build/libreoffice-fresh/src/libreoffice-7.0.1.2/sax/source/fastparser/fastparser.cxx:588
Proceed with import may cause data loss or corruption, and application may
become unstable or crash.

Do you want to ignore the error and attempt to continue loading the file?
If yes: File is being opened with less than half of the content showing.
If no: File format error found at C++ code threw N403t114divide_by_zeroE:

Dear Mark Smulders,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

did / can you try what happens with openCL disabled? the
'parallelizing-weaknesses' i had found in the past cleanly disappeared with

with a not and a working configuration you should be able to narrow down the

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137356

Bug ID: 137356
Summary: Files can be opened twice when opened quickly
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: bibisected, bisected, regression
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu

Normally, this can be reproduced by quickly double-clicking twice on a
document. It will open in two separate windows (two separate editing instances,
file editable in both), while it should only be opened once.

Another reproducer: ./soffice file.odt & ./soffice file.odt

For comparison: ./soffice file.odt & (sleep 1; ./soffice file.odt)
This will open the document only once, as expected.

This is a regression from the following commit, ported from AOO, related to bug
38915. Before that, only one window was opened in both scenarios.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 95266] [VIEWING] While having the cursor in a comment and view scrolled elsewhere, after switching back from another window the view jumps to the cursor

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95266

Still present in 6.4.6.2

It is definitely related to comments.

I was adding comments with a marker string throughout my document, using
several Find & Replace searches, to add the same marker string comment for some
editing I'm about to do.

If I left the cursor in the text of the comment I had just added, then clicked
"Find Next" in the F panel, if I then clicked into the main body of the
document (to add another marker string comment to the next problem point), the
main body of the document would usually jump back to the page with the previous
comment.

If instead of leaving the cursor in the text of the comment I had just added, I
clicked back into the body of the document on the currently visible page, the
F followed by selection of text and insertion of a new comment worked
reliably.

The problem appears to be caused by leaving the insertion point set in a
comment when you navigate to a new place in the document (by scrolling or by
searching): when you try to click into the document text, the displayed view
jumps back to the page with the comment where the insertion point was.

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)

Open attached document. It has a shape in range C3 to D6, which is anchored to
cell C3.
Mark rows 3 to 6 and hide them.
Undo.
Error: Shape is "lost".

It seems, that the shape is not really lost but "only" invisible. If the shape
is named, you see it still in the Navigator, but you cannot use the Navigator
to access it. And if you mark the rows again and use "Show rows", the shape
becomes visible.

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137353

Bug ID: 137353
Summary: Remote Files SSH doesn't connect at all
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.6.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: spappala...@renegadetech.com

Description:
When trying to use Remote Files to connect to a Windows server running OpenSSH,
LibO appears not to connect at all according to the server log.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install OpenSSH Server component on a Windows server on a custom port.
2. Test from a command line SSH client on the LibO machine to ensure it works.
3. Start LibO, go to Remote Files.
4. Add service, choose SSH. Enter server name, port, credentials. Save.
5. Click on the service name.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens in LibO and the server logs no authentication attempts.

Expected Results:
LibO should try to connect to the SSH server!

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:

Note that SSHing to a Windows server requires using DOS commands instead of
Linux/UNIX ones. (E.g. "dir" instead of "ls")

Is LibO using the SFTP variant of SSH? If so, the service name should say that
instead of "SSH."

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137351] New: Remote Files FTP doesn't support FTPS (FTP-over-TLS)

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137351

Bug ID: 137351
Summary: Remote Files FTP doesn't support FTPS (FTP-over-TLS)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.1.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: spappala...@renegadetech.com

Description:
Trying to use an FTPS server, both explicitly and implicitly, fails.
LibreOffice should support FTP-over-TLS for security of both credentials and
content.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set up FTP server that supports TLS (I tested with FileZilla)
2. Start LibO, go to Remote Files
3. Add service pointing to the server, using the implicit TLS port.
4. LibO hangs for a minute, then reports a "general I/O error"
5. Change to explicit TLS port number
6. LibO connects without AUTH TLS, so passing everything in the clear.

Actual Results:
LibO connects without issuing AUTH TLS. Happens on 6.4.6.2 and 7.0.1.2.

Expected Results:
LibO should issue AUTH TLS to use TLS to encrypt credentials and content.

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137350] New: Incorrect display of “ornamental/decorative frames” resp. double-line frames

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137350

Bug ID: 137350
Summary: Incorrect display of “ornamental/decorative frames”
resp. double-line frames
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.1.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: dirk@t-online.de

Description:
If you want to create a kind of “ornamental/decorative frame” around a page,
choose under “Page Style\Borders\Line\Style” any of the double line styles, e.
g. “Inset”. In LibreOffice Writer, the inner line basically extends beyond the
corners (see ornamental frame – “Inset” – LibreOffice.pdf), whereas in
OpenOffice Writer, the inner line forms a real corner (see ornamental frame –
“Inset” – OpenOffice.pdf).

Since the “ornamental/decorative frames” are displayed correctly in OpenOffice
Writer, it is obvious that there is a bug in LibreOffice Writer regarding the
correct display of “ornamental/decorative frames” resp. double line styles.

Steps to Reproduce:
see “Description”

Actual Results:
see “Description”

Expected Results:
see “Description”

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
see “Description”

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137348] New: picture pasted into new document

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137348

Bug ID: 137348
Summary: picture pasted into new document
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: schwarz-...@t-online.de

Description:
1. I open a new document.
2. I paste a picture into this document.
3. I try to make a new line to get an distance to the picture - I just wated an
empty line under it and wanted to go on writing there.
4. every time I hit the button, the picture goes a line down and
instead of creating empty lines UNDER the picture this creates empty lines
ABOVE the picture.

I knwo, how to get what I really want: I type first an empty line into the new
document, then go up and paste the picture - but anyway this seems to me an
error, since what I did first is natural thinking - no one assumes, that if
putting a picture first into a new document, that this picture will stay there
as the last line of the document.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open new document
2.paste a picture
3.try to put a new line under this picture.

Actual Results:
see above

Expected Results:
see the text

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I just installed the Version 7.0.2.2 x64
8349ace3c3162073abd90d81fd06dcfb6b36b994
but this version is not listed in the selection list above.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137344] New: Freeze while scrolling because LibreOffice is constantly attempting to connect to the internet (OLE object)

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137344

Bug ID: 137344
Summary: Freeze while scrolling because LibreOffice is
constantly attempting to connect to the internet (OLE
object)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.0.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tele...@surfxs.nl

Description:
Freeze while scrolling because LibreOffice is constantly attempting to connect
to the internet (OLE object)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached file
2. Scroll up & down -> Will hang for a while
3. Scroll again.. next hang

Actual Results:
Hangs for say 10 seconds

Expected Results:
If you cut off your internet connection (set firewall to block) there will be a
nice dialog, can't connect to maps.google.nl (and the whole document functions
speedy).
If internet is available it constantly tries to get to maps.google.nl.
(a) This should be done in a different thread (not main) hanging the doc
(b) Bail out on failure at some point. Makes no sense to try over and over
after failure with the same doc still open. First time on file open I get (time
out bit long from my perspective, but if it's in a different thread... fine)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136654] Next Style does not get triggered if there is Text after the cursor.

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136654

I really hope this gets fixed sometimes... It's even more annoying in
non-Heading instances.
For example, when using a Drop Caps paragraph style, if you try to insert a
Break in-between two sentences, you get two Drop Caps right after each other.
Even if you have specified "Textbody" under NEXT STYLE.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137343] New: Dropcaps can produce Text outside of Text-Borders

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137343

Bug ID: 137343
Summary: Dropcaps can produce Text outside of Text-Borders
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.1.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

  Reporter: f.tha...@posteo.net

Created attachment 166202
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=166202=edit
Bug-Screenshot

Let me just explain how to reproduce, this is the way I can accomplish it:
1. Make a new Document
2. Create a new Paragraph-style which uses Drop Caps.
3. Set this new style and "Textbody" to use "Justified Flow"
4. Create two paragraphs:
   - One short (Drop Caps-) one that starts with a small d (for example "daf").
The d should be underlined by the DropCaps-gray now.
   - Below that, a longer (Textbody-) paragraph, that starts with a big D.
5. Put the cursor at the beginning of the second paragraph, before the D.
6. Click [Backspace] until you have deleted the small d; the capital D now is
the Drop-Cap-letter.
7. Observe the bug: On the right side, the Text should protrude further than
usually possible. (See attatched screenshot)

SOME LETTERS DON'T SHOW THIS BEHAVIOR. D just is a good one to show the bug.
There was some other letter-combination that actually makes the text go less
far than it's supposed to... I just forgot which letters they were.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137342] New: LO7 Writer problem loading document, program not responding after showing the first page.

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137342

Bug ID: 137342
Summary: LO7 Writer problem loading document, program not
responding after showing the first page.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: fan.al...@gmail.com

Description:
When opening a document I used for years with previous versions of LO Writer,
when I open it with LO 7.x. Only one page is displayed, when moving to another
page the program is not longer responding and I see a blue ring circling.
I use an up to date version of Windows 10.
There are no problems with other documents. Only this one, which have about 100
pages.
I already tried starting LO in safe-mode but this didn't help.

Actual Results:
Program not responding

Expected Results:
It happens every time with the same document

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
The only solution is killing LO.

Re: calc: jumbo sheets on windows (never gonna happen)

2020-10-08 Thread Noel Grandin
As some point we are going to have to deal with this "long" stuff, it
really is not a great thing to have one 64-bit platform operating at half
the bit-size of the other platform.

Here is one option:

(a) create some new typedef, something like the old sal_Long, aliased to
"long"
(b) replace "long" with typedef in stages (so no functional change).
(c) switch the typedef of sal_Long to point to sal_Int64 and fix fallout.

Then rolling back (even if temporarily) is easy and the "flag day" is a 2
line change.

Could you give a try at
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Corrupted_user_profile ?
If you still reproduce this, would it be possible you retrieve extra
information? (see

I thought it might help but not sure. BTW, the patch concerns only Windows.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46733] Deleting columns in a table can delete several columns if any cells in that column are merged with other cells

There is some good discussion in the linked OOo bug report on this.
Paraphrasing fyva...
> For tables with merged cells, there are no columns or rows, there are only

> you can't delete neither a row nor a column (there are no rows, no columns),
> you can either delete the whole table or merge the cells with right, left,
> upper or lower cells, by your choice, because each cell have a lot of adjacent

don't scroll to the cursor on gaining focus

an alternative option is to set the cursor to the start line when inserting
text into the multiline calc editview

No, but we do math to show spreadsheet math with them.

Which (as you imply earlier) should be easier to catch.

What is the intended goal of "catching" these, when it's known that they
would happen in quite "legal" cases - with enough monitor resolution,
enough zoom, and/or enough row height, overflow will be guaranteed to
happen.

Cheers,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123070] EDITING: Moving fields in Query designer GUI isn't shown with an arrow any more

2020-10-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon

During our everyday work in SSMS, by and large we need to move between various
conditions – Local/DEV/QA/MOCK/PROD, bringing about the formation of numerous
inquiry tabs – with each question tab associated with various conditions. This
regularly gets unmanageable and hard to monitor.
