[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 66233] New: EDITING: Enhancement request: Enable copypaste of cell area from Calc into Chart data tables

2013-06-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66233

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 66233
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: EDITING: Enhancement request: Enable copypaste of
cell area from Calc into Chart data tables
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: bugquestcon...@online.de
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.0.4.2 release
 Component: Chart
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:

Currently it is not possible to copy a cell area in Calc and paste it as an
area into the data table of an chart. in Impress, Writer and Draw.
When an area is copied in Calc, next a cell is selected in the data table of
the chart, and the Calc area is pasted, all figures appear only in the selected
cell.

As consequence all data needed in an Impress chart must be entered by typing or
copypaste cell by cell. Both methods are very time consuming. Method 1 also
has typical mistype chance of 10% .This results in a tremendous loss of
productivity. It is also a disadvantage point of LibO against MSO.

Impress charts do not have a style, thus keeping often used charts in an
Impress template helps to maintain the layout of charts but then data must be
replaced in above-mentioned

Enhance ment Reques:
Enable copy paste of 1- and 2-dimensional areas from Calc into a chart table.

Result:
A big increase of productivity and matching a Powerpoint feature.

I can be contacted.
Operating System: All
Version: 4.0.4.2 release

whether its correct (though that's not guaranteed).

Then mark this bug UNCONFIRMED.

It does not happen in ODT file and DOCX format, only in doc.

The resived doc file is OK (cell values appear in normal order) in other office
applications like Kingsoft Office and Yozo Office, so I guess it's rather a
FILEOPEN filter issue.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 66235] New: Develop File Open (at least) filter for ACD Canvas .cvx file format

A simple sample .cvx file, not compressed

Canvas illustration software from ACD Systems allows the free combination of
vector, image, and text objects with high precision (equivalent to a CADD or
GIS program) on multiple layers and multiple pages. It has a unique file format
that is not documented, and may or may not be compressed in any given instance.

LO/OO Draw is the only program I've seen that seems to have a similar structure
with multiple layers and the ability to use multiple object types relatively
freely. It would be useful to have an alternative to Canvas for when the older
versions no longer work in newer Windows (also formerly in Mac but no longer
works). Is there a way to reverse-engineer the .cvx format (no documentation)
to at least be able to open it in Draw (then save in an ODF format of course?
Certain obvious restrictions might be reasonable, such as only uncompressed
files (so you can read the file structure whatever it is).

A simple sample file is attached with a few typical objects and text on a
single page and layer. Things can get much bigger and more complicated.

in each cell,save;
2. Re-open that file, change into record-changes mode (edit-changes-record),
change the value of a cell in the first row to something else, and save as

Watched with JavaFerret-32.exe running w/JRE1.7u25.

All Java Accessibility elements of SwingSet2.jar demo track correctly.

But with LODev 4.2.0.0alpha0 2013-06-27, I am not seeing Tab movement or cursor
based focus changes showing. Some of the pop-up window frame events will show
a focus change. And some of the accessibility events--text, selection, value
will report. But little movement of the Java Events for track focus--would
expect every tab or cursor movement in menus, or even typing text to update. So
something is still not quite correct.

2. Ctrl-P and see field Pages
Expected: range of pages, for example on screenshot above should be 2-3 because

How to reproduce :

1) Open a database file containing tables.
2) Click on the Tables icon
3) Activate the Document preview mode on the right
4) Toolbar icons are overlaid on the table contents and table colum headers are
misplaced.

This is a UI (re)drawing problem. We had a similar problem at one stage in
Impress with document previews showing toolbar icons on top of the preview
itself.

It is also a regression over 3.6.x

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58995] ACCESSIBILITY: [a11y] Java SE JRE 1.7 Java Accessibility API not fully supporting LibreOffice UNO Accessibility API via JAB bridge

2013-06-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58995

--- Comment #34 from DavidO d.ostrov...@gmx.de ---
Complete steps how to reproduce the original problem:

1. install Windows 7 64 bit
2. install JRE1.7u25 32 bit (or JDK)
3. activate JRE AT support with C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\\bin\jabswitch
-enabled
4. install and start JavaFerret-32.exe
5. activate track focus events in JavaFerret-32
6. install and start LO with the patch 7746de6e42d5957fa62fa278e2c46a0cb472dc01
7. activate JRE1.7u25 (or JDK) in LO
8. activate AT in LO
9. create an empty writer document
10. type space
11. type Alt-F4
12. Save Document Alert dialog appears
13. type tabs multiple times in this dialog

behavior with the patch:
14a. focus gain/lost events are reported in JavaFerret-32 (for Save,
Discard and Cancel buttons)

behavior without the patch:
14b. focus gain/lost events are not reported in JavaFerret-32

Note:
JavaFerret-32 can be obtained here:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 66171] List Boxes don't work for single fields with Mysql database

2013-06-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66171

--- Comment #1 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk ---
Created attachment 81527
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=81527action=edit
An HSQL version

The attached ODB contains an HSQL database and a form, AC, that when opened
shows items in Table AC with a list box containing Currency codes from
Currency. This works.

If you create the same two tables (AC and Currency) in MySQL, and modify the
ODB and AC form to use them, it fails as described in my report.

I also tried using JDBC instead of MySQL Native Connector. This also fails,
albeit with a slightly different error message:

Column index out of range, 21.

Fix looks lovely David - thanks so much for that ! :-) Assuming that code was
once useful for JDK 1.6 (?) could we make removing that branch JDK version
specific ? :-) It'd be a shame to bust the otherwise working 1.6 accidentally.

And I guess we should back-port this to LibreOffice 4.1 :-)

Thanks !

The gerrit thread had.

Patch Set 1: This need some tweaks before it is merged

Your patch fixes your build but breaks the logic. With this patch 64-bit
shell extensions will not work for users who do not have the 64-bit VC2010
Runtime installed. I'll prepare a better patch soon.
Michael StahlJun 20 6:55 PM

Patch Set 1: This need some tweaks before it is merged

Andras is right: the 64bit dlls are copied to solver/bin so that the installer
finds them since they are packaged as files, while the 32bit ones are in some
mystery MSM thingy and (apparently) don't need to be in solver.

confusingly the same find_msvc_x64_dlls function also finds debug dlls (for the
build CPU architecture, not necessarily 64bit), which should not be in the
installation set; i'm not sure if it's actually necessary to copy these to
solver/bin nowadays (AFAIR it was needed for MSVC 2008 but they should actually
be installed on the system by MSVC).

so clearly there's some need for cleanup here.

But Fridrich merged it anyway to 4.1. So I'll close this.

The reality is that the -4-1 and master branches are un-buildable without this,
and the build fails in a silent and extremely ugly fashion.

Personally I'd prefer to have something buildable that misses out on some
obscure feature - but ...

recommendation these days is to not set it and let the auto-profile detect do

Still reproducible on LO 4.0.4.2 (Win7 32bit). Wrong equation shown on attached
file, also if reproducing with new spreadsheet.

Rechanging:
Version to: 3.4.3 - oldest release been reported
Platform : All - also affect Windows (should be all platform bug)
I think it is a major/critical problem because wrong data (equation) displayed

Fix looks lovely David - thanks so much for that ! :-) Assuming that code
was once useful for JDK 1.6 (?) could we make removing that branch JDK

While it would be trivially to introduce a JDK 1.7 specific branch a lá

In your hsqldb file, the link between the two tables shows up as a 1-n join in
the Relations dialog.

How have you got this set up in your mysql db ? Mysql doesn't enforce
referential integrity if your are using

In order to give us a better idea, could you post the output of :

SHOW CREATE TABLE tablename

for each table from your mysql console ?

Or better still, dump the database as sql output using mysqldump (which would
give us the data too). My concern is that if I just try to convert your hsqldb
table definitions from within LO, I might not get exactly what you have in your
own db setup (field definitions, foreign keys, etc).

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 66248
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: PPTX export reuslts in corrupted according to
PowerPoint2010
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: linuxhi...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.0.1 rc
 Component: Presentation
   Product: LibreOffice

Hi,

When exporting the attached LibreOffice-Presentation to PPTX-Format, several
things seem to go wrong:

- When openning the document, Powerpoint complains that the file is corrupt and
offers to repair it. During the repair process it reports that it removed some
content.

- Charts are almost always completely garbled. Funny thing is, the charts look
ok when the pptx-file is opened with LibreOffice.

The export to PowerPoint97 seems to work a lot better. Although charts are
saved as images, the file is not corrupt and can at least be viewed with
PP2010.

Let me guess... One of your JOIN tables has a TIME or TIMESTAMP (DATETIME)
column, and the native connector you use is compiled for LibreOffice 4.0.

There is a backwards-binary-incompatible change in LibreOffice 4.1 for
time-related datatypes. We may do another one between 4.1.0.rc1 and
4.1.0.final, or not, not completely decided yet. We plan that this will be the
last one and the LibreOffice 4 ABI will stabilise once 4.1.0 is released.

The MySQL native connector needs a recompile for LibreOffice 4.1. Hopefully we
can do that in time for the release.

I believe this is not a bug.

The reason your first line is not centred is that,

* The first and the second paragraph were applied Title 3 style. For the
default Title 3 style, before text indent of 0.76cm and first line indent
of -0.76cm were applied.

* The first and the second paragraph were also applied some direct formatting
with before text indent 1.27cm and first line -1.27cm.

* When the first line is negative indent (-1.27cm for your case) and there is
no outline numbering, the first line is surely indent left, for your case,
1.27cm left from the center position.

Change both before text and first line indent to 0 fix your issue. So this
is not a bug.

This has been a long standing limitation in OOo and now LO.

You can use Named ranges as source for Pivot tables but not for charts.

This would allow to have charts defined for later data input (currently that is
not possible because the data range is automatically reduced to cells
containing data)

See this topic as an example (there are many others)
http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/19627/calc-charts-automatically-increasing-data-range/

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 66171] List Boxes don't work for single fields with Mysql database

2013-06-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66171

--- Comment #4 from Alex Thurgood ipla...@yahoo.co.uk ---
So I set up my own test db using the table definitions provided in your hsqldb
file and created a corresponding form manually (because the wizard is broken at
the moment).

I can not reproduce your problem on my master build on OSX :

Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 51c79f97a90eaf469d1d2531f3f0eccfafe0f94c

FWIW, here are my mysql table definitions :

CREATE TABLE `currency` (
  `CurrencyCode` varchar(3) NOT NULL,
  `CurrencyName` varchar(40) NOT NULL,
  `Default` tinyint(3) NOT NULL,
  `Base` tinyint(3) NOT NULL,
  `DefaultRatetoBase` decimal(10,0) NOT NULL,
  PRIMARY KEY (`CurrencyCode`)
) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1

CREATE TABLE `Ac` (
  `bid` int(10) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
  `Ac` varchar(100) DEFAULT NULL,
  `cur` varchar(3) NOT NULL,
  PRIMARY KEY (`bid`)
) ENGINE=MyISAM AUTO_INCREMENT=5 DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1

Then I copied over the data from your hsqldb tables to my mysql tables using
the Append data function from the Copy Table Wizard that starts when you drag
and drop one table to another db. This fails BTW if you don't append the db
alias of the new table before the table name in the wizard dialog, I will see
if there is already a bug report for that.

Next I set up my main form to be based on table Ac, and then substituted cur
for a combobox using the following SQL query :

SELECT CurrencyCode from test.Currency

with SQL as the Type of List Contents

and set the properties of the combobox to be dropdown.

On testing, this works for me.

1) edit file content.xml
2) remove all line form table:tracked-changes to
/table:tracked-changes.
3) save file content.xml
4) zip all file
5) change name repair.zip to repair.ods
Now file repair.ods working properly in LibreOffice.

But my friend tell mi try open broken file.ods (who any verion libre can't

Tim,

It could be the constraint. What happens if you remove that constraint (my
sample tables do not have it, as they are ISAM based) ?

Hi guys,

Yes - I did ask for this to be a MAB, but I guess we need more details here.

http://docs.python.org/3/reference/import.html#replacing-the-standard-import-system

Seems to suggest that it is correct for an __import__ hook to raise ImportError
to allow processing of other hooks to continue - but I'm no expert here - I CC
David Bolen who is though :-)

Tim - the values of name and 'x' - don't seem to start with 'typeOf':

  if x.startswith( typeOf ):
 try:
d[x] = pyuno.getTypeByName( name + . + x[6:len(x)] )
 except RuntimeException as e:
raise ImportError( type + name + . + x[6:len(x)] + is
unknown )

So I'm a tad confused by the first fragment. I guess that it comes from:

   except RuntimeException as e3:
  # no known uno type !
  raise ImportError( type + name + . +x + is unknown
)

ie. this is not an UNO type: which is fine of course - and AFAICS we should
throw that exception.

That is presumably creates noise on the console - but ... it's unclear to me
how to do better :-) [ but I'm no python guy ].

Replaced my tables with yours. Still can not reproduce on OSX 10.8.4 with 4.2
master build.

The form works just fine for me. Will have to see about Linux later when I'm in
front of the machine again.

--- Comment #11 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk ---
The constraint makes no difference. Neither does the data content.

I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit. I started with a downloaded RC1 build from the
website, then yesterday I added the ppa for pre-releases
(http://ppa.launchpad.net/libreoffice/libreoffice-prereleases/ubuntu precise
main) and installed:

Version: 4.1.0.1 Build ID: 410m0(Build:1)

No change in behaviour from the 4.1.0.1 RC1 version I first tried.

The Mysql version is 5.5.31. I am using InnoDB.

When the problem first arose I only tried HSQL in order to prepare a demo to
attach to this report, expecting it to fail. I was very surprised when it
worked. I then back-created the sample mysql database tables I sent you from
scratch, in a brand new database, to make sure it wasn't something odd in my
main system database.

I am using MySql Connector 1.0.3 (as well as having tried JDBC as reported
previously).

Sample file

Hello,

After some research, I can't see any post concerning this bug.

When I edited a form so as to modify an interger format, I got a plain window
with 3 buttons. I'm using the LibO 4.1.0.1 RC1 version.

I tried t do the same thing using LibO 4.0.2.2., I got the expected window.

I illustrated the bug in the attached file. I also attached a sample file.

Steps to reproduce.

1. Open a nex base file.
2. Creat a table using assistant.
3. Creat a form using the new table, opting to modify when creating.
4. Select an integer unit.
5. Open the properties window.
6. Try to modify format for this zone.

Hope that I've been enough clear. Feel free to ask for more details.

Sorry if this bug have already been reported.

Bunty

Alex: I'll try to find some time after my day time job. For your information
Lionel pushed some fixes about ListBox 3 days ago. Perhaps one of them may have
helped but surely Lionel will bring more accurate information:-)

Tim: what's your odbc version? Would it be possible you test with a recent
daily build from master (future 4.2)? (see

Problem description:

after updating today libreoffice to release 4.0.4.2, the spelling corrector is
no longer working.
As my standard language is Dutch/Belgium, suddenly in all programs (Writer,
Impress, ..) he is putting my entire texts written in Dutch in red marker?

When I right click to select on of my other dictionaries (English or French)
they are no longer visible, where they were active in the previous release.

expected behaviour:
- correct working of the spelling corrector
- other selected dictionaries (select at the moment of install/update) are
visible too

I haven't tried odbc, just native mysql and jdbc. I haven't got all the
libraries loaded for odbc access. If I get time I'll try that (but I'm
currently hunting down another problem, this time with dates, which also used to
work fine).
