[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87300] New: EDITING: Calc crashes after repeated cut-paste operation

2014-12-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87300

Bug ID: 87300
Summary: EDITING: Calc crashes after repeated cut-paste
operation
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.3.4.1 release
  Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Spreadsheet
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: soavemass...@tiscali.it

repeated copy or cut / paste operation with keyboard crashes Calc: have to
close it with windows task manager:

Ctrl+c on one or more cell - move cursor to other cell - Ctrl+v
Ctrl+c on one or more cell - move cursor to other cell - Ctrl+v
Ctrl+c on one or more cell - move cursor to other cell - Ctrl+v
CRASH

sometimes just after the second operation - sometimes after the 3rdf or 4th.
Onlòy way to prevent problem that i have found is to do only 1 copy/paste
operation then hit ESC to release copied cell highlight, go to another cell, do
some editing, and then do another copy/paste operation.

Similar problem submitted some time ago: I was told to delete the libreoffice
directory in /users//appdata/roaming/libreoffice.
The problem seems to disappear for sometime, but pops up again after a few
days. I am experiencing this problem since 3.5.xx release
Now using Release 4.3.4.1 Build ID: bc356b2f991740509f321d70e4512a6a54c5f243

open the saved document in LibreOffice and MS Office 2010 and see the shapes

RTL_TEXTENCODING_MS_1252 instead of RTL_TEXTENCODING_MS_1251 (for Word95

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87123] Impossible to create a form with wizard

I have tested this with
Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: f92183833fa569006602ac7e93c906d2094e0d4d
TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@46-TDF, Branch:master, Time:
2014-12-13_23:36:38
Locale: de_DE

The follwing happend:
I coudl go through all steps of the wizard and wanted to save the form, but
nothing to see in the database. Then I closed the database and saw the designed
form on the LO-desktop. It has been saved in the /tmp-folder. I opend this form
and saw the data of my database. So I switched set the design-mode on and had a
look at the properties of this form. The data-source of the form was defined as
file:///home/.../.../myfile.odb
So the wizard had created an external form for the database and saved this in
the systems temporary folder.

Then I tried the wizard in
Version: 4.4.0.0.beta1+
Build ID: a15a538fb191b1851f366716914822411b583c58

The form will be created by the wizard inside the database, but without setting
the styles for the form (a new bug ...).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84463] EDITING: Wish: make clear which objects are moved in alignment operations

2014-12-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84463

--- Comment #3 from sergio.calleg...@gmail.com ---
It is clear that the issue can be worked around.

For instance, if you have some objects to align, you can
1) Select the one that should not move, lock the position;
2) Select all the objects, do the alignment;
3) Select the one that should not move, unlock the position
(this is needed, otherwise you cannot move the objects as a group preserving
the alignment)

or (often more more easily) you can note down the positions of the objects and
manually align them by writing down the position they should take.

The point is that all this is rather impractical and having a command that
decides in a totally unpredictable way what it will do is highly frustrating to
new users. The show of a new user trying to align stuff on a presentation,
ending up moving the wrong objects, retrying, getting again the same result,
retrying, eventually ending up visually aligning things by hand is something
not to lose.

If you are curious about the impact of this issue, find odp presentations on
the net and just look at the amount of slides where there are objects that look
approximately aligned, but in fact are not.

I can usually access and update this imbedded spreadsheet, but when I go to do
it a second time it does no display or print as a spreadsheet, just a static
picture of a electrical plug along with and Object 1 label at the bottom.
Strange... If I leave it alone until tomorrow (assuming tomorrow is not a

Ok Russian doc contains secret and the Greek one Document text.

The problem is I don't know why chseTables is 0 which has been read in WW8Fib
ctr, see
http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sw/source/filter/ww8/ww8scan.cxx#5178
BTW, I noticed too that WW8Fib ctr, so when reading stream, was a bit different
when writing stream here:
http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sw/source/filter/ww8/ww8scan.cxx#5633
eg: for lid and pnNext, ReadInt16 was used in ctr but Set_UInt16 was
used during writing, but that's another story.

I'm a bit stuck then :-(

rtl_getTextEncodingFromWindowsCharset

I set status to NEW to this enhancement request but I'm against changing this
one.

F11 has always been Styles and Formatting since OOo era and many users use
that a lot.

the fact that other softwares use that for fullscreen is not a good reason to
change the behaviour.

if people wants F11 for fullscreen they can customize their own LO shortcut
lists but I'm against changing the default setup just to match other softwares.

let's hear what the UX team thinks about it.
I'm in favour of a WONTFIX

Thank you m.a.riosv,
unfortunately, it is not optimal if I have 16 columns to force to text, or if I
have many documents to open everyday. Also, there is a risk if a civil servant
opens the file with the default method (or even with a Visual Basic macro),
changes something not related (adds a new column... adds a new line, updates 1
figure...), then saves and exit : the zipcode (postal code) and other codes
(primary key) will be altered in the csv file.
I just tried (default saving prompted when user exit LibreOffice) and here is
the resulting .csv file :
pk,city,zipcode,name,population
1001,L ABERGEMENT CLEMENCIAT,1400,L'Abergement-Clémenciat,780
EOF

Thank you Urmas,
I tried with all those 3 samples and the standard method is not recognizing
code as char(text) but code as number (then truncating zeros on the left) :
pk;city;zipcode;name;
01001;L ABERGEMENT CLEMENCIAT;01400;L'Abergement-Clémenciat;
EOF

pk;city;zipcode;name;
''01001'';L ABERGEMENT CLEMENCIAT;''01400'';L'Abergement-Clémenciat;
EOF

pk;city;zipcode;name;
'01001;L ABERGEMENT CLEMENCIAT;'01400;L'Abergement-Clémenciat;
EOF

@Jan,

OK, sorry this is a hassle for you. You're doing the correct steps to trouble
shoot, including cleanups and attempting to run the /A administrative install
in parallel.

I run these myself on 8.1 so I know the TB and release builds do function on
Windows 8.1--either fully installed or in parallel.

Please check, for the failled runs, are there any additional details in the
error messages, other than the (0xc07b)? Reviewed in the Event Viewer -
Windows Logs, on either Application or System tab.

Then next thing to check, simply activate the built-in Administrator account
and login with it? Done easily from a cmd window run as administrator issue
net user administrator /active:yes. To revert later, rerun with /active:no,
but if you are going to leave it active set a password.

Doing that, will the earlier /A administrative installs run with that
privileged account?

Stuart

content of the cells is text or numbers, no images

I did not install any extensions (at the moment only extensions installed are
the standard ones installed by libreoffice installer)

The problem seems not to happen on a brand new file: Could be that the problem
is related to using a file originally created by a very old version? I am not
certain but I think that the file on which I am experiencing this problem more
often was created with openoffice 2.x

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79249] #N/A value is shown as ={nan} in formular bar and Err:512 as cell value

2014-12-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79249

--- Comment #5 from Markus Mohrhard markus.mohrh...@googlemail.com ---
(In reply to Kevin Suo from comment #0)
 Created attachment 99844 [details]
test xlsx file with #N/A value

 Problem description:

The attached xlsx file has #N/A value in cell A1:A4. The file was created
by MSO 2010. The N/A value was generated by VLOOKUP function and pasted
special only values (thus there should be no formular in any of the cells)

When open in Calc, it shows value Err:512 rather than N/A, while in the
 formular bar it shows ={nan}.

 Steps:
 1. Just open the attached xlsx file in LibreOffice.

 Current Behaviour:
It is showing Err:512 in A1:A4, and ={nan} in formular bar.

 Expected:
It should show #N/A in A1:A4; there is no formular in the cells, so it
should show #N/A in the formular bar.

OS: reproducible in windows xp, ubuntu 13.04 lts, and Fedora 20. So: ALL.
 LibreOffice: 4.2.4.2.
Still reproducible in 4.3 beta 1.

That file contains error cells which are not available in calc therefore we
translate them to formulas. This is the closest that we can do.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87070] 4.3 releases do not launch after install on Win 8.1 x64 - soffice.exe application error (0xc000007b)

2014-12-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87070

--- Comment #12 from Jan Krumrey m...@jankrumrey.de ---
I also activated the built-in administrator account and logged in with it, but
I still get the (0xc07b) application error popup when I try to run
soffice.exe of the parallel 4.3.4.1 install.

Thanks again for your help.

fixed after so many complaints.

I will have to fork out for Excel then.

Miklos,
I have manually bisected this regression down to

svx: fix VML export of rectangles imported from drawingML

The commit before that, 71aa91ab7e16be70ed9abd0959f8f18d35439acc was GOOD.
Could you please look into why gradient boxes are not displaying in slideshow
mode now? Note the regression that caused the smooth gradient to be stripped in
norm view has been fixed in recent builds.

Thanks for everything!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87070] 4.3 releases do not launch after install on Win 8.1 x64 - soffice.exe application error (0xc000007b)

2014-12-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87070

--- Comment #13 from V Stuart Foote vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu ---
@Jan,

OK. So we know the issue is not permissions.

This is a 64-bit Windows 8.1 install, with 1031 de-DE localization.

Also, the NTDLL.DLL being called is the 64-bit one in C:\Windows\system32,
rather than the 32-bit from C:\Windows\SysWOW64, that seems odd--but it could
be normal for language support.

Do you have a NLSPATH variable set? You would check from command window with
set, or env commands.

Also, the builds you show in the error for the NTDLL.DLL are more current than
I have patched at the moment.

Ntdll.dll 6.3.9600.17476 1,733,952 30-Oct-14 5:41 x64
Ntdll.dll 6.3.9600.17476 1,499,384 30-Oct-14 5:47 x86

I am working with the NDLL.DLL version 6.3.9600.17278 from 15-Aug-2014,
unfortunately I can not update them remotely so will have to wait until I get
in to work tomorrow to run http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3013769 updates and
will test again to see if that somehow is causing the problems.

Stuart
