[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84929] New: Clicking in the footer area on an empty page brings focus/view to the top of the page.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84929 Bug ID: 84929 Summary: Clicking in the footer area on an empty page brings focus/view to the top of the page. Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gabs...@gmail.com When adding a footer to a new Libreoffice Writer document, the focus jumps back to the top of the page. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Libreoffice Writer. 2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the footer area to create a footer. Current outcome: The focus/view will jump straight back to the cursor at the top of the page requiring you to scroll back down to the bottom of the page again. This is only really evident when you create the footer before editing the rest of the document. When you scroll back down to the bottom of the page the footer pop up is visible and you can then create the footer. It is not a massive problem but minor annoyance in certain circumstances as you need to scroll more. Expected outcome: The focus/view should remain on the bottom of the page when clicking on the footer area so you can create the footer and input text etc. Can be noticed in Libreoffice 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4 across Windows and Linux operation systems. I have not tested on MacOSX but I would guess it is present there as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78854 --- Comment #9 from DavidO d.ostrov...@gmx.de --- (In reply to Joel Madero from comment #7) This bibisect was a bit ridiculous so I had to kind of include two crashes in one but they are both reproducible with the original steps. 1. In the first case it crashes right when you try to type in the content box after doing the undo 2. In the other case it crashes after you type and then click out of the box If I don't do this then I hit a series of versions that I have to skip because at one point undo was broken in Presentation and then the bibisect fails. I really suspect they are the same issue despite having crashes in two different spots. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84159 --- Comment #7 from Ilan Tal ilan@gmail.com --- That is an excellent question. Since the document was generated on a Windows machine (not sure what flavor), it is reasonable that another Windows machine would have the same fonts. I tried to look at the ppt file with gedit, but it wouldn't open. I also tried bless but the file was huge and I didn't know what I was looking for. Then Impress gave me the Calibri font.
