[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78924] UI: Regression: toolbars have different heights
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78924 sergio.calleg...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|UNCONFIRMED Resolution|WORKSFORME |--- --- Comment #3 from sergio.calleg...@gmail.com --- Actually, I am on 4.2.4.2. In the bug report I filled in the first version of LibO in which the bug appeared. Tested with LibO from libreoffice.org to make sure it was not due to ubuntu build. As mentioned, bug appearance depends on the combination of DPI and icon size you use, which is why you may not be able to see it. The point is that LibO 4.1 never showed this issue at any DPI and icon size and does not show the issue when run on the same machine, with the same config. I am making the bug visible with a couple of screenshots. The attached picture is a montage of two screenshots made with the print screen functionality. Montage is done with imagemagick to assure that the images are aligned to the pixel. Montage is then imported into an image editor itself, in order to add a couple of horizontal and vertical red lines that help noticing the skew in the drawing canvas positioning due to the different toolbar height. Specifically, screenshot A is taken with line and filling toolbar, screenshot B after selecting text in order to make the text formatting toolbar substitute the line toolbar and filling. Screenshots A and B are then mounted as A B B This lets both the horizontal and the vertical alignments be checked. Red reference lines are placed around the toolbar and at the edges of the letter 'T' in the drawing canvas. As evident, the text formatting toolbar is two pixels taller than the line and formatting toolbar. As a result, when the text is selected and the text formatting toolbar appears, the text itself jumps down two pixels, when text is deselected, the text jumps back up two pixels. Now, two pixels may seem like nothing. But when you are trying to do precision aliments and you frequently alternate text and non text selections, having the image moving up and down even by two pixels is an issue that makes you go back to LibO 4.1 immediately, regardless of the other advantages that LibO 4.2 may have. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79011] New: EDITING: find all/replace all, results window does not open
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79011 Priority: medium Bug ID: 79011 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: EDITING: find all/replace all, results window does not open Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: gsm...@holdenlandmark.com Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.2.4.2 release Component: Spreadsheet Product: LibreOffice We have a large spreadsheet with multiple tabs that we must search for terms to be used in market studies. In version 4.2.3.3, after selecting all tabs and pressing CTRL-H, we could search the entire spreadsheet for a keyword by pressing Find All. The results would display in a separate window that we could then click on a result and be taken directly to the sheet and cell where the result was located. This made it VERY easy to locate results over multiple tabs and navigate to the specific data. In 4.2.4.2, the results window does not appear. This also occurs in older versions. In 4.2.4.2, the cells in the current sheet matching the search terms are highlighted in blue, but no window of results and it's unclear if the search term was found on any other tabs in the spreadsheet. For now, we are uninstalling 4.2.4.2 and going back to 4.2.3.3. When this feature works, it's EXTREMELY valuable under deadline. Just for fun I opened the xlsx in MS Office 2010. The Centred cells' formatting was preserved. The Bold was lost, even in populated cells. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79017] New: LO Writer first page header on second page, associated forced new page and change of justification of paragraph
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79017 Priority: medium Bug ID: 79017 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: LO Writer first page header on second page, associated forced new page and change of justification of paragraph Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Mac OS X (All) Reporter: florinequ...@googlemail.com Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.1.5.3 release Component: Libreoffice Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 99506 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=99506action=edit In this one I have recorrected the second header but you can see the justification and forced new page Both working from an existing template migrated from MS Word, and in new docs, instead of a first page header and main header, which appear onscreen when first put in, the doc takes the main header out of page 2 and puts in the first page header (subsequent pages have main header). Sometimes this is while working on the document (first session of creating), sometimes when opening a saved document that had apparently saved correctly. Associated with this is sometimes that the paragraph that goes over the page break of the first page is justified left (my default setting is always fully justified), the rest of the text remains fully justified. Sometimes but not always, the doc opens with one or more new pages, e.g. the para after the first page break appears on page 3 and not page 2, sometimes multiple new pages. this happens in docs on A4 size and A5 size pages. I think I have always managed to reset the document long enough to print out a correct version, but it sometimes takes several tries. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Navigate to same directory containing .ods or .odt files. Double Click at such a file. Current behavior: It happens quite often that LibreOffice opens the document, but the Explorer window remains on top of the document. Clicking into visible parts (execpt into the caption bar) of LibreOffice does not bring the LibreOffice in the foreground. Expected behavior: Without any additional action LibreOffice should show the opened document in the foreground. Clicking into the document should bring it to the foreground too. Maybe the two things are related: After the open document has been brought to the foreground at least once, the clicking into the document works as expectet, i.e. brings the document to the foreground. Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: albrecht.muel...@astrail.de Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.2.4.2 release Component: Database Product: LibreOffice Steps to reproduce: Create a new database that refers to some MS Access database. This database should contain a table with a memo-field, i.e. a column where you can enter text which can contain much more than 255 characters. There should be entries containing more than 255 characters. Using the form assistent create a form to access this table. I simply created a form containing all fields of the table. Save the form an open it. Navigate to some record whose memo field contains more than 255 characters. Current behavior: The content of the memo field is truncated to about 255 characters. This seems to depend of the wrap around feature of the control showing the memo field. If no wrap around is selected the content is truncated to less than 255 characters. Seems to be truncated to 255 characters, and then the CR/LF sequences are deleted. Due to the amount of data a memo fields can contain this behavior can cause substantial loss of data! It is especially dangerous as the form seems to detect that the content of the control is not the same as the corresponding content in the table and therefore offers to store the content despite the fact that the user did not change it. The table view shows the full content of the memo field. Therefore the problems seems to be related to the form. Expected behavior: The control should show the complete content of the memo field (more than 255 characters). Current behavior: The hyphenation checkbox seem to have no effect. Words that do not fit into the cell are split at the border of the cell and continued in the next line.
