2013-05-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63695

--- Comment #13 from Lionel Elie Mamane ---
(In reply to comment #11)

Cannot immediately reproduce on LibreOffice 3.5 on Debian GNU/Linux amd64.

> 5) change record pointer in the upper table to anything else but first
> record (only once!!! do not touch anything else)

There are several ways to do that, and maybe this happens with only one of
them?

 - Click in the "left margin" of a record, selecting the whole record.
The status line of the table says e.g. "Record 3 of 4 (1)".

 - Click in the first data column of a record, selecting only that cell
   (one column of one row).
The status line of the table says e.g. "Record 3 of 4"

 - Use the arrows in the status line of the table.

 - Type a number in the status line of the table; where it says "1",
   e.g. put "3"

 - Use the arrow keys of the keyboard to go down

 - Press TAB repeatedly until one changes record

> 6) Press a button to open information service on internet (I put
> www.onet.pl). It is not even a macro.

I still don't understand what button I'm supposed to push. I don't see any "out
of the ordinary" button in the form, and I don't understand how a button on the
form would open a website without a macro.

> 9) Not touching anything else start typing in the bottom field "Additional
> info" and observe the diskette button on bottom panel ;)

So I have to click in the "add_info" field to put focus in it?

(In reply to comment #12)
> one more thing I forgot: If the bottom text field "Additional info" is below
> the screen move the screen BEFORE pressing the button.

For me, if I do that, the form moves back to top when I go back to ut and I
have to scroll again.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46672] Extension update faces 403 error

2013-05-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46672

Hi Julien,

I do have the latest version of (4.0.3.3) LO now (RC 3, which is available as
"pre-release" at the LO website.)

The problem existed from 3.5.0. In fact at that time I faced a series of
problems, out of which the first two seem to be resolved now.

So given that I am already using the latest LO, and even if I am using an old
version of PALO, LO should be able to update it. (Otherwise what's the point of
this function?)

I suspect that PALO is really NOT compatible with LibreOffice.
(It is not even listed at http://extensions.libreoffice.org/.)

I reset my profile per instructions in the wiki, but write still crashes when I
copy form the Logos application. I was able to copy from a web page in Chrome
and paste with no issues.

Demo of FileDateTime() returning partially-garbage result

The FileDateTime(path) function is supposed to return a string giving the
modification date & time of a file.

In 4.0 it became broken. It was working in 3.x.

Now you get results like "04/DD/ 17:58:02"

For some reason the DD and are not replaced with values.

I will attach a trivial demo spreadsheet. The code in the macro is as follows:

Sub MyMacro

  Dim path : path = "/etc/passwd"
  Dim d
  d = FileDateTime(path)
  MsgBox "FileDateTime(" & path & ") = """ & d &

End Sub

Save testcase in .doc in libreoffice (any version), open result in word 2007,
look at headers → they are in small font like in libreoffice

Select headers, refresh (F9) : theyr formatting changes (a lot)

Libreoffice export to .doc is wrong, but somehow it looks ok till the first
document refresh

As per the debate on the l10n list, the most appropriate ISO code is nqo (cf

It's a right-to-left language, not sure if that makes any difference in setting
up.

I'm not sure if the feature exists in LO but the Mozilla Pootle server has a
function where commonly used special characters can be added so the show in the
translation UI. Kairaba has found this useful, so if that's possible, adding
the following would be great:

These dots in the TOC are one Tabstop formatted with dots.
Here the tabstops are generated:

They are generated correctly, I just debugged this function. aToken has the
right cTabFillChar etc, it's no difference to the other ones which are
correctly displayed.

Don't know where the right place is to look at this.

Thank you for bringing that point to my attention.

I agree entirely. It started out as a bug and, if effort is to be
expended in correcting it, I suggest consideration should possibly be
given, in order to conserve precious resources, to enhancing this aspect
of LibreOffice.

I'll leave the matter in your capable hands.

If there is any way I can assist, say, by filling out an enhancement
request I would be very pleased to oblige. I wish I had the knowledge
and ability to be of more help.

All the very best.

Warmest regards

Summary: LibreOffice Calc cannot open document without explicit
cell indexes
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: squink...@gmail.com
  Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.0.2.2 release
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 79065

libreoffice_bugreport.xlsx

LibreOffice does not display cells without an explicit rowindex and cellindex,
while Microsoft Office correctly displays the generated spreadsheet and
verifies it as valid.

Attached you will find the sample generated file (libreoffice_bugreport.xlsx)
and the code used to generate it (using OpenXML SDK 2.0). The spreadsheet is
reported as valid in the OpenXML SDK productivity tool, and opens correctly in
Microsoft Office. The text in cell A1 displays "test". In LibreOffice, the text
in cell A1 is empty.

Reproduction:
1. Open the sample .xlsx document in LibreOffice.
2. If cell A1 is empty, the bug is repeated.
3. Open the sample .xlsx document in Microsoft Office.
4. Cell A1 contains the text "test".

[optional]
5. Open the .xlsx file in the OpenXML SDK 2.0 Productivity Tool
6. Click the "validate" button to see that Microsoft sees the generated
spreadsheet as valid OpenXML.

Attachments:
1. libreoffice_bugreport.xlsx: spreadsheet displaying the bug.
2. ExcelReport.cs: sample report generation using OpenXML SDK 2.0 from
Microsoft without row and cell indexes

to be used by people who are not immersed in computing science. Using
obscure regular expressions is therefore (as much as it might be
convenient for the knowledgeable) just not acceptable. Absolutely not
acceptable. A vestige of the past. We have to do better. That's the
point of a GUI.

The next point is the matter of changing the data. If you change
something from text to numeric, you have changed the data. What we are
talking about here is the degree to which the data is altered. If a
person elects to turn a column into numeric format, in most instances
they would appreciate the application cleansing any data that is not
numeric (even carriage returns and other detritus that may have made its
way into the columns). Having said this, as an engineer, I'm not
totally comfortable with it even though I know that people (like my
wife) who are simply users of computers would think this is a good
thing.

So I then thought of a compromise. What if there were a checkbox with a
label "Force Numeric Content". If the user ticks the check box, they
are signalling that they do want the application to parse each cell,
delete all non-numerics and then format the remaining numerical
characters according to the format they have specified, for example,
-$1,234.00.

Hope you find these thoughts helpful.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write to me.

Warmest regards

Kevin Loughrey CPEng

Hi Kevin,

it is right, change the format NEVER change the content (I hope so).

With Find&Replace to delete the leading apostrophe (try search in: values, or
find: '(.*) replace: $1 with regular expressions activated), all works for
me;

or besides the option referred by Jacques, if data came from an import, set up
the import options to a proper data interpretation.

If data are pasted, use pasted special - unformatted to get the window with the
import options.

Hmmm, that's weird: I do not reproduce the bug anymore with LO 4.0.3. And it
works as expected with the current master (Version: 4.1.0.0.alpha1+
Build ID: 64670c3ea25b0f8c8975946971b041b71f36206). What changed for me is that
now I use XFCE instead of Gnome-shell. As a consequence I can't confirm that
the Noel's patch fixes the problem. So, can somebody else try again with LO
4.0.3 and the master ?

Best regards. JBF

Running 4.0.2.2 and it crashes every time I try to save a file with tables,
pictures, different field types, footnotes, and comments, etc., to .rtf. I
don't try to save to .rtf often, so I'm just noticing this behaviour now.
Saving to .pdf, .doc, .docx all work fine.

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)

viewing the lack of formulas

Steps to reproduce:
 - Open a new spreadsheet
 - Enter values as shown in attached screen shot
 - Apply a Conditional Formatting in the range A1:A10
 Icon Set - 3 Arrows
Select "formula" for both thresholds and enter:
=B4 in the 1st one
=B5 in the 2nd
 Ok Ok

When changing values in cells B4 and B5, arrows are properly modified, but:
 - only after Ctrl+Shift+F9
 - when returning in CF with Manage, formulas are no more displayed (as you can
see on the screen shot) and then:
- leaving CF Manage by Cancel preserves the formulas
- leaving CF Manage by Ok causes the loss of formulas
Formulas are not lost when saving the file

Hello Jürgen, I have tested it with LibreOffice 4.0.3.3 on a Windows 7 machine
with pdfforge.org and it gives the correct printout. after that is tested again
with version 4.0.2.2 on a other Windows 7 pc and pdfforge.org. and I sow the
bug.

I think because it workes on 4.0.3.3 because of the fix forbug 60280
  on
version 4.0.3. I recomment updating to version 4.0.3.3 that came out and check
of the bug is fixed for you. if it doesn't fix your problem please let me know
and set the status to unconfirmed.

I think my bug report 63278 is a duplicate of this bug.

One workaround that works is to paste formatting (but only if the destination
cells have the same conditional formatting as the originals). I've changed my
Paste Special options on one spreadsheet to save an operation. However, I have
another spreadsheet with different conditional formatting in the destination
range, so I use the following...

It has been observed that the CF is still present but for some reason is not
displayed. The easiest way to make it display once more is to select the
affected cells (they're probably still selected from the Paste operation) then
hit the Format Paintbrush then click on the first cell and watch the CF become
displayed again.

In other words it *might* be a display refresh bug (requiring re-evaluation of
the conditions after the values changed) rather than necessarily a plain CF
bug.

(Running Version 4.0.2.2 (Build ID: 4c82dcdd6efcd48b1d8bba66bfe1989deee49c3) on
Windows 7 32-bit)

Hope the workaround helps reduce frustration and chance of introducing errors
until this is fixed.

OK!!! I managed to set up completely new simple database and form in LO and
have exaclty the same effect :

How to:
1) Must have JDBC class in path
2) STart attached file for test database.
3) Enter password "lK2%hH1!", user "sql28360" should be stored - some free
mysql server on freemysqlhosting.net
4) Start form "ed klient" - the only one
5) change record pointer in the upper table to anything else but first record
(only once!!! do not touch anything else)
6) Press a button to open information service on internet (I put www.onet.pl).
It is not even a macro.
7) Internet browser opens. Take your time during browsing different pages. It
must last for a while (1-2 minutes is enough)
8) with ALT-TAB return to the form
9) Not touching anything else start typing in the bottom field "Additional
info" and observe the diskette button on bottom panel ;)

Keep the fingers crossed that reproduction works for You!

That is good news in a certain way.

I uninstalled the OpenSuSE version and installed the latest version 4.0.3.3
from the LibreOffice repository and - behold! - the file is rendered like it
should be.

The issue is thus resolved.

Thank you
Boris

not reproducible with LO 4.0.2.2 (Win7 Home, 64bit), when checking for 4.0.3 on
May 09, 2013 -> new release 4.0.3 was recognized

Therefore, I decided to close this issue for the time being and to reopen it if
it would occur again.

I'm getting the same error. I'm auto-mounting the network share with fstab. The
error does not occur with files on the local drive. I have tried numerous fstab
settings and always get the same error. I've tried mounting as smbfs and cifs
with the same error resulting. The error does not occur when saving a file in
the open format, but MS formats result in this error. File Save As and giving a
new name functions fine. I can then do File Save As and select the original
name, select to overwrite, and it saves the file.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64397] New: Wiki Publisher: Unknown certificate message, when trying to add TDF wiki to "Tools - Options - Internet - MediaWiki"

2013-05-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64397

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 64397
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Wiki Publisher: Unknown certificate message, when
trying to add TDF wiki to "Tools - Options - Internet
- MediaWiki"
QA Contact: libreoff...@bielefeldundbuss.de
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: thack...@nexgo.de
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: Extensions
   Product: LibreOffice

Hello @ll,
I hope, I have chosen the right (sub)component and the like. If not, feel free
to change it ... ;)

I have tried to add https://wiki.documentfoundation.org with my user name and
password to "Tools - Options - Internet - MediaWiki" (I use the Germanophone
version of LO, so I hope, I have translated it the right way ... ;) In German
it is "Extras - Optionen - Internet - MediaWiki, then click on „Hinzufügen..."
... ;) ). When I have entered all data and click on "OK", then I get the
message

Das Zertifikat der gewählten Webseite ist nicht bekannt.

(roughly translated: The certificate of the chosen website is not known.) ...
:( I have tested it with http://wiki.documentfoundation.org, but this leads
only to a long loading LO without any further reaction (I stopped it after
nearly 30 minutes). In comparison, I can add the Germanophone Wikipedia with my
user name and password there without any problem ... ;)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to "Tools -> Options -> Internet -> MediaWiki"
2. Click on "Add..."
3. Enter "https://wiki.documentfoundation.org"; in the field "URL", your user
name of the Wiki in "Username" (in German: Nutzername) and your password in
"Password"
4. Press enter or click on "OK"

Found it in LO Version 4.0.3.3 (Build ID:
0eaa50a932c8f2199a615e1eb30f7ac74279539) under Debian Testing AMD64.

Sorry for the inconvenience and have a nice evening
Thomas.

Confirming that the bug has disappeared in ver. 4.0.3.3 (this pertains to both
bugs #64271 and #64269).

Thanks a lot for the fast turnaround; I'm impressed!

The recollection is that this is a deliberate approach: to ensure that GNOME
will pass us a FUSE / file-path rather then an smb:// style URI. *but* it seems
we have a couple of issues here:

1. our .desktop files tell the system to send us URIs not fils
2. our file-selector code does the same, I guess this guy:

SalGtkFilePicker.cxx:gtk_file_chooser_set_local_only( GTK_FILE_CHOOSER(
m_pDialog ), sal_False );

Is one enemy here :-)

  Reporter: off...@davidengland.co.uk
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.0.2.2 release
 Component: Database
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description: All my Forms suddenly became very large, so only a small
portion is visible. Ps, how to I fix it?

Note: I transferred the database to Windows 7 where Forms work OK, so the
problem relates to XP

Note: LibreOffice was recently installed for me by an IT specialist. I had
previously given up on OpenOffice after years of successful use.

Steps to reproduce:
1. the problem first arose when building my first report with 4.0.2.2, where
the problem also persists
2.
3.

Current behavior: Forms far too large to fit the screen

Expected behavior: Forms to fit the screen, as designed

(lowercase/uppercase, etc.)?
