I'll put this bug into the line. @reporter: Thank you for your report – unfortunately important information is missing. You can speed up fixing process by contributing a usable bug report. May be hints on http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport will help you to find out what information will be useful to reproduce your problem? If you believe that that is really sophisticated please as for Help on a user mailing list Please: - Write a meaningful Summary describing exactly what the problem is - Attach a sample document (not only screenshot) or refer to an existing sample document in an other Bug with a link. - Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show - Contribute a step by step instruction containing every key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem (due to example in Bug 43431) – if possible contribute an instruction how to create a sample document from the scratch - add information -- what EXACTLY is unexpected -- and WHY do you believe it's unexpected (cite Help or Documentation!) -- concerning your PC (video card, ...) -- concerning your OS (Version, Distribution, Language) -- concerning your LibO version (with Build ID if it's not a public release) and localization (UI language, Locale setting) –- Libo settings that might be related to your problems (video hardware acceleration ...) -- how you launch LibO and how you opened the sample document -- everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts Even if you can not provide all demanded information, every little new information might bring the breakthrough. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49269] New: FILESAVE: Saving as RTF: new line before č and removing of letter after č

It was opened correctly in LibreOffice, but I did some modifikations and saved it. After saving, text was corrupted near these letters: č, ė, ū. Opening in MS WordPad also show corrupted text. So I decided, that this is problem with saving. Then I created new document with text Tačiau and saved it; reopened well. Then I marked all text, in font name field manually entered Calibri , pressed Enter, saved document again. Reopened document and see corrupted text: before some letters (e.g., ė, č, ū) new lines added; after these letters – missing some letters. Steps to reproduce: 1. Write text with letter č (for example, Tačiau) 2. Save document as RTF 3. Reopen document 4. Force to change font to not installed font Calibri 5. Save document again 6. Let's say you have a table like this one : +++ ++ B1 + + A1 ++ ++ B2 + +++ ++ B3 + +++ + A2 + B4 + +++ ++ B5 + +++ Cells of column A have a padding of 0.1 cm on all sides, cells of column B only have a 0.1 cm padding on the left and right side, but not on top or bottom (0.0 cm). Normally, text in column B should be closer to the top and bottom border, but it isn't. Unfortunately, you don't see no difference whether the top and bottom padding is 0.0 cm or 0.1 cm. If you change in column B the value to 0.2 cm, the padding becomes visibly broader, even at column A. It seems that LibreOffice Writer doesn't respect the cell-specific padding, at least for the top and bottom padding. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 35270] LibreOffice hangs when it loads spell checker for the first time
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35270 --- Comment #8 from misc2...@danielnaber.de 2012-04-29 04:52:20 PDT --- For reference, here's the comment from unolingu.cxx I was talking about above: // for the time being (developer builds until OOo 3.0) // we should always check for everything available // otherwise we may miss a new installed extension dicitonary // just because e.g. the spellchecker is not asked what // languages it does support currently... // Since the check is on-demand occuring and executed once it should // not be too troublesome. // In OOo 3.0 we will not need the respective code anymore at all. // aAny = nCurrentDataFilesChangedCheckValue; aAny = (sal_Int32) -1;// keep the value set to 'need to check' Further testing unfortunately reveals that it applies to current builds, too (despite saying builds until OOo 3.0). So if you use aAny = nCurrentDataFilesChangedCheckValue, newly installed dictionary extentions will not be recognized until you restart LO. By not recognized I mean that the checkmarks do not appear on the language in the language drop down. Another potential solution for the original problem might be in lngsvcmgr.cxx, LngSvcMgr::getAvailableServices(). It says: // don't used cached data here (force re-evaluation in order to have downloaded dictionaries // already found without the need to restart the office delete pAvailGrammarSvcs; pAvailGrammarSvcs = 0; Commenting out that line makes SvxLinguConfigUpdate::UpdateAll() quite fast so the original problem is gone. Grammar checkers need a restart of LO anyway, so I think the cache could be used here. Trying to debug this issue, I also found you can solve it by just commenting out (*pLayIter)-GetCurrShell()-LayoutIdle(); in doclay.cxx in the if (pTmpRoot-IsNeedGrammarCheck()) block. That code was committed on 2010-06-13. As I'm just debugging and I don't know much about LO internals I have no idea what the side effects of removing that code might be, but everything worked fine for me at a first glance. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49287] New: Cannot configure printers on LO 3.5.2.2
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49287 Bug #: 49287 Summary: Cannot configure printers on LO 3.5.2.2 Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.2 Release Platform: x86-64 (AMD64) OS/Version: FreeBSD Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Libreoffice AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: mels...@earthlink.net After installing LO 3.5.2.2 from the FreeBSD ports tree, I find (1) that LO does not detect or provide a default printer and (2) that attempting to add/configure printers via spadmin results in an error report saying that printers cannot be added because the filesystem is read-only. Note that there is NO indication of what filesystem is involved. This behavior is a complete departure from previous versions of LO, in which I could configure printers with absurd ease. If this is the result of a change to REQUIRING cups, then I suggest this is a major error on the part of the project and needs to be rectified - cups if fine in its place, but it's not necessary or desirable in many circumstances. Short story: I want LO to perform as it did previously and for it to use the lpd/lpr system already installed and in use by all other applications on my system. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
