Hello,

New version 1.4 of extension CorelPolyGUI now includes moving average trend
line.
http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/improved-trend-lines/

But it is not integrated with other trend line, it is just an extension as a
workaround for this issue.

Bug persists in LO 3.5.0 (windows port).

The export PDF now has hidden slides export function.

But nothing changes : slides containing inside them transition effects such as
appears on click are exported on a single PDF page with all elements
displayed.

The solution according to me is as said before : generate a new PDF page for
each transition effect.

Example : A slide with 3 transitions effects (ex : 3 elements appearing
successively on click) generates during PDF export 4 PDF pages :
- the start page with none of the elements displayed
- and 3 others pages with for each, a new element added.

Move status back to NEW.

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43866

--- Comment #5 from han...@web.de 2012-02-15 01:19:32 UTC ---
I have seen the problem with wrong glyphs in bulleted lists for a very long
time (possibly since OpenOffice 1) on MacOS X (10.4 to 10.6) with the German
Language Pack.

I think it is also a problem concerning the .doc/.docx _import_ filters because
it happens when you open Word documents from a Windows platform in OOo/LO on a
Mac.

The type of wrong glyph differs. Beside the star shaped glyph and the
placeholder glypgh mentioned by Roman, I have often seen a square with an X in
it.
Possibly depends on the .doc/.docx version.

I am unable to reproduce this with SUSE-specific build based on LO-3.4.5.

It smells like the bug 43868. It was broken in 3.4.5-rc1 but we reverted the
problematic change for rc2, see
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/components/commit/?h=libreoffice-3-4-5id=af45ce4dc9a4b7aea9214b5d74bf60809a4da78d

Bjorn, is it possible that the Ubuntu packages are based on 3.4.5-rc1 or that
they still have the problematic change from some reasons?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46089] New: Impress: objects in a group look ugly in slideshow

   Version: LibO 3.5.0 Release
  Platform: x86 (IA32)

ReportedBy: richard.gre...@onera.fr

1. Ugly slideshow in LibreOffice 350 with an odp document built with
LibreOffice 345.

Some slides contain images passed from the Draw component of LibreOffice. These
images contain some graphic objects (lines, curves, arrows) and some texts
gathered into a group.

The objects in the group look ugly in the slideshow: line thickness is
increased and some contour are filled although they should not be filled !

I had to remove LibreOffice 350 et re-install Libre Office 345 to continue my
work.

2. This problem of ugly slideshow with Impress 350 has been confirmed by other
people. It can be reproduced by inserting some graphic objects in a slide and
gathering them into a group. Objects in a group are ugly, objects not in a
group are clean.

Problem description: a weird interaction between the Standard and Formatting

try to get both the Increase Indent and Decrease Indent buttons showing on the

(the other way round) if I start trying to configure the Formatting toolbar.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Try to get all four of the button mentioned above showing on their
respective toolbars.
2.
3.

I created the clean document on Windows 64 Bit with Microsoft Office 2010. I
saved it and then opened it in LibreOffice 3.5 (also on Windows 64 Bit, but it's
the LO 32 bit version).
Then I removed a blank and added it and saved the changed document under a new
file name, but with .docx suffix.

Then I tried to open this new docx file with Word and it says it tries to
recover it, but it fails. The document is not readable with Word.

I hope this is enough information. If you need more information, just ask.

Summary: EDITING: Insertion of Text is not Possible: [a] above

Classification: Unclassified

 Status Whiteboard: BSA
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: harald-koes...@htp-tel.de

Problem description:

[A] Problem with sections:
[1] Open a new text document.
[2] Type in some words.
[3] Mark the words. - [4a] or [4b]
[4a] Insert Section: Insert Section... Section Insert. A section, within
the marked words, at the top and at the same time at the bottom of the document
is inserted. - [5a]
[5a] Now there is no possibility to insert text above or below the section. You
have to remove the section, to insert a line above/below your text, to mark the
text again and to insert the section again.
Expected behaviour: Possibility to insert text above/below sections at the
top/bottom of a document.

[4b] Insert Section: Insert Section... Section Mark Protect, choose a
password and then Insert. A protected section, within the marked words, at the
top and at the same time at the bottom of the document is inserted. - [5b]
[5b] Equal to [5a] and additional you have to know the password in order to
remove the section.
Expected behaviour: Possibility to insert text above/below protected sections
at the top/bottom of a document.

[B] Contrary problem with sections, if you like to delete all text above a
section:
[1] Open a new text document.
[2] Type in a word, then Enter.
[3] Type in another word and mark this word.
[4] Insert a section within the marked word and protect the section.
[5] Now you can delete the word in the first line, but not the line as a whole
(paragraph break).
Expected behaviour: Possibility to delete the complete line above a protected
section.

[C] Similar problem with tables:
[1] Open a new text document.
[2] Insert a table (2 columns, 2 rows) at the top of the document: Table
Insert Table...
[3] Insert one word into each cell of the table.
[4] Now there is no possibility to insert text above the table. You have to
insert a line behind the table, to mark the content of the table, to move the
content behind the new line and to delete the original table. A move of the
whole table behind the new line is also not possible, hence you can not mark the
whole table, if there is no additional character in front of the table.
Expected behaviour: Possibility to insert text above tables at the top of
document.
Notice: A contrary problem like with sections does not appear: You can delete
everything above a table.

[D] Similar problems with indexes. I checked this behaviour only with a Table
of Contents. I assume, that the behaviour is equal with other indexes. Do this:
[1] Open a new text document.
[2] Insert a heading. Do not create a new line after heading (No Enter!). ---
[3a] or [3b]
[3a] Insert Table of Contents above the heading line: Insert Indexes and
Tables Indexes and Tables... Tab Index/Table, Type: Table of Contents
OK.
--- [4a]
[4a] Now there is no possibility to insert text above the Table of Contents.
You have to delete the table, to insert an empty line and to insert the table
again after the line. If you disable the protection against manual changes
(context menu of table Edit Index/Table Index/Table Protected ...) it is
possible to insert text at the beginning of the table, but not in front of the
table.
Expected behaviour: Possibility to insert text above a Table of Contents at the
top of a document.

[3b] Now the cursor should be positioned at the end of the heading and there is
no line below the heading. Keep the cursor there! Insert Table of Contents:
Insert Indexes and Tables Indexes and Tables... Tab Index/Table, Type:
Table of Contents OK. --- [4b]
[4b] Now there is no possibility to insert text below the Table of Contents.
You have to delete the table, to insert an empty line and to insert the table
again above this line. If you disable the protection against manual changes
(context menu of table Edit Index/Table Index/Table Protected ...) it is
possible to insert text at the end of the table, but not below the table.
Expected behaviour: Possibility to insert text below Table of Contents at the
bottom of a document.
Notice: A contrary problem like with sections does not appear: You can delete
everything above a Table of Contents.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 45394] [FORMATTING] wrong formatting of rtf file

2012-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45394

--- Comment #5 from s-joyemuseq...@vf.uni-konstanz.de 2012-02-15 03:11:37 PST
---
Correction: it works with LibO 3.3.4 (was 3.4.4).

Another bug with the pattern LibO 3.3 OK, LibO 3.4 unusable, LibO 3.5 much
better but not OK: Bug 45910

I confirm also the loading speed: 1 s with Word 2007, 2 s with LiBO 3.3,
about 5 minutes (!!) with LiBO 3.5 (100% CPU work load). See also Bug 44736

Setting importance to major. Importance of Bug 44736 should probably be set
to major too (many RTF files affected).

Classification: Unclassified

  Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement

calc-example

Calc and the Math formula editor are mighty tools. But it will really fulfill
it´s potential if there are the ability to import cell values dynamically. So
you
can do calculations with Calc and show the equation with Math / Formula editor.

for instance:

E = m cdot c^2 = Cell A1 cdot Cell A2^2 = Cell A3

Also the (pre)view of calc functions with Math would be useful. Feel free to
look at the attached example PDF.

To disable spellcheck per document:
1. Press F11, appears Stylist pane
2. Select there Default style
3. Right click it, choose Modify
4. Select tab Font
5. Change language to [None]
Now spellcheck is disabled for document

For disable spellcheck for application for newly created document:
1. Create new template with disabled language
2. Set it as default template
File-Templates-Organize and right click on selected template, choose Set as
default template

I recommend never change existing templates, only create new ones

But when I enable again the second display, the bug re-appears.

Thanks.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46060] Writer corrupts DOCX file, recovery not possible with Office 2010

2012-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46060

--- Comment #4 from Nino nn.l...@kflog.org 2012-02-15 05:04:18 PST ---
Though I have no windows for testing, I'm seemingly able to produce a file in
docx format (i.e. exactly like the clean document) when saving the clean
document
as described in the report:

1. open clean.docx
2. modify it (add a word)
3. save by pressing save button
4. confirm fileformat dialog

So all works as expected on linux rpm-32 LibO 3.5.0rc3.

@ Philip:
Seems as if saving the document did not produce a document of type MS XML
but rather of type ODT. Adding the file extension .docx does not
automatically change the document type. To be able to tell, if this was caused
by a software misbehavior (bug) or by a somewhat not-as-designed user action,
the question is, how the corrupted document was created exactly and if this
behavior can be reproduced (and under which conditions, i.e. OS/platform/etc).
So
you should give exact step-by-step instructions, what you did (which button you
pressed, and so on) to save the document. Then somebody (using the same
Platform if available) should try to reproduce the behavior.

More details:

If I had two monitors enabled (and the bug was triggered as expected) but I

  - Close writer
  - Disable the 2nd display *without rebooting nor restarting X11*
  - Open writer and go full-screen again

The bug does not appear. It only has one monitor enabled, as I told previously.

More:

Based on the last point (LO is operating with only one display):

  - Go to full screen
  - Type my accented characters, all goes fine
  - Return to window mode
  - WITHOUT closing writer, I enable the second display
  - Go to full screen again, the bug re-appears.

More:

Based on the last point (LO is operating with two displays, bug triggered):

  - Go to window mode
  - WITHOUT closing writer, I disable the second display
  - The bug is still here, although I am only using one display.

I expect that information helps.

OS/Version: Mac OS X (All)
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal

The command + alt + f shortcut to open the search replace box disappeared
in the 3.5.0 MacOSX version of LibreOffice.

In the Windows version (Linux too ?), it's now Control + H but Command + H
(the equivalent on MacOSX) is for hiding the windows of the currently running
application (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1343 )

On my console in 3.6.0 master I always see somenthing like this when save file:

(soffice:26018): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to retrieve the file info for
`file:///home/s/Untitled%20111': Error stating file '/home/s/Untitled 111': No
such file
or directory

But meanwhile no problem with it.
To solve problem with extension try this:
1. Tools-Options, in dialog Options: LibreOffice-General-Use LibreOffice
dialogs, enable it
2. File-Save as, in dialog on bottom enable Automatic file name extension
3. revert step 1 to previous state, if needed

I agree that it should be. We have part of this functionality:
Tools-Options, dialog Options LibreOffice-Colors
There we can select any color by mouse or type values of RGB if we known them.
But we have 2 problem:
1. No links from Writer UI to there (user my not find this place)
2. No eye dropper to take color directly from screen pixel. (At this time I use
another program to see RGB values of pixel and then input these values into
LibreOffice)

And Writer and Draw have independent palettes, so adding color in Draw we will
not see it in Writer. And Writer has no option to load color palette.

--- Comment #5 from Philip Gillißen gue...@freenet.de 2012-02-15 06:41:16 PST
---
Hi Nino!

(In reply to comment #4)
 @ Philip:
Seems as if saving the document did not produce a document of type MS XML
but rather of type ODT. Adding the file extension .docx does not
automatically change the document type. To be able to tell, if this was
caused by a software misbehavior (bug) or by a somewhat not-as-designed
 user action,
the question is, how the corrupted document was created exactly and if this
behavior can be reproduced (and under which conditions, i.e.
 OS/platform/etc). So
you should give exact step-by-step instructions, what you did (which button
you pressed, and so on) to save the document. Then somebody (using the same
Platform if available) should try to reproduce the behavior.

Thank you for the test and the clarification! I will try it if I did use the
wrong format and report back (propably this evening).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46071] EDITING: Math formula editor frezees after upgrading to 3.5 - PLEASE HELP

2012-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46071

--- Comment #1 from Andy silva...@katamail.com 2012-02-15 06:50:29 PST ---
I have now restored the user profile, and the formula editor is working again.
However, it remains to be seen why the upgrade from 3.4.5. to release 3.5
caused the corruption, and if there is some other less drastic way to awake the
formula editor other than completely resetting your profile.

For some users who use LO just as it is by default, this could be a non-issue,
but if you (like me) have heavily customized your L.O. install, with modified
and optimized toolbars for each app, hotkeys, etc., starting from scratch means
replicating a LOT of effort, with the fear of having to do it again soon.

had installed ver 3.4.5 in german before which worked well. The standard
install succeeded without any errors. But when I start LO from the desktop icon
I reach the crash (tried it a dozen times). And rebooting the pc won't help
either. I also tried to repair and deinstall LO but still got the same error.
I never selected the danish dictionary and also tried to delete it from the
disk, but still the same crash.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46106] New: Erratic window positioning

2012-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46106

 Bug #: 46106
   Summary: Erratic window positioning
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: LibO 3.5.0 Release
  Platform: x86 (IA32)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Database
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: osav...@uklinux.net

Open a database document
Open an already existing Form

The Form always opens at the left hand side of the display.

I am using a laptop with a dual head configuration. The external screen is to
the left of the laptop. The graphics card is nVidia and driver are the latest
nVidia driver. (I cannot comment on Nouveaux.) The desktop environment is KDE 4
with 3D effects switched on.

Regardless of which display the main LibO application is running in the Form
window always appears at the left hand edge of the laptop's internal screen.

At first it appears to be going to display as expected. (The Form window I have
is almost square being about 1000px by 800px.) But then it moves itself to the
left hand edge of the screen and becomes tall and thin (about 600px by 100px).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46107] New: UI: Voiceover not announcing cell content or position

2012-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon

 Bug #: 46107
Summary: UI: Voiceover not announcing cell content or position
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: LibO 3.5.0 Release
  Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Status Whiteboard: BSA
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Spreadsheet
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: cblouc...@aol.com

Problem description:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Turn on Voiceover (Apple-F5)
2. Create new spreadsheet
3. Type something in a cell
4. Navigate the spreadsheet with arrows

Current behavior:
Column and row not announced and if we move to a cell with content, that is
also not read.

Expected behavior:
Column and row information should be announced as the user navigates cells.
When a cell has content it should also be announced. Eventually voiceover
announces
busy and then the app crashes.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46108] New: Erratic menu behaviour

2012-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46108

 Bug #: 46108
   Summary: Erratic menu behaviour
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: LibO 3.5.0 Release
  Platform: x86 (IA32)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: osav...@uklinux.net

I assume this is partly deliberate but it executes poorly on my system.

The menus switch direction, presumably to try and avoid the menu content from
being lost of the edge of the display. However, it seems to happen far too
soon.

I am using a laptop with a dual head configuration. The external screen is to
the left of the laptop. The graphics card is nVidia and driver is the latest
nVidia driver. (I cannot comment on Nouveaux.) The desktop environment is KDE 4
with 3D effects switched on.

The external screen is 1280x1024 while the laptop is 1920x1200 so the overall
screen width is 3200px wide.

On the laptop display The menu switch over occurs at about 320px, i.e at only
about a sixth of the way across the laptop display, and is very off putting as
it is entirely unexpected and counter intuitive. (The overall distance from the
left hand edge of the external display is about 1740px.)

The behaviour on the external display is ok. The switch over doesn't occur
until the menu is very close to the external display's right hand edge and looks
pretty good.

 [This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2
 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
 http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1

more detail on this bulk operation:
 http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/RFC-Operation-Spamzilla-tp3607474p3607474.html

Tested in 3.5.0 rc3
Bug still persists.
The cause of this bug is that the Data Labels field in a chart is a set
globally for all data ranges in a chart. To remedy this, it would have to be
possible to set different data labels for each data series. In many scientific
applications it is essential to be able to control how all data points on an
X-Y graph are labeled, so this would be a very useful feature

I have LibreOffice 3.3.2 (OOO330m19 (Build:202)) installed on Windows 7
Professional 64-bit. I'm trying to upgrade to LibreOffice 3.5. The installation
stops
and presents a dialog:

Please exit LibreOffice 3.3 and the LibreOffice 3.3 Quickstarter before you
continue. If you are using a multi-user system, also make sure that no other
user
has LibreOffice 3.3 open.

I have not started LibreOffice since booting this system. I always turn off
Quickstarter during installation. There are no other users. I have verified in
Process Explorer that there are no instances of LibreOffice or the quickstarter
running.

So I'm stuck; a hard fail. Can't go further. Can't even install, as it rolls
back all changes.

Created attachment 57101
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=57101
config file that blocks the math formula editor since upgrading from 3.4.5. to
3.5

After fiddling a bit, I concluded that the single file
registrymodifications.xcu keeps track of all customization: if I delete only
this file from the user
profile, all toolbars revert to the default ones, and Formula editor is
working, while all the rest of the profile is unchanged.

So now the problem is: what is the bit of registrymodifications.xcu that blocks
the formula editor? I opened the file with the Notepad, but it is actually
difficult to see through it if you're not used too. And it is quite big too.
So I am attaching my guilty registrymodifications.xcu in case anyone knows how
to check it and give hints on the issue.
Thanks

I am blind and use the NVDA screen reader with Libreoffice using the Java
Access Bridge 2.0.2 to ensure accessibility. This setup has worked well in past
versions of Libreoffice but seems to have broken with 3.5. The program acts as
though JAB is not installed even though I have enabled assistive technology
support in the Options dialog under Accessibility. without this working I am
unable to navigate through menus and dialog boxes using NVDA.

Ubuntu 11.10 with Unity. Multiple instances of LO applications appear as one
icon (that of the initial app) in the launcher. Or, when opening a file from a
running app no icon appears in the launcher. Expected behavior is one icon in
the launcher for each application (writer, impress, etc).
