However, these links have nothing to do with the debian menus. Since the debian-menus package from libreoffice 4RC1 and libreoffice3.6 are mutually incompatible, this means that one can either have libreoffice3.6 or libreoffice4.0 in the standard path, but not both, even if libreoffice3.6 and libreoffice4RC1 appear to be simultaneously installable. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59022] FILEOPEN general error (IOErrorCode_ACCESS_DENIED) when opening OpenDocument file on CIFS filesystem
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59022 --- Comment #11 from Michael Stahl mst...@redhat.com --- (In reply to comment #8) (In reply to comment #7) trying it with a local file i get first open from type detection filling the XInputStream in the Media Descriptor: second open is then to copy the file to a temp-file in SfxMedium: ... no idea what to do about it, other than perhaps to somehow use the Media Descriptor stream to create the temp file? Or close the Media Descriptor stream before creating the temp file? Or think again why we need a lock? this whole SfxMedium stuff is rather complex and i don't understand much of it anyway... i wonder why that used to work in older versions then? Here's the difference I see from the strace: In older versions, the first opened file is not read from before opening the second file. Possibly the lock that is taken is lazy, as in it is gotten only when actually reading/writing data from/to the file? Actually, the first opened file is *never* read from. So it seems the XInputStream in the Media Descriptor is never used in older versions. So my guess is that something changed in type detection, or maybe XInputStream is less lazy? interesting. what happens if you revert 0c2206081de38a41597aadfb2255540d6308be63 ? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 40070] Calc [UI] abnormal after row-freeze FILESAVE as *.xlsx
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40070 --- Comment #13 from DB djones@gmail.com --- Every version of LibreOffice I've used loses Freeze settings in both .xls and .xlsx files. I've tried every new release to see if this is fixed. This is the single most annoying feature of LO. It's almost guaranteed to fail with large files, indicating that the data structures storing this information are lost in the save process. A related problem is cell format codes (cell types) appear to get lost. I use LIBXL to read the .xls files, and it fails to identify the correct cell type. It could be LIBXL; however, if I cut paste like cells and reenter the information in the LO spreadsheet, that fixes the problem. These problems are random. LO and Excel will read the files and work fine, except for the setting being lost. Because it's random, I have found no way to provide a test case that reproduces the problems. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

If you still reproduce this, could you retrieve an useful backtrace (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport#How_to_get_debug_information_.28on_Mac_OS_X.29)? Finally, I'll quote Roman (put in cc of this bug): 1) Do you have any accesibility features enabled? Apple’s accessibility features like “VoiceOver” or “Enable access for assistive devices”, which get enabled in “System Preferences Universal Access”, are known to cause many crashes and freezes in LibreOffice. So please try to disable any accesibility features, then check if the problem is still reproducible. 2) Do you have installed any window management/user interface utilities/apps/control panels/extensions for Mac OS X like * AquaSnap* BetterSnapTool * BetterTouchTool * Breeze * Cinch * Divvy * DoublePane * Flexiglass * HyperDock * iSnap * Moom* RightZoom * ShiftIt * SizeUp * SizeWell* Spectacle * Stay* TileWindows * WindowTidy... or something similar? And/or do you use any mouse cursor/pointer utility, i.e. some little application or control panel etc. which animates or replaces etc. the mouse curser/pointer, like * LazyMouse? And/or do you use any special software which could be related to accessibility stuff, e.g. a screen reader, screen magnifier, speech recognition software, a text-to-speech (dictation) application, or similar? All these and many similar utilities rely heavily on Mac OS accessibility features and therefore can cause LibreOffice to crash or freeze. So please check if you have installed any utility of this kind and try to disable it (or to add LibreOffice to the list of excluded applications for the utility, if there is such a thing). So please check these possibilities, if any of them helps to make the crash go away, and report the results here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
