[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50868] Libvisio: Draw Crash/Freeze on loading MS Lync Server 2010 Topology Sample Visio Files
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50868 --- Comment #2 from Fridrich Strba fridrich.st...@bluewin.ch 2012-06-08 01:33:56 PDT --- What I see here is that the files are a mess to render. They have several issues: 1) A file of 9 MB is quite slow to parse for us, since the content of the Visio file is compressed with a custom compression and we have to uncompress them into memory first before being able to parse it. 2) The files have a fair amount of NURBS. There is no NURBS primitive in ODG, or SVG. Instead of approximating them using bezier cubic segments, we approximate them with 200 lines for each two knots. Some of the rendering will be faster once we change this approach. And I will not mind a help of someone who has an experience with that. The NURBS Book is a good source of ideas how to do it. There is a workaround if you are interested for the while: disable antialiasing in Draw and it will render faster, albeit it will not be as nice as it could. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38811 --- Comment #20 from Michael Meeks michael.me...@novell.com 2012-06-08 03:13:46 UTC --- In the discussion in bug 50575, I discovered that SQLite3 has a rather weak notion of datatype, and uses dynamic typing instead of static typing which underlies the SQL data model. Interesting of course :-) - I guess we're not talking though about importing arbitrary sqlite databases, but having a well confined database inside our own file formats, that we can apply our own constraints to (right?). In such a situation surely it is possible to layer constraints / strong typing on top of the database in our code ? [ wouldn't we do that by accident / default anyway ]. Sharpess can also harm the quality, so its kind of a choise to make. The number off unique colors can also been seen as a quality factor, here Irfan is also a bit better (9% more original colors) (85000-93000) Hope it helps Test is made with the attached image, no tweeks on Irfan, just standard resampling (Lancsoz) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 32484] Allow anchor settings in frame styles
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32484 --- Comment #2 from Roland Baudin rolan...@free.fr 2012-06-08 07:14:50 PDT --- The bug is still there in LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 (on Linux). There is still no way to change the anchor style of graphic styles using the UI. However, as was said on the Openoffice bugzilla, it can be done by setting the anchor type of an already inserted graphic object and then using the upper right button Update styles. This works for user created styles but NOT for default styles. As a consequence, it is NOT possible to change the default anchor style used when inserting a graphic. For the 1st I have really strange behavior. I can confirm that at first it was a problem with 3.6.0alpha1 build 80d5a21 BUT after I clicked on the check mark I was never able to get it back. On top of this after I clicked the check mark (unticked it) a whole list of new things showed in the options - Basically any thing that was available to show came up in a list. This leads me to think that the check marks purpose is to Hide List of Non Visible Buttons. Create a table with some content 2. Select some cells e.g. a heading row 3. Click on the borders icon and set top and bottom borders Result: border are drawn okay but the cells get a spacing to contents of 0.1 cm applied I then have to manually change back again to my original setting of 0.05 so that the contents are aligned with the rest of the table. Perhaps I am missing something or being stupid, but clearly there is some default setting being applied if the spacing is 0.1, but there is nowhere to change this default setting (I have looked in the tools options, and in table and frame styles) I recall in ms-word that if I set table cell settings for the first table they would get carried forward for all subsequent tables. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50827 Andras Timar tima...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||tima...@gmail.com Summary|Extra, unwanted, Slovenian |Extra, unwanted, Slovenian |dictionary |dictionary ||(share/wordbook/sl.dic) --- Comment #1 from Andras Timar tima...@gmail.com 2012-06-08 13:16:51 UTC --- It is a so called user dictionary, which belong to extras. It is not trivial to remove it, I mean it would not be a single line patch. Packaging of extras/wordbook should be changed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I certainly missed something, could you give more details ?
