Let me take over the mentoring for this one from Kendy.

The solution is actually quite simple.

Use a map in ScRangeFindList for maEntries like std::map and storing the color in ScRangeFindData. This also removes
the need for the static function ScRangeFindList::GetColorName. Now your insert
method does two things(actually std::map::insert will do the work for you):
If the range is already in the map return the old color otherwise insert and
return the new color.

Bonus points for cleaning up gridwin4.cxx:794 and following.

Follow-up easy hack if interested could be to make
ScInputHandler::InitRangeFinder use one of the existing formula parsers and go
through the formula tokens instead of implementing our n-th formula parser.

 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
I've created a table of content in a Writer document. I added some extra
entries manually (select text and the select in the menu Insert > Indexes &
Tables > Entry...). The manually added entries are missing the hyperlink
function. Nothing happens when I ctrl + click on an entry. The other entries
created from the Heading 1,2,3.. are active.

Cross-link to a forum question:
http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/27880/hyperlink-is-missing-for-toc-entries-based-on-inserted-index-entries/

Steps to reproduce:

1. Highlight text somewhere in document.
2. Insert > Indexes and Tables > Entry... > Index of "Table of Contents" >
click Insert.
3. Right-click on ToC > Update Index/Table.

Current behavior:
The newly added TOC entry is inactive for CTRL-click, no hyperlink is present

Expected behavior:
The entry should present a hyperlink as well ad other predefined Heading
entries.

Confirming this problem with Mac OS X.6.8 and LO 4.1.4.2 (HSQLDB 2.3 'split'
configuration). If the image control has image_path (pointing to the linked
images) as data source, the RB throws a heap of Java errors (see attachment).
If no data-source is set, the report runs normally (but, of course, without

Test data - must be installed as /tmp/tickers.csv

Problem description:

The attached spreadsheet has some complicated Basic macros but they worked in
LO 3.6.x, but crash the process using LO 4.2.0.1 (silent abort, followed by an
apport run).

I traced it down to a call to the Sort() function, which
calls a UNO function to sort some rows. Here is the relevant
Basic code (which seems to abort only in context):

   dim args() as new com.sun.star.beans.PropertyValue
   sCellrangeName as String (contains "$A$8:AC47")

   oCellRange = oSheet.getCellRangeByName(sCellrangeName)

   oCellRange.Sort(args())  'never returns, process aborts

Steps to reproduce (Unix only, sorry):
1. Download the attached "tickers.csv" into /tmp/tickers.csv
(this path is hard-coded in the demo program)
2. Open the attached j.ods spreadsheet. Enable macros.
3. (Click the Design Mode ON/OFF icon if necessary to exit
design mode -- working around bug 73293)
4. Click the yellow "Reload tickers.csv" button
Click through a few MsgBox displays.

If it does not crash, repeat - it always crashes by the 2nd try.

The code is located in Basic macro module j.ods -> Standard -> SortUtils
(search for "DEBUG BEFORE sort")

Current behavior: Fatal process abort

Expected behavior: Should work or give a useful error message

I also am having the problem same as described in by Luuk below. Error dialog
is also the same (in English though).
I am trying to update from 4.1.3.2 to 4.1.4.2.
My system is Windows 64 HP AMD 64-bit.

While there is a work-around, I really do like to monkey with installations in
case there is some secondary effect.
I also give this high importance, as I have not see such a terminal error in
other software installation.

I am willing to wait until next version, hopefully this can be fixed.

your test .uot document looks abnormal and matches your description, however
I'm not able to reproduce your issue from scratch...

if I load the .doc test document and try to save it as .uot, the resulting file
can be reopened with no issues in LibO.

maybe a Linux specific issue?
anyway I suggest to upgrade to 4.1.4.2 and tell us if bug is still present.

Put some values in A1 and B1, go to data -> filters -> auto filters

then click the down arrow on either A1 or B1 and you'll see the referenced
dialogs :)

define what you consider "a lot" of fonts. 50? 100? 200? more?

I have 157 fonts installed on Win7 64bit and I see no issues with 4.1.4.2

did you try upgrading to 4.1.4.2? is issue still there?

set status to NEEDINFO

removed BASIC from Summary and Component since it has nothing to do with the

This doesn't make much sense from a UX or design perspective.

We eliminated the drop down from the Open button by including iconic
representation of the recently used document list in the StartCenter. While the
drop down menu function is retained in the File -> Recent Documents list.

Just why should we have a duplicate menu item listing?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 73289] New: MAILMERGE: Can not remove page-break from multiple paragraphs at once if doc came from mail-merge

2014-01-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73289

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 73289
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: MAILMERGE: Can not remove page-break from multiple
paragraphs at once if doc came from mail-merge
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: james_av...@yahoo.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.3.2 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 91498
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=91498&action=edit
Sample Mail Merge output where page-breaks can not be bulk-removed

In Writer, you can remove the "page break" setting from all paragraphs which
have it by selecting all (^A) and then Format->Paragraphs. The "Break"
checkbox will be red if some but not all of the paragraphs have it set.
Clearing the box removes page-breaks from every selected paragraph which had
it.

But this does not work for page breaks inserted by Mail Merge. Something about
those page breaks makes them immune to being changed during a multi-paragraph
format change; in fact,
the paragraph formatter seems to be unaware that they exist because the Break
check-box is not red when formatting multiple paragraphs. You can remove the
breaks one paragraph at a time, however. So those MM-generated breaks are not
completely bogus.

This is a problem for users because Mail Merge does not offer the option of not
inserting page breaks, so the only work-around for generating continuous output
(not one page per record) is to manually remove the the MM-produced page breaks
from the generated .odt file. It is impractical to remove the breaks one
paragraph at a time.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. First, open the attached "test_manuallycreated.odt". Select all (^A),
Format->Paragraph->Text Flow, and notice that the "Break" checkbox is red.
Check it and apply, repeat and un-check it. All paragraphs are affected. This
is how it should be.

2. Now open "test_mmoutput.odt" which has a similar structure, but the
page-breaks came from Mail Merge. Select all (^A) and Format->Paragraph->Text
Flow, and the "Break" checkbox is white (should be red), and there is no
sequence of operations which removes all the MM-generated page breaks, except
to edit the format of each paragraph separately, one at a time (which is
impractical with many data records).

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: When editing Paragraph formats for multiple paragraphs
simultaneously, page-breaks inserted by Mail Merge should behave just like
manually-inserted page breaks, i.e., they should be recognized by the Para.
format editor in multi-paragraph mode.

on the ThumbnailView List of recent documents.

@Kendy, @Rodolfo - is odd handling of Base file names somehow related to lack
of ODF thumbnail associated with the Base .ODB format so gets a different name,
or to something else?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72469] VIEWING: Document Preview in LibreOffice StartCenter not working for PDFs

V Stuart Foote changed:

   What|Removed |Added

   Severity|normal |enhancement
 CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu

Setting as enhancement, PDF are filter input into Draw (with pretty good
fidelity). It can be saved at that point and you'd have first slide/page of the
.ODG held in the ODF container.

But if the PDF is just closed--there is no ODF rendering for use as a
thumbnail. Instead it is represented with the generic LibreOffice ODF Icon.

This enhancement would require refactoring of the ThumbNailView as well as
identifying some location in the user profile to hold the first page views.

Enhancement could be a value since a similar treatment might be possible for
other non-ODF formats, e.g. TXT, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX, etc.

2014-01-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Created attachment 91496

Exported PDF (with some missing images) after saving to different name and
directory

I finally have a test case for you. It is yet another genealogy report from the
GRAMPS database, but this time just a sample database, so no sensitive data.
Fortunately (well, for testing) the problem already happens with this small
report.

It is interesting to note that the affected images are the three images on the
right hand side of the first report page. In my previous long report the
missing images were also usually on the right hand side (right aligned), but
not all such images were missing and are missing in this sample. Now that I
think of it: The affected images in the other problematic book were also on the
right hand side. This is probably not just coincidence.

If I scroll down after saving the document for the first time and then up I can
see the "Read error" message on the affected images. If I then do a PDF export
the images are missing in the resulting PDF, just the frames remain.

To me this looks as if during the "Save as" operation the links of the affected
images to their in-memory location get broken, thus LO being unable to show and
correctly save those images afterwards.

Hope you have now everything you need to fix this bug.

tommy27's screenshot shows the optional hyphens as visible hyphens in the
comment. These hyphens should only be visible if the word needs to be wrapped
(that means only the hyphen after "…gesellschafts-"). The screenshot suggests
it was still an issue.

However I cannot reproduce it anymore, in version 4.1.3.2 on Linux it appears
to be fixed in both outliner and comments.

Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: c.elli...@dsl.pipex.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.4.2 release
 Component: Spreadsheet

Problem description: When a comment box in a cell is displayed by moving the
mouse over the cell, the comment box does not disappear completely when the
mouse is moved into another cell. The right hand edge and top edge of the
comment box remain on the screen. Clicking in a cell which displays these
elements of the comment box forces a refresh and removes the remains of the
comment box.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Right click in cell. Select 'Insert comment' (Should really be
Insert/Edit comment!)Type text into comment box.
2. Click outside cell to remove comment box.
3. Mouse over cell and pause to display comment box, then move pointer away

Just an FYI- I cannot replicate this behavior in Linux. When I use LO and
choose a tabloid page size, it shows tabloid in the preview and I can select
tabloid paper size and print just fine to tabloid on any of our printers that
have tabloid paper. Perhaps it is MS-Windows specific (as marked).

I was pointed here by a comment in

related.

I just tried to reproduce this with Version: 4.2.0.1 / Build ID:
7bf567613a536ded11709b952950c9e8f7181a4a (on Windows 7)

This bug should be now avoided since windows installation was changed to
automatically install all parts of LibreOffice (including the Base module,
which is needed for the bibliography database) (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.2#Installer )

I installed 4.2.0.1 over the older version (I think it was 4.1.2.3) and the
base module was not installed (no File->New->Database menu entry, crash was
reproducible). The bug was however resolved after I deinstalled the older
LibreOffice, then reinstalled 4.2.0.1 instead of merely upgrading (Base is then
installed).

For this reason I'm changing the status from NEEDINFO to NEW since imo either
during upgrade setup needs to make sure base is installed even when it wasn't
before or to make this explicit in the documentation.

OTOH, feel free to close this bug if you feel this bug is now resolved for
Windows or you can't reproduce.

The IAccessible2 interface has been implemented as an experimental feature for
LibreOffice 4.2.0 release, and will enable when an AT is set active. Existing
Java Access Bridge (JAB) based AT remains in place as default. The two can be
toggled by use of the Enable experimental features check box.

For builds of master 4.3.0alpha0, the Java Access Bridge based AT for Windows
has been removed in favor of IAccessible2.
