 URL:
 vnd.sun.star.expand:$UNO_USER_PACKAGES_CACHE/uno_packages/lu46afs0.tmp_/dict-en-standalone.oxt/Lightproof.py
 is registered: no

It appears that for some reason the active UNO component registration of the
Python Lightproof.py, offloaded from unopkg to a uno.exe it spawns, crashes the
uno.exe. To find out more, it might help to run soffice from within Dependency
Walker. To do so, do the first four steps from comment 29, and instead of the
last step (unopkg add) do the following:

* Start soffice from within Dependency Walker, see comment 28 of bug 51252 for
details. Add C:\test.oxt via Tools - Extension Manager... - Add Within
Dependency Walker there should now be a window for the spawned uno.exe
sub-process (among windows for any other spawned sub-processes), please copy
all the output from the bottom frame of that window.

If I understand the issue correctly, LO uses poppler for pdf export etc. It
seems, a related bug has been fixed in a recent release (poppler-0.21.4.tar.gz,
Sat December 15, 2012):
  core: ...
 * PSOutputDev: Fix crop on EPS conversion (Bug #30692)

If this is correct (I'm not a developer), it should be sufficient to include
the latest poppler version in future LO releases to generate correct PDFs.

Problem description:

In the deb packages, the libreofficeX.Y and libreofficeX.Y-printeradmin
executable get symbolic links in /usr/bin only if the debian-menus package is
installed.

However, these links have nothing to do with the debian menus.

Since the debian-menus package from libreoffice 4RC1 and libreoffice3.6 are
mutually incompatible, this means that one can either have libreoffice3.6 or
libreoffice4.0 in the standard path, but not both, even if libreoffice3.6 and
libreoffice4RC1 appear to be simultaneously installable.

Furthermore a simple /usr/bin/libreoffice link (with no version appended, maybe
managed via the alternatives mechanism) is missing. This means that any script
invoking libreoffice must be manually updated at every libreoffice update.

On a Mint14-system, the Nemo filebrowser shows mounted samba-drives as
networkdisks in the save-as-dialog. The icon shown by Nemo links to
smb://[server]/[path]

When saving a new file to such a disk a location can be selected but on
clicking OK the error Non-existent file shows followed by a general
I/O-error. After that all file-actions are disabled.

The problem does not appear when selecting the filelocation through
/run/user/[user]/gvfs/[mount-point].

To verify it is not an OS-problem I tried gedit: that can save new files when
browsed to using the nemo-samba-mount-icon.

The problem is 100% reproducable with at least Writer, Impress and Calc (others
not tested).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59022] FILEOPEN general error (IOErrorCode_ACCESS_DENIED) when opening OpenDocument file on CIFS filesystem

--- Comment #11 from Michael Stahl mst...@redhat.com ---
(In reply to comment #8)
 (In reply to comment #7)

  trying it with a local file i get first open from type detection
  filling the XInputStream in the Media Descriptor:

  second open is then to copy the file to a temp-file in SfxMedium:

  ... no idea what to do about it, other than perhaps to somehow use the
  Media Descriptor stream to create the temp file?

 Or close the Media Descriptor stream before creating the temp file? Or think
 again why we need a lock?

this whole SfxMedium stuff is rather complex and i don't understand
much of it anyway...

  i wonder why that used to work in older versions then?

 Here's the difference I see from the strace: In older versions, the first
 opened file is not read from before opening the second file. Possibly the
 lock that is taken is lazy, as in it is gotten only when actually
 reading/writing data from/to the file?

 Actually, the first opened file is *never* read from. So it seems the
 XInputStream in the Media Descriptor is never used in older versions. So
 my guess is that something changed in type detection, or maybe XInputStream
 is less lazy?

interesting. what happens if you revert

Thanks for viewing/editting.

Perhaps this it could be changed from Calc to All LibO products rather than

bugs pointing to this generalised bug) as it would be universally handy where
tabs are used. It exists in Firefox and other programs and would good to see

--- Comment #4 from vulc...@gmx.com ---
Reproduce with LibreOffice 4.0.0.0.beta2 (Build ID:
4104d660979c57e1160b5135634f732918460a0) on Ubuntu 12.04.1 x86_64
The scrollpad or the mouse scroll don't work both

In LibreOffice 4.0 Presenter Console are in Core
(https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.0#Extensions).
I suggest to change component extension to Core

 No idea how that can happen for you.

The easiest idea might be that you did a custom installation of LO and disabled

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 40070] Calc [UI] abnormal after row-freeze FILESAVE as *.xlsx

2013-01-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40070

--- Comment #13 from DB djones@gmail.com ---
Every version of LibreOffice I've used loses Freeze settings in both .xls and
.xlsx files. I've tried every new release to see if this is fixed. This is the
single most annoying feature of LO. It's almost guaranteed to fail with large
files, indicating that the data structures storing this information are lost in
the save process.

A related problem is cell format codes (cell types) appear to get lost. I use
LIBXL to read the .xls files, and it fails to identify the correct cell type.
It could be LIBXL; however, if I cut paste like cells and reenter the
information in the LO spreadsheet, that fixes the problem.

These problems are random. LO and Excel will read the files and work fine,
except for the setting being lost. Because it's random, I have found no way to
provide a test case that reproduces the problems.

Hello

Reproduced with Windows XP and Version 4.0.0.1 (Build ID:

No longer bundled extension but core feature...
More an enhancement request than a bug according to me.

Then it crashed

It didn't happens when selecting the move/copy popup menu.

Hope it can help

I can confirm this with both:
libreoffice |  1:3.6.4-1
libreoffice | 1:3.5.4+dfsg-4

that's from Debian unstable / experimental on amd64

Libreoffice seems to be leaking memory while at it. I also experienced that
suspending to ram when saving breaks the wake up process (or so) but that's
propably someone elses departement.

(In reply to comment #1)
 I can confirm this on 3.6.3.2 so I'm changing the version # to reflect this.

 @Reporter - Version reflects the oldest version that it is confirmed that
 the issue exists, not the latest that the bug has been seen on.

 Marking as:
 3.6.3.2
 Platform ALL
 OS ALL

 New (confirmed)
 Normal (can prevent high quality work for some users)
 Medium (default for Normal bugs, I don't see a reason why we should change
 this in this case)

 Thanks for reporting!

@Joel Madero - I know, that in bug report I must specify the oldest version
from where problem started, but I can't afford to keep all previous versions of
LibO for reviews. That's why I specify LibO version that I use in daily work
(despite the fact that it is still not recommended for everyday use). In LibO
3.5 and 3.6 there was a huge amount of bugs that forced me to install latest
version. Yes, I have to use both LibO and AOO, because if some file could not
be opened in one suite, it could be opened in another without any problems.

I think it's even more rare ... and a) OR 32 bit only (only tested windows x64)
b) just a corrupt driver...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49202] Bundled EXTENSIONS RU, EN, HU Dictionaries broken

2013-01-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49202

--- Comment #35 from Urmas davian...@gmail.com ---
If you mean Python-UNO bindings: Enables automation in LibreOffice through a
Python language component, it is uninstalled as I have no use of automation of
any kind and there is no any hint in installer that it is required for spelling
checker.

So either fix the dependencies or use truthful descriptions in installer.
Having useful error messages is also nice.

(But of course support for Firefox toolbar pictures is the top-priority
instead.)

I think this is a rather important bug, so setting importance to high.

Export to PDF is a very common way to preserve contents of a document, so it is
not acceptable to lose information IMHO.

For your info, I tested 4.0-rc1 and the bug is present there (expectedly, I
guess, as it was in the night builds it was generated from). I wonder if it's
only my machine which has three languages installed (I guess that this
configuration is not so common). If it's a compiler-bug issue as Lemoyne
suspects, maybe it's time to leave it on hold until ubuntu packagers compile it
against with a different compiler version, libraries, etc.

Did you try to rename your LO directory profile (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile)?
If you still reproduce this, could you retrieve an useful backtrace (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport#How_to_get_debug_information_.28on_Mac_OS_X.29)?

Finally, I'll quote Roman (put in cc of this bug):
1) Do you have any accesibility features enabled? Apple’s accessibility
features like “VoiceOver” or “Enable access for assistive devices”, which get
enabled in “System Preferences Universal Access”, are known to cause many
crashes and freezes in LibreOffice. So please try to disable any accesibility
features, then check if the problem is still reproducible.

2) Do you have installed any window management/user interface
utilities/apps/control panels/extensions for Mac OS X like
   * AquaSnap* BetterSnapTool
   * BetterTouchTool * Breeze
   * Cinch   * Divvy
   * DoublePane  * Flexiglass
   * HyperDock   * iSnap
   * Moom* RightZoom
   * ShiftIt * SizeUp
   * SizeWell* Spectacle
   * Stay* TileWindows
   * WindowTidy... or something similar?

And/or do you use any mouse cursor/pointer utility, i.e. some little
application or control panel etc. which animates or replaces etc. the mouse
curser/pointer, like
   * LazyMouse?

And/or do you use any special software which could be related to accessibility
stuff, e.g. a screen reader, screen magnifier, speech recognition software,
a text-to-speech (dictation) application, or similar?

All these and many similar utilities rely heavily on Mac OS accessibility
features and therefore can cause LibreOffice to crash or freeze. So please
check if you have installed any utility of this kind and try to disable it
(or to add LibreOffice to the list of excluded applications for the utility,
if there is such a thing).

So please check these possibilities, if any of them helps to make the crash go
away, and report the results here.

Attachment as described

Hi

Reproduce the fault import:
Step 1:
- Make a rectangle in CorelDraw
Step 2:
- Strech it with the option scale with image, so the rectangle will now get
thick side lines
Step 3:
- Save the .cdr
Step 4:
- Open the .cdr in LibreOffice - the rectangle now has all sides of equal
thickness

System:
-Windows 7
-CorelDraw X5 15.2.0.686
-LibreOffice 4.0.0.1

Attachment:
- Picture of the failure
- Example1.cdr (original file)
- Example1.odt (imported file)

I like the libcdr very much! Great work Fridrich!

Thanks
Ralf
