But it goes back when LO is restarted after a crash (ctrl+C in the terminal from which I launched LO is enough). In such a case, I found that I can fix the problem by modifying the registrymodifications.xcu file. GtkScrollbar ::slider-width = 6 The problem is that this value is used for programs such as Libreoffice Calc (Versión: 4.2.8.2, the one available in the repositories) to define the height of the tabs used for the different sheets. Such a small value makes almost impossible to read the name of the tabs. I have manually updated this value to 15 (a reasonable value for my system) to: GtkScrollbar ::slider-width = 15 The way in which the scrollbar height is rendered may be changed to make the text readable. When the mouse cursor reaches the middle/top of the formula bar, it jumps down to the spreadsheet again. Notes - The mouse moves up just fine when moved *around* the Formula Bar (i.e. outside the LibreOffice window.) - Moving the mouse quickly often allows it to jump over the Formula Bar. - Hiding and re-showing the Formula Bar seems to cure the problem. I made tests, but it's not easy for me to analyse, because I don't know anything about Libreoffice's programming. Sometime, the right-clicking-menu's has an encoding bug : - with all gtk*'s VLC Toolkit ; - with kde's VCL Toolkit and some particular fonts (ex. : Liberation Serif). Sometime, the corrected text has an encoding a bug : - with gen's, gtk3's, & kde4's VCL Toolkit ; - with some particular fonts (ex. : Liberation Serif) with gtk's & gtk2's VCL Toolkit. Only one configuration works perfectly for my tests : kde VCL Toolkit using Ubuntu font (other fonts may work, but I can't test all cases...). gen's VCL Toolkit' right-clicking menu is well encoded in all cases. kde's corrected text is well encoded in all cases. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92545 Gordo changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #1 from Gordo --- Reproducible. I had to choose what word to correct to and I chose "that". If the last word in the group of misspelled words is at the end of a paragraph then it is ignored. With "tha tha tha tha tha test", all of "tha" are correctly changed. With "tha tha tha tha tha test tha", the last "tha" is ignored. Two paragraphs of "tha tha tha tha tha test tha" results in only the last word in the first paragraph being ignored. To rule out this being just a problem with the first line of the document: "This is a test" "tha tha tha tha tha test tha" "tha tha tha tha tha test tha" Result: "tha" at the end of the second paragraph is ignored. Here is an occurence with the first word of the group in a paragraph before: "This is tha test" "tha tha tha tha tha test tha" "tha tha tha tha tha test tha" Result: Every "tha" is corrected. Environment details: Windows 8.1, Java not installed, using default mitigation settings in MS EMET for swriter.exe etc. Files are all stored locally, not on network. LibreOffice versions: Both v. 4.4.4.3 and v. 4.4.3.2 Reproducing issue: 1.1 Open a Writer, Calc or other document. OR 1.2 Open the application directly, creating a new default document. 2. Click on the menu bar, e.g. File or Help. 3. Observe that the application freezes for ~30 seconds the first time this is done.
