Be it by design or not, this means that it's an issue that causes user-unsolvable problems, what might be open to discussion is the severity of it's effect on users and their work. Lanczos resampling is currently the overall best choice for downsampling of images. I also found out that bad quality resampling is not only limited to PDF export but also if you put a image in a LibreOffice Draw document and export as a PNG or JPEG so it also needs to be changed there. Maybe there are other cases that need to be addressed. Unfortunately, the algorithm currently implemented for placing ilne breaks inside a paragraph, behaves oddly in this situation. This is probably because the usage of u+2060 character is regarded th the final stage of the algorithm loop, and does not take into account the possibility of succeeding space. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50463 Bug #: 50463 Summary: Allow overlaying conditional formats Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: markus.mohrh...@googlemail.com Currently only one ScConditionalFormat is allowed per cell because they are stored by index in ScPattrArray. We should move to a concept that allows having multiple conditional formats overlaying so that we no longer remove the old conditional format if we define a new one on the same area. This will help extremely to keep the ScRangeList in ScConditionalFormat/ScColorFormat and the cell storage in sync. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Copy data from a sheet and paste it beneath it. 2. Copy data from a sheet and paste it into Thunderbird 12.0 3. All these bugs seem to pop up randomly, so it might just work for you right now. But if you would worked on spreadsheets every day then you would notice the crashes. Current behavior: The system freezes, the cursor can be moved but there is no way of entering into the tty's or do alt+tab. The only way to enter the system again is trough a SSH connection. Where restarting GDM, Xorg or killing soffice.bin doesn't change a bit on the freeze. This is the case on 5+ other machines with different users, but all run the same OS and LO version. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50188] Formatting - Error with LibreOffice Ubuntu docx import, title now on two lines rather than one
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50188 --- Comment #4 from Roman Eisele b...@eikota.de 2012-05-29 08:56:21 PDT --- (In reply to comment #3) Now at least part of the issue appears to be an incorrect use of bold in the title of a docx document, I have re-checked in Max OSX 10.6, LibreOffice 3.5.2.2 on an Intel architecture machine. Even though for both the doc and docx documents the title is on one line, the title in the docx document is incorrectly bold, which is the same issue as is occuring in Ubuntu. Well, after some additional testing, I have to agree with you about the part of the issue: [REPRODUCIBLE] I can confirm that the title of the .docx file appears in bold in LibreOffice, while it is NOT bold when I open the .docx file with MS Office 2010. This happens independently from the question if the typeface originally used for the title ('Cambria') is installed or not. Also, if I open the .doc file version of our test file (attachment 60428) with LibreOffice, the title correctly appears without the bold attribute. So there is really a bug especially in the .docx import of LibreOffice: the title becomes bold, while it is not bold in the .docx file. My tests have been done with LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 (Build-ID: 165a79a-7059095-e13bb37-fef39a4-9503d1) on MacOS X, so you are right to change the Platform to All. But I still think that the *other* part of the original problem (title now on two lines rather than one) is caused by a missing font ('Cambria'), as stated in my comment #1. Even if LibreOffice says that the font was 'Cambria' when you click inside the title, this does not mean that the font actually used for *display* is really 'Cambria' (I have tried!), it just means that the *document* wants to use 'Cambria' for the title. This is verified by your PDF file created on Ubuntu -- the font actually used for the title in the PDF file is 'DejaVu Sans Bold' (sic! I have verified this using Adobe Acrobat). So, thank you very much for insisting on the fact that there is a bug! There is one, of course, namely the erroneously bold import of the title. (I'm sorry that I did not see it earlier; the reason for this may be the fact that, if I have 'Cambria' installed, 'Cambria Bold' is used, but this typeface does not look very 'bold' to me -- so, when 'Cambria' is installed, it is easy to oversee the erroneously bold style, and when 'Cambria' is not installed, a completely different typeface is used ['DejaVu Sans Bold'], and therefore I did again not pay attention to the bold/not bold attribute first.) Could you agree to a change of the Summary field? Instead of Formatting - Error with LibreOffice Ubuntu docx import, title now on two lines rather than one, I would propose to write FILEOPEN: Error in MSO2007 .docx import: title appears errorneously in bold Given this Summary, we have a well-defined, easily reproducible bug. This should make it far easier for the developers to fix the issue ... (And once that the bold style issue is fixed, we can test again if there is still another issue with the title style, or if the other problem really was just a font issue.) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50421] UI: Check for Updates menu leads to an unusable dialog
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50421 Roman Eisele b...@eikota.de changed: What|Removed |Added CC||b...@eikota.de --- Comment #2 from Roman Eisele b...@eikota.de 2012-05-29 09:14:32 PDT --- Thank you very much for your bug report! NOT REPRODUCIBLE with * LibreOffice 3.5.3.2 (Build ID: 235ab8a-3802056-4a8fed3-2d66ea8-e241b8) or * LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 (Build-ID: 165a79a-7059095-e13bb37-fef39a4-9503d18) , both with German langpack installed, on MacOS X 10.6.8 German. For me, the Check for Updates dialog works fine; even if there is no network connection, I get a reasonable error message. But this could just mean that the problem depends on some other variables I am not aware of -- e.g., on the MacOS version. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50469] New: Paste special doesn't allow enhanced metafile leading to crucial information loss
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50469 Bug #: 50469 Summary: Paste special doesn't allow enhanced metafile leading to crucial information loss Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.2 Release Platform: Other OS/Version: Windows (All) Status: NEW Severity: blocker Priority: highest Component: Presentation AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: mare_...@yahoo.com Created attachment 62232 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=62232 odp file samples of paste attempts I need very often to copy pages of the metasoftware workflow modeler into impress for presentations. I wanted to copy via paste special with enhanced metafile format. This works in MS PowerPoint very well. However impress allows only GDI metafiles. When using this option all the words in boxes and the names of all arrows get lost. Pasting as Workflow Modeler Page creates only a link to the Workflow Modeler and displays the page in Workflow Modeler SW but doesn't create the link to the workflow model as such. Additionally the words in the boxes and arrows are lost as well in the impress slide. Simple copy paste also looses als the words. An alternative is paste special as Windows Metafile. This works well in MSPowerPoint. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
