Not only a Ubuntu-packinging-problem. The same bug appears in packages of
OpenSUSE.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 45606] EDITING: Default-value in GUI doesn't work in SQL

rob...@familiegrosskopf.de changed:

   What|Removed |Added

--- Comment #9 from rob...@familiegrosskopf.de ---
I have had a look in the *.odb-file. The settings of the Default-value, when
editing a table, are saved in content.xml. This is only saved for the Base-GUI,
not reachable to the database.
Could be a better idea to save this by SQL in the database, when using the
table-editor of the GUI. So you would be able, for example, to save a timestamp
as default, which isn't possible yet.
You could get the same behavior for input values with a GUI-Default, when you
use a form and set the fields of a form to a GUI-Default-value. The only
difference is, that you couldn't see the GUI-default when opening a table.

I have changed the version to LO 3.3.0 (it never worked in another way in any
version) and set it to enhancement.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open e.g. Writer

@Caolan, Christan: rumour has it that you are building our official RPM
binaries.

One possible explanation of this bug is that they are compiled against an
UnixODBC that is binary-incompatible with the one in recent OpenSUSE releases.
I'd like to check that out; could I see a comparison of the /usr/include files
of UnixODBC on our build machine and on OpenSUSE 12.3?

@robert: please confirm the following.

You use the same MyODBC driver binaries in all tests. These come from the
OpenSUSE 12.3 repositories.

Removing myself from Cc again, this is about formula expressions in Writer
which I know nothing about, only that they are completely different from Calc
and don't share syntax or semantics.

Just tried that =sum(A2:B2)+sum(A3:B3) in 4.1.0 actually works as expected
(note the bug was reported against 3.6.3). I think expressions like
=sum(A2:B2;A3:B3) are not supported, I get a ** Expression is faulty **
for such thing.

And yes, it seems that an unknown or omitted function name is mapped to sum.

@vmiklos: as barely-discussed on IRC, this crash has only ever been reproduced
on OpenSUSE, nobody attached a backtrace-with-symbols, so I give up and I'm
handing off to you as SUSE-person.

Reproduction instructions:

1) Install MySQL or MariaDB, or secure access to a server.

2) Install MyODBC (from OpenSUSE 12.3)

3) In MySQL connection:

   CREATE DATABASE fdo65830;
   use fdo65830;

4) replay the SQL script in attachment 81091
   (e.g.:
SCRIPT /path/to/libretest.sql;
   )

5) In ~/.odbc.ini, add something like:

[fdo65830]
Description = fdo#65830 test DB
Driver = MySQL
Server = FILL_ME
Database = fdo65830

6) libreoffice --base
(use a 4.x TDF build, not OpenSUSE build)

7) Connect to an existing database
   Next

8) Connection using ODBC (Open Database Connectivityà
   Next

9) Browse / Select fdo65830 in list, OK, Next

10) Use name and password, as/if required
Next

11) Don't register database
Open database for editing
Finish

12) You should see a crash, possibly after reentering username/password.
If not, go to tables to force a connection. Still no crash?
Report here as unreproducible.

If some buttons in Starting center are disabled, the keyboard navigation with
direction keys is impossible over them.

It should skip them and navigate to some sensible choice from enabled buttons
instead.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67943] ACCESSIBILITY: Issues with tabbed dialogs on Mac OS X

2013-08-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67943

--- Comment #4 from Niklas Johansson sleeping.pil...@gmail.com ---
I inspected some other programs and their tabbed dialogs. It seems they use
AXRadioButton with AXRoleDescription = tab.

Another observation is that controls that belong to a tab is children of
AXTabGroup. In LibreOffice they are Children of the AXButton (tab).

When a tab is selected in LibreOffice we get the hierarchy
AXApplication: LibreOffice

If not selected we get:
AXApplication: LibreOffice
AXWindow: The name of the dialog
  AXTabGroup
AXButton: The name of the tab

When the tab is selected it should still have the same hierarchy as when it's
not selected.

yes,you are right.
i saw the changelog for 4.1 that:
Send along your fonts with your documents. Writer, Calc and Impress now allow
embedding fonts in their documents.

--- Comment #3 from Niklas Johansson sleeping.pil...@gmail.com ---
Hi Michael

Sorry to say, that I actually don't know what it is suppose to do. The reason I
tried it was that I did some testing with VoiceOver screen reader. I had quick
nav activated so the arrow keys only moved the VoiceOver cursor and I needed to
press Option + arrow key to switch tab. By mistake i pressed Ctrl and noticed
this crash.

I also noticed that the same keyboard combination gives a crash if focus is on
a checkbox.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65323] Objects anchored as characters aren't treated as characters

2013-08-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65323

--- Comment #1 from Mike Kaganski mikekagan...@hotmail.com ---
Another manifestation of this problem:
if I search for trailing spaces using this regex:
[[:space:]]$
then it finds all lines that have objects anchored as characters after a space
in the end of a line:

[something][space][obj-anchored-as-character][eol]

This makes it impossible, e.g., to trim trailing spaces.

Whenever I use spacing between characters, the text runs into the right margin,

this problem prior to 4.1. (AOO 4.0 does not have this bug, as far as I can
see.)

I attach a document where the footnote is hit.

A sample document that I created, in ODF, to test the Find-and-Replace
behavior. I noticed the same bad behavior.

Problem description:

The find-and-replace function is totally broken. When I specify a small search
key of one or two characters, it finds half the document at random, and most
of the time the matches are NOT valid. Replacement makes hash of the document.

When I specify a long search key, it won't find it at all--even when I know
it's present.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open or create a document in Writer.
2. Click Find or Find and Replace
3. Specify a search key and, where applicable, a replacement.
4. Ask it to find (or replace) the search key.

Current behavior:
For small search keys, it finds everything, 99 percent plus of which is NOT a
match.

For larger search keys (typically multi-word phrases): it doesn't find it at
all, even when I can see that it is present.

Expected behavior:
Should find the search key and ONLY the search key.

I think I have all the ingredients to make this work for OOXML documents. The
plan is to support the encryption format used in Office 2007 and maybe switch
to agile encryption info format used in 2010 and 2013 once it also works for
importing of this files. Generally for exporting/saving it shouldn't matter
which format is used as all Office 2007, 2010 and 2013 should support all
encryption info formats.

First version for testing the encryption should be available very soon.

--- Comment #3 from Niklas Johansson sleeping.pil...@gmail.com ---
Before a dialog can be used it's library needs to be loaded that means that
most of the time DialogLibraries.LoadLibrary( Standard ) is needed. And if
you provide that line of code then you should not get the error you are
referring to.

I did a test with LibreOffice 4.0.4 (Windows 7) and LibreOffice 3.5.7 (Ubuntu)
and added a dialog to Standard in My Macros on my computer. I hooked it up to
the image in your document, restarted my LibreOffice instance so the Standard
library of My Macros gets unloaded. When I reopen the document and click the
image I get a LibraryNotLoadedException, as expected and just as I get if the
dialog is in the document.

Everything in your bug description is expected behavior (maybe not that obvious
though). The reason that it works the second time is that the Basic IDE loads
the dialog library when it opens the basic code to show you the offending line.

You could possibly argue that the function CreateUnoDialog should be extended
to load the dialog library before it tries to execute it. I do not know what
impact that might have on performance etc.

Please feel free to file an enhancement request to extend CreateUnoDialog if
you feel strongly about it.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68020] New: handling of body of cell of table: inconsistent depending on type and style

2013-08-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68020

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 68020
CC: mst...@redhat.com
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org

Summary: handling of body of cell of table: inconsistent

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: lio...@mamane.lu
  Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
 Component: Writer
Depends on: 60842, 62147
   Product: LibreOffice

@mstahl: continuation of the saga of bug 60842 and bug 62147.

Tracker bug.

Consider the attached document.

Compare row April Prime and April Secundo.

Why does the second column of April Prime display the office:value,
but in April Secundo the text:p child? The only difference between
the two is the order between the text:variable-set and the actual
PCDATA (text). Surely that should not make any difference.

I'm surprised that on row April Prime, the second and third column
display differently. Depending on the format, the office:value
attribute or the text:p child are used? I'd expect that to be a bug.
It should *always* take the office:value attribute.

However, in the first three rows, the body may not be always displayed,
but it is always *treated* in some way. In particular, text:variable-set
tags are treated. See that variables (foo|bar)Apr(Pri|Sec) as well as
(foo|bar)AugPri are set, and displayed in the page footer:
 f41-b41,f42-b42,f81-b81

On the other hand, for cells with office:value-type=string
(rows August Secundo and August Tertio), as soon as there is
an office:string-value (that is, the second column), the
text:variable-set in the body are not evaluated; the variables
fooAug(Sec|Ter) stay at 0. This is what causes bug 67930. In the
absence of an office:string-value, however, the body is displayed
and executed, and the barAug(Sec|Ter) variables do get set.

Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 3.5 all versions
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description: Cropping a picture sometimes gives a image that is
stretched.

Steps to reproduce:
1. select an image that has been inserted into a Writer document
2. right click to bring up the context menu
3. press p (Picture)
4. Press Enter to bring up the tabbed dialog choose Crop
Ascertain that the Keep Scale radio button is activated
In rather rapid succession (or on a slow computer):
5. Press Alt+t (Top)
6. Enter 1.8
7. Press Enter (this should be accomplished before the default units have
been input by the application)

Expected behavior: the image is cropped 1.8 (default units) from the top and
the proportions of the remaining image have changed accordingly.

What happens: The contents of the remaining portion of the image have been
stretched to fill the previous boundaries of the picture.

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 3.5 all versions

This is a regression compared to 3.5.4.2; most probably introduced by the fix
to bug 60842:

Can't reproduce with LO 4.0.4.2 and 4.1.0.4, both on Ubuntu 13.04 (64-bit).
Both documents look correct here. Maybe you should add some step-by-step
instructions on how to reproduce the buggy behavior. (Please change the bug
status to UNCONFIRMED when you done.)

As you confirmed that you can't reproduce the bug with 4.1 anymore, I suspect
that the cause of the bug is the ICU library, which is known to be very slow
and CPU consuming (and buggy). As of 4.1 LO switched to Harfbuzz instead (see
Release notes).

That happens me randomly so I can't reproduce it when I want... but, I can say
I hibernate my machine constantly... so something can be making it to crash
when resuming the machine... normally I have 2 or 3 documents open.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63763] keyboard shortcuts for cut and paste (ctrl+c, ...) are broken in not English layout

2013-08-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #3 from Sina Momken digi...@gmail.com ---
I have the same problem. When my keyboard layout is in a non-English language
(in my case Fa) most shortcuts don't work (e.g. Ctrl+C, Ctrl+S, customized LO‌
shortcuts).

My system: Linux Mint Debian Edition Update Pack 6, XFCE 4.8, LibreOffice
3.5.4.2, both libreoffice-gnome and libreoffice-gtk packages installed.
I've not tried resetting my user profile yet.

(In reply to comment #5)
 ...
Applications such as gedit, nautilus, fileroller (Archive Manager) which are
parts of gnome act like before, which means there is no difference which
keyboard layout is currently active, the keyboard shortcuts work OK. But
other applications usually is not the same, like LibreOffice, Zim, Blender,
 ... .
Also in my case, as AshkanV mentioned in comment #5, many other applications
work just fine. I'm in XFCE but I also have Gnome, KDE and Mate installed. And
text editors of all of these DEs work correctly.

In the both links below they blame packages libreoffice-gtk or
libreoffice-gnome.

Someone also suggested resetting LO user profile in duplicate Bug 63763:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile

However as mentioned in comment #13 this bug could be reproduced in LibreOffice
4.0.2.2 on MacOS X 10.8.3, which complicates the situation.

This problem occurred for me today when I tried to install LO 4.1.0.4 on a new
Lenovo desktop computer. I think the work-around is difficult to follow and
this should be viewed as a bug and fixed.
