I can't think of a more critical fault than one that permanently(?) loses user's data, other than one that does so in more common circumstances. Using L.O. 4.0.3.3. I have just lost two files because of this fault, and it seems that nobody cares. As things stand, I certainly won't be recommending LibreOffice to anyone given that they care so little for users' data. I have a few old password-protected .sxw files which I opened, edited, and resaved in the same format. Now when I try opening them, I get The password is incorrect. The file cannot be opened., and the work-around given in comment 4 isn't working for me. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69858] FILEOPEN: Firebird crash when trying to create a DB
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69858 --- Comment #5 from Andrzej J.R. Hunt andr...@ahunt.org --- Strange, any chance you could rerun with the wizard again, since if the .odb doesn't exist we won't get anywhere near the crash. (From my understanding the wizard first creates a .odb which uses firebird internally (but when creating there is just a property within the .odb specifying firebird), but doesn't actually load firebird until trying to open the .odb file, which is when the crash occurs, but the .odb (if saved from the wizard) should really still exist, unless it was otherwise removed (as can happen in /tmp)). Also, any chance you could see what 'make dbaccess' does? This runs unit tests on some existing firebird dbs. For completeness: can't reproduce with master today, on openSuse 12.3 (--enable-debug and --enable--dbgutil). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
