It only is associated with fields, that might be placed in a odt. When starting ToolsMail merge, in step 3 there is the option to select an address list. That shows a list of the defined datasources. And also the button Add. I can select a csv-file via that. Can you maybe be more specific where your bug is? thanks - Cor sorry for my delay. I confirm that this seems fixed in 3.5. Personally, I don't see this as a very annoying bug, because the actions leading to triggering the bug are not ones the user would naturally do; they are a bit contrived. it is like in writer I open the search/replace dialog, then close the document, the search/replace dialog does not work anymore. It is a bug, it is embarassing in that it shows bad code/design/... quality, but not high severity overall. For all I'm concerned, we can close this as fixed in 3.5; if somebody wants to hunt down what fixed it in 3.5 and backport to 3.4, that's nice. Create a table with two rows and format the ruby by hand. Set table to no border and no padding. Set line spacing for asian text to the bare minimum. It's an ugly hack and it breaks the idea of using styles and asian phonetic guide, but as it stands LibreOffice cannot seem to do ruby properly and this is your only way around it. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33853 --- Comment #8 from Alex Thurgood alex.thurg...@gmail.com 2012-01-23 07:27:50 PST --- Not sure whether this adds any useful information, but : on Mac OSX, LibO 3.5RC1 1) I open a ODT document made with LIbO 3.3.x containing an *inserted* (not linked) PNG file in it (for example, my signature, which has alpha channel), the image frame holder displays an error and the PNG file is not shown. 2) If I then save that document in 3.5RC1, and then attempt to open it again in 3.3.4, for example, I get an general IO error message, and the document will not open. If I retry once more, the document will open, but the image file is now missing. 3) Once I re-insert the same PNG file via 3.3.4, the same ODT file opens fine in : LibO 3.3.4 LibO 3.4.3 LibO 3.4.4 LibO-dev 3.5.0 Build ID: e42dfec-c60ac25-41e7bcd-3b66bd0 LOdev 3.6.0 Build ID: 87ec1f8-b204871-95bcc5e-4c1bcb5 and also LibO 3.5RC1, but the fact remains that the first time such a file is opened, it can not read the PNG file. No secrets here... The attached presentation is from one of my courses. I left three slides in place (there were almost a hundred to begin with), and added some test bullets in the first and the last slide. Testing was done in Arch Linux with LibreOffice 3.4.5 OOO340m1 (Build:502). As you should see, the first level bullets are light red, second and greater level bullets white. That can be changed bullet by bullet in the normal view (i.e., not even level-by-level but literally bullet-by-bullet). Now try to change the bullet colours globally from the master slide: View Master Slide master, then Format Bullets and numbering. Colour seems to be set to “Automatic” for all levels and the preview pane actually shows *black* bullets for all levels. Changing the colour to light red for levels 1–10 doesn’t change anything when you OK the dialog box. Now go back to the dialog and select only level 2 and set the colour to light red. What happens is that level 1 changes to white while all the other levels *remain* white! (This last step might behave differently depending on what you did before. At least once, for me, the dialog box claimed that all the levels now had light red bullets, which they actually didn’t, so trying to change them to light red was of course not going to work anyway.) One last one: I tried the same at work where I have stable Debian 6.0 and older OpenOffice. There the bullets *were* light red to begin with so it seems different versions of OO.o/LO might even show the same file differently. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 45133] New: EDITING: Entering value Jan 2012 into cell produces 40909 instead of typed in text
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45133 Bug #: 45133 Summary: EDITING: Entering value Jan 2012 into cell produces 40909 instead of typed in text Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.5 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Status Whiteboard: BSA Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: grof...@hotmail.com Problem description: In any cell type in Jan 2012 (without double quotes) and press Enter. In LibreOffice v3.4.5 the number 40909 is displayed instead of text. Similar Feb 2012 and after pressing Enter 40940 is displayed. It looks like my text was transformed into some number value. Maybe some date that is internally mapped with integer value. I have tested the same string in LibreOffice v3.5 RC1 and instead of number date is displayed for Jan 2011: 01.01.2012 and 01.02.2012 for Feb 2012. Date is probably in my local date format DD.MM.. In both cases I don't want to have a date, I just want to have a month data in each column. The work-around is to add single quote = ' character at the beginning of the cell text. Don't know why this text is being changed to date in v3.5 or number in v3.4, but I see no reason to have this transformation at all. I think Calc in this case should not do any transformation and so leaving the field just like it is, text based string. Steps to reproduce: 1. In any cell type in Jan 2012 (without double quote). 2. Press Enter 3. Text get changed to number 40909. Current behavior: 40909 is displayed Expected behavior: Jan 2012 Platform (if different from the browser): Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.25) Gecko/20111212 Firefox/3.6.25 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
