Okay I renamed the user folder and couldn't reproduce the bug either.

Seems like this solved my problem.

Is there anything I can do to help additionally?
Does it make sense to look further into the matter for corrupted files,
or is this already patched?
Can this problem happen again and corrupt the now new user folder as well
after some time?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 80960] EDITING Opening file doesn't place cursor on last position of saving (see comment 30 and comment 42)

2015-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80960

Please test with these sample documents

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=112456
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=113167

With builds of Master after c99e634e06aa97d9230d9200206e9c2e8e373ed0
(2015-01-28) any existing document opened on 32-bit builds must be opened and
edited to reestablish valid Edit View ViewTop and ViewLeft values.

When properly cast values are present, the +F5 Restore Edit View
shortcut will position the document cursor near to the last edited/saved
position for the document.

If User Data has been recorded to the user profile, on reopening with build of
master later than 2015-01-28, the document should open with cursor positioned
near the last edited character.

Note: the new Edit View settings for these documents will not be backward
compatible for 4.4 or earlier builds. Simply reopen and edit them in older
32-bit builds to reestablish the int based Edit View values--of limited
utility.

Yes, Shift+F5 "Restore Edit View" is "Mostly" fixed now for the 32-bit builds.
It and the 64-bit builds still have some cursor placement issues.

Bisect range... 2015-01-27..2015-01-31

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/log/?qt=range&q=d1c9bd13ec7af93f5368dfda6d6d3c955f0b0816..4b9a9ce8a0e5e0716dad9a9ec87d16237e534dc2

"Mostly" in that the exact cursor position on moving the edit view seems to
drift away from the last position edited.

@Kendy, Maxim -- does the math for the convertTwipToMm100 for ViewTop and
ViewLeft need to be refined to more precisely place the cursor?

Resolved fixed on 32-bit builds for 4.5.0

Bisect result...
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/log/?qt=range&q=d1c9bd13ec7af93f5368dfda6d6d3c955f0b0816..4b9a9ce8a0e5e0716dad9a9ec87d16237e534dc2

Kendy's blind patch got it...

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=c99e634e06aa97d9230d9200206e9c2e8e373ed0

But, this is not perfect as the convertTwipToMm100 of ViewTop and ViewLeft is
misplacing the cursor by as much as a dozen characters. 4.3 may be a lost
cause, but need a backport to 4.4

Folks should test a current 32-bit master with complete user data
(first/last/initials) as well as verifying that +F5 gets the Edit View
cursor close to last position.

Closing this--but leaving bug 82300 open to refine cursor placement.

File with draw:nav-order and draw:z-index

On layer Layout are the objects 'red', 'blue', 'yellow', on layer Layer4 is
object 'magenta', and on layer Controls is object 'green'.

To see the settings in the file unpack it and look into the content.xml.

Using the tab key, you should get the order: red blue green yellow magenta. The
tab key order is given by the attribute draw:nav-order, which is an attribute
of the page.

The rendering order from back to front is given by the attribute draw:z-index
of the individual drawing objects. This attribute will be removed, when saving
by LibreOffice or Apache OpenOffice.

The z-order stack should be according to ODF: (back) blue yellow magenta green
red (front)
But because of the special handling of Controls-layer you will get: (back) blue
yellow magenta red green (front)

2015-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82300

On Windows 7 sp1, 64-bit en-US with these test documents

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=112456
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=113167

Confirm Shift+F5 is not functioning with

Version: 4.4.2.2
Build ID: c4c7d32d0d49397cad38d62472b0bc8acff48dd6
Locale: en_US

but it does work correctly same system with

Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 3c6fd5a59b08cec8705a31d17a60204acf6b7173
TinderBox: Win-x86@62-TDF, Branch:MASTER, Time: 2015-03-29_02:04:01
Locale: en_US

Note the same behavior, i.e. 4.4.2.2 broken, 4.5.0.0alpha0+ works, with these
32-bit builds for issue of opening to last edited position when user data
details (first/last/initials) are filled in, bug 80960

Have to bisect a bit but suspect Kendy's commit for bug 80960

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=c99e634e06aa97d9230d9200206e9c2e8e373ed0

did some good here.

Also, for 64-bit Windows builds on same system Shift+F5 function is mostly
correct--except for issues of bug 51217 bug 62398, where the cursor placement
can be off by a dozen characters.

Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: 48916c9b8c1363a37bf511626326ee6dc150975c
TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2015-03-17_22:56:52

and with (first/last/initials set) it opens vicinity of last edited position.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81561] SVG: Text dropped when exporting embedded spreadsheet as svg from Draw

2015-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81561

I see nothing in browser Seamonkey on Windows 7. The reason for seeing nothing
is the use of clip-path.

The text is missing because the text has no explicit x= attribute. The default
x="0" is out of the viewing box.

Besides that:
Attributes x and y are not valid in tspan, although browsers might interpret
them.
Without an explicit x attribute for each cell content, the cell contents will
be rendered one after the other without space.
The element tspan is only allowed as child of element text, element textArea,
or element tspan, but not of element g. But browsers are fault-tolerant and
will render such anyway.

Crash data from the MAC

If I try to add a function to this data base as part of the
Query_FamilyDebitCreditBalanceReport using either and or if, Libre Office
either crashes or goes into an infinite loop. I am attaching the data base and
the crash data.

It occurs if I use either the Navigator or the field itself and start defining
a function. I type "if" after the "=". Then I type "(" and it crashes. The
same thing happens if I double click IF in the function listing or type "and".
It happens every time.

Though i didnt explicitly mention it, but thought it would be understood with
the 'drag and drop of an object/group to change the layer arrangement' in point
1 and the 'Move Top, Move Up, Move Down, Move Bottom' mentioned in point 4.

8) Object Order - Objects in the tree list will be sorted based on their
arrangement position in the document.

(In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #9)

Tried saving to fodg and there wasnt any "draw:nav-order" or "draw:z-index"
entries.

Would have to disagree, as most people would never easily discover shift-click
(me included).

> Such easy access would be necessary for the Navigator too.

I had mentioned easy access to it with "as well as visible and locked buttons
in the control."

> I do not know, whether users would like it, if the layer tabs are removed.
> I'm used to them over more than 15 years now, and want them to be kept.

I dont believe they need to be removed, but think they should be hidden by
default (bug 90320).

(In reply to Tomaz Vajngerl from comment #10)
> Layers are part of z-order (or they at least should be), so this should not
> be possible (if we want to show the z-order in navigator). "Layout" layer
> objects are always below "Controls" layer objects.

I was using the "Controls" layer as an example, but see that "Controls" always
comes above all other layers, but this behaviour is available in other layers
as shown in the attached sample odg.

Thanks for the info, I will add the markups :-)

Also, I discovered that when saving the .FODT file with the linked image as
.ODT, the linked image is saved inside the file, i.e., my .FODT document with a
.SVG linked image (on some places of the document) was saved as .ODT and, upon
inspecting it with 7-Zip, I found random numbered .PNG images embedded.

Excluding those .PNG images with 7-Zip and reopening with LibreOffice didn't
show major issues, not even an error before opening, but the .PNG images were
recreated from the linked .SVG and embedded on the document. Don't know if its
a related bug, thoug. Should I create another one for this issue?

2015-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 90382
Summary: Regression in libreoffice 4.3.6.1 on sending document

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.3.6.1 rc

Using an update of LibreOffice in Mageia 4 (going from 4.1.6.2, last working,
to 4.3.6.1 - as well as some versions in betweenas 4.2.0.4) there is a
regression on the feature to send an email from libreoffice by clicking on the
appropriate button. I'm configured to send using thunderbird (with the -compose
option) which used to work.

Now when clicking on the button, a thunderbird new mail opens but the To: field
is loaded with // and no attachment is made.

While it's looking like the Bug
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75825 the solution
mentioned in this BR
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75825#c13 doesn't work for
me.

I opened first that bug in Mageia as
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15340 but it was given to me the advise
to report it here.

IMHO it WRITER could do better: show up a warning to the user, signaling the
problem and let the user be aware.
i.e., do not be silent, talk to the user: he/she is not a stupid beeing ;)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90072] No character background (highlight) tab in paragraph styles dialog

2015-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90072

Interesting. Just my 2 bits from a non-developer, end-user perspective:

1) For sanity, I totally support character backgrounds being rechristened
"highlighting" in all instances.

2) Now that Bug 82661 has been resolved, I'd much prefer to use area fills for
the particular use case I mention in Comment 1, but paragraph area fills can't
serve my needs because they become hidden behind images and other area-filled
frames -- even if those images and area-filled frames are set to "wrap through"
+ "in background". Hence I presently depend on character highlighting being
available in paragraph styles. If the area fills being hidden behind other
objects in this way isn't the intended behaviour please point me to an existing
bug report (I couldn't find one), else I'll happily start my own.

LibreOffice 4.4.1.2 in i3 on Slackware current - when selecting color picker
for fonts and highlighting in Writer, Calc, Impress, Base, and Draw (line color
selection but not area color - that drop down menu works OK) a floating menu
window opens which immediately closes. In i3 config I set libreoffice as
default floating and problem persists. In KDE 5 on the same Slackware install
there is not this problem. I cannot provide a screenshot as it happens very
quickly.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90351] CMIS: crashes with "index out of range!" when saving a document

2015-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Cédric/Cao: I'm a bit stuck because I don't know if the problem is this:
string baseTypeReq =
"//atom:entry[1]//cmis:propertyId[@propertyDefinitionId='cmis:baseTypeId']/cmis:value/text()";

or if we just don't manage a specific answer (BTW, I don't know how to read it)
from the server or something else.

Just to be sure, are you still both working on libcmis or should I cc someone
else?

Hi Robinson :)

actually I used your presentation template for LibO 2014 Bern conference (this
one here:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/File:Sample-Impress-Template_Bern2014_rtryon.odp
).

I can make master build of LibO and stock Fedora 21 LibO 4.3.2 crash
reproducibly inserting slides from that file into Draw. I didn't try all
possible combos, but e.g. a slide titled 'Shapes' crashes always.

MAB 4.3 is fine - it was added to 4.4 also (we don't put things on two MAB
lists) it was also raised to "critical" which this is not at all
criticalit's stretching even "major" to the limits of the objective
priority.

So 4.3 mab is where it belongs, major - highest is good enough :) Thanks for
checking Cor :-D

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90380] New: VIEWING: Navigator causes constant cpu usage when it does not have focus in documents with lots of text frames and images

2015-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90380

Bug ID: 90380
Summary: VIEWING: Navigator causes constant cpu usage when it
does not have focus in documents with lots of text
frames and images
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4.1.2 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: gordon1dr...@yahoo.com

Using this document as an example:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/2/2f/WG42-WriterGuideLO.odt

Independent Navigator (not in Sidebar, but docked on left):
1. Open Task Manager or Resource Monitor.
2. Open document.
3. Open Navigator.
Note:
There is an initial spike of 25% while the document is loading.
4. Expand Text frames and Images in Navigator.
5. Place cursor in document.
Result:
Cpu usage is 15%. Scrolling through the document is slow.
6. Click on something in the Navigator.
Result:
Cpu usage drops to anywhere from 1% to 3%.
7. New Text Document or switch to a different application.
Result:
Cpu usage jumps back up to 15%.

Navigator in Sidebar:
8. Hide Sidebar.
9. Place cursor in document.
Result:
Cpu usage is 15%.

Once Text frames and Images have been expanded, collapsing them does not drop
the cpu usage when the cursor is in the document. If you collapse these
objects then close and reopen the Navigator, then the cpu usage remains low.
Hiding the Navigator in the Sidebar is not the same as closing it and still
results in constant cpu usage.

Not sure if the problem is in the lang packs. Indeed all dialogs available in
Pootle have been translated in French and this dialog is not translated. Does
that mean that the strings in this dialog are not translatable?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90379] New: Inconsistent state database after failed column type change

2015-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90379

Bug ID: 90379
Summary: Inconsistent state database after failed column type
change
   Product: Document Liberation Project
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: General
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: germano.massu...@gmail.com

I created a table, with some columns and a Date type column called "Date".
I added some data inside with some dates type under column "Date".
I tried to change:
- "Date" type to small integer
- "Date" name to "Anno"
and save the table Libreoffice asked if I wanted it to automatically erase and
create a new column. I clicked Yes. Obviously Libreoffice failed and I aborted
the change. When I entered back again into the table to see data inside, I saw
that the column name changed to "Anno", but there was still a date type data
inside.
When I tried to change data inside "Anno" column, Libreoffice said that "Date"
column does not exist.
Trying to modify table structure, returned me a column named "Date" with date
type. Instead going back into the table to see data inside, returned me a
column named "Anno"
Trying to remove the column from table structure returned many error codes.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90156] MacOs LO fails to launch with master sources

2015-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90156

I haven't spoken about it on dev mailing list since few people use MacOs +
debug. (same reason about IRC)
About the daily build, is it a debug build? Indeed, I use debug build and I
don't see config file on this daily.

About building with recent sources, I gave it a try about a week ago.
I give a new try from scratch tomorrow.

Finally, I mainly work on Linux with master sources + debug mode but since I've
got a Mac, I'm trying to contribute on some MacOs only bugs when I've got time.
In brief, it's not urgent for me :-)

I'll put it back to UNCONFIRMED (or perhaps RESOLVED/WFM!) once I'll got
results from new build.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90378] New: Header and footer background bitmap images are not saved

2015-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90378

Bug ID: 90378
Summary: Header and footer background bitmap images are not
saved
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4.1.2 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: max+freedesk...@mxcrypt.com

I had an odf file, which was created with LibreOffice Writer 4.2, that used a
png image for the header background. The image was still there when opened with
LibreOffice 4.4.1.2. However, after saving and re-opening the file, the image
is gone. I also noticed that the file size is about half the original and can
no longer be opened with 7-Zip as an archive, so I'm guessing that there were
some significant changes to the save code in 4.3 or 4.4 that introduced this
bug.

To reproduce:

1. Create a new document with Writer 4.4.1.2
2. Insert -> Header -> Default Style
3. Header -> Format Header... -> More...
4. Area -> Fill with 'Bitmap'
5. Import Graphic... -> Select some png file
6. Uncheck 'Tile' and 'AutoFit'
7. OK -> OK
8. Save as a new file and close Writer
9. Open the saved file, the image is no longer there

Only tested on Windows 8.1, but I'm guessing that it would affect all other
OSes as well.

Have you upgraded to LO 4.4 as suggested? That's the best way for you to help
us confirm that the bug is still present in modern releases.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90377] New: MAILMERGE: Option to "Exclude this Recipient" broken

2015-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90377

Bug ID: 90377
Summary: MAILMERGE: Option to "Exclude this Recipient" broken
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4.1.2 rc
  Hardware: Other
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: p...@writerhouse.org

In past releases, we have used Mailmerge heavily, and rely on the ability to
exclude recipients on the fly. This is suddenly broken, which is causing a big
problem.

Our data source is a query from a LibreOffice Database using a JDBC connection
to MySQL.

Symptom: When we page through the document and click the checkbox for "Exclude
this Recipient," the box is checked, but a letter is generated for that person
anyway, even though the "Exclude" box is checked.

I have attached two documents. The second one had a little more added to one
of the headers.

You can see all the text in the table by doing Table -> Table Properties ->
Text Flow -> uncheck Repeat Heading.

@Diego: So to rephrase, LO should recognise large amounts of text in table
headings, or multiple table headings with a combined large amount of text, and
disable repeat headings.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 80768] Cell ranges with the same Conditional Formatting should be consolidated to 1 range.

2015-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80768

not yet resolved until today.

When we set a conditional formatting suck like "B2:B200 value >2500", then if
I edit more steps such like drag to fill some cells...etc, or others...
then my conditional formatting will change to be something like this:
B2>2500
B13:B16 >2500
B64:B66;B59:B61 >2500
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...

more steps editted, more formatting will appear automatically, and finally the
unconditional formatting editor appears in a big mess.
I thought although the uncdonditional formatting editor now is very dificult to
see in order, but cells´ value in the workshee of calc are still correct. So I
just let it be.

However disaster comes soon, one day I just find the worksheet goes very very
very slowly and crashs till I can not use it any more. I think maybe it´s
caused by the mess of unconditional formatting. So I start to organize hundreds
of unconditional formattings that produced by calc automatically, now it´s only
this one again in my unconditonal formatting editor like "B2:B200
value>2500", and this worksheet comes back to go fast again.

My libreoffice Version is 4.4.1.2. I hope this bug could be fixed as soon as
possible. Best wishs!

Added bug 75665 - regression + serious hang

Calc spreadsheets hang when there is long multi-line text in cells. Kohei did
some work on it and added a calgrind along with some code pointers some time
ago - thought it was fixed but apparently people are still seeing the issue.

(This is an automated message.)

LibreOffice development currently prioritizes bugs with the so
called MAB (most annoying bugs). As this bug has not run
through that process (including writing a short rationale for
this bug being a candidate and other who are watching the
tracker bug silently approving that rationale etc), its priority
is set to high. Note this is effectively no change in the
urgency assigned to this bug, as we are currently not making a
difference between high and highest and severity is untouched.

You can find out more about MABs and how the process works by
contacting the QA Team on IRC:

http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa

The QA wiki page also gives you hints on how to get in contact
with the team (if IRC fails you, your next best choice is the
mailing list):
