There are various text encodings suitable for Turkish, so you need to be more
precise in which exact encoding the data is in.  Presumably it is either the
global UTF-8, or the Turkish-specific ISO 8859-9 or its close cousin
Windows-1254.  According to comment 26, the corresponding value in the
--infilter=CSV:44,34,... argument (instead of "UTF8") should be any of

  76

for UTF-8 (i.e., RTL_TEXTENCODING_UTF8),

  20

for ISO 8859-9 (i.e., RTL_TEXTENCODING_ISO_8859_9),

The original file was a MS office 2003 spreadsheet that was converted to Libera
calc file in 2012 - don't know what version was being used at that time.  The
font used in the MS office file was MS sans serif 8. As stated in comment 3, I
have a Win 10 desktop with Libera Office 4.2.6.3 which displays all the
comments in the file. In 4.2.6.3 it shows the font as MS Sans Serif 8, but the
font list does not include MS Sans Serif.  The list does have MS Reference Sans
Serif which is not in the 5.0.1.2 list.  In 5.0.1.2 I noticed the blank
comments are MS Sans Serif 8 and the readable comments are Tahoma 8. I can't
edit the blank comment and change the their font size or change their font. I
can delete the comment and insert a new comment,and by changing the font to
arial (a listed font) before typing, then a comment can be typed and displayed.
I see this as my work around - using 4.2.6.3 to recover the information in the
blank comments and then re-inserting them in 5.0.1.2 in a different font.
As stated in comment 3 the comments displayed correctly in 4.3.7.2 and the MS
Sans Serif comments displayed as blanks after updating to 4.4.5.2 and 5.0.1.2.

I have a doubt. 
The bug report is for the Tools -> Options -> Language Settings -> English
sentence checking. We could open a report foreach affected menu or we need to
reopen this one. Let me know the right workflow.

Not sure whether this should be classified as an enhancement or a bug (AOO bug
tracker has it as enhancement as well), but in my book it would be a bug, as
when you set the background/area of a shape or frame, it fills the entire shape
and not just the space that text can be written in. We are setting the page
background/area and not the margin background/area, but this might be a
limitation of the ODT format, as calligra opens it in a similar fashion.

But this issue causes compatibility/interoperability problems when importing
and exporting documents from other formats (e.g. docx), where the page
background fills the entire page.

A somewhat plausible workaround for this is to set the page margins to 0.00"
and then enable borders and set spacing to contents to 0.79", though the border
will still be present. :)

This is probably to keep section id's uniqueness inside the file.

But we loose the "To access this command" sections, except the first
occurrence.

Manually naming id's as "howtoget" in the xhp file does work and the "To access
this command..." sections are displayed.

=-x^y is calculated as (-x)^y whereas it should be -(x^y)

Eg. -7^2 = -49 but is displayed as +49.

This may be the result intended by a user entering such a formula, but it is
inaccurate - a calculator and Google both give the correct result of -49.

FYI gnumeric also displays +49 as the result but changes the formula in the
background to =(-7)^2

ScAsciiOptions::ReadFromString (sc/source/ui/dbgui/asciiopt.cxx) calling
ScGlobal::GetCharsetValue (sc/source/core/data/global.cxx), this charset field
would be interpreted as follows:

* if it is numeric, interpret it as the corresponding RTL_TEXTENCODING_* from
include/rtl/textenc.h;

* it it is one of the (case-ignoring) legacy strings ANSI, MAC, IBMPC,
IBMPC_437, IBMPC_850, IBMPC_850, IBMPC_860, IBMPC_861, IBMPC_863, IBMPC_865,
interpret it as the corresponding RTL_TEXTENCODING_*;

* otherwise, fall back to the "system encoding" (osl_getThreadTextEncoding;
which is typically UTF-8 at least on Linux and Mac, so an input of "UTF8" often
will result in causing the CSV filter to interpret the input as UTF-8 "by
accident").

what you think is bogus...

LibO can detect first line as label if:
- ALL cells in first line contain TEXT and NO value (date, number...)
- NO empty cell in first line
- sorting range is delimited by empty columns

Current behavior:
Text that is flipped horizontally or vertically is not correct.  The letters
are not mirrored.

Expected behavior:
Flipping text horizontally should cause each letter to be reversed
left-to-right, and those reversed letters should be printed right-to-left. 
Flipping text vertically should cause each letter to be inverted top-to-bottom,
and those inverted letters should be printed left-to-right.  In either case the
letters should be mirror-images of ordinary printed letters.

Please note, however, that I disagree with Bug 35913 reporter's position that
the text should always be readable (e.g., left-to-right for English).  I think
that flipping, which is mirror-imaging, should operate on text the same as it
does on shapes.  After all, the person performing the operation may wish to
treat the text characters as shapes and flip them.

Starting with an old presentation (from an old version - 4.2.1)

I have an image container on the screen,
I duplicate the slide 15ish times, then on the image container on the slide -
change the graphic.

when in presentation mode - the graphic jumps 1px - not on all systems, but if
it happens, on a system - it happens every time - so as I flick through the
slide show, one of my slides is 1px off. the exact same file on a system right
next to it - is completely fine. 

I am not crazy - i have 15 users all reporting the same thing.

any ideas?

I think this is a terrible idea. Libreoffice's headline is is "Moved by freedom
-- powered by standards". "Standards" in this case means usage of ODF.
Introduction of a new proprietary format goes directly against that. (I could
also mention that such a filter would be a big chunk of code that we'd be
struck with supporting ~forever.)

Fonts in the Visio object from the attachment are unclear.
Fonts were previewed fine up to LO 3.5.7.

Setting the printer at the model seems to be the wrong way. The model used here
is later replaced by the one loaded from 
oMailMerge.DocumentURL = ConvertToUrl("D:\APPROACH\test.odt")

There's a property "PrintOptions" at the mail merge service to achieve the
expected result.

Instead of 
oMailMerge.Model.setPrinter(myPrinter)
it should be 
oMailMerge.PrintOptions = myPrinter

Additional testing  shows that labels are exported when the labels' text
orientation is set to 90, 180, or 270 Degrees. The text is not exported when
the degrees are somewhere in between.

The default behaviour is also strange. X axis labels are angled at 45 degrees
but the Text Orientation setting remains at 0 Degrees. It is therefore
impossible to have vertically oriented X axis labels by manipulating just the
Text Orientation setting.

But we are not the upstream of liblangtag. So it is irrelevant if printing
these messages is a bug or not: it is not OUR bug.

Maybe. Disable all warnings in liblangtag (and there might be some that have
actually some importance), if it is possible. Or patch these concrete ones out,

yes I am sure the path to the template is correct.

The point is, that a document created in LO 4.0.5 does not get the "Update
styles" message, when I change the (imported from 4.0.5)template in LO5.

Documents newly created in LO5 and based on the template do link to the
template-styles, I have seen that.

If I make small changes to a document (like inserting a page-break) and do just
a Save, the green save progress bar goes to the end, and the Writer exits
directly. The .~loc... is not deleted, so I have to recover the document to
make another editing - and I can see that the last change was not written to
the file.

Setting X axis label angle to 90 degrees works around the problem - axis labels

It's unlikely that any bugs of type "multiple problems/bad rendering", will be
fixed.
Each issue (section break, paragraph break, text box, picture/WMF/EMF...)
should be reported separately, after a search for already reported bugs.
I was wrong to change this bug, so I correct that by closing this one as WFM
for the original "some images not visible" and opening a new Bug for fonts
problem.

Tested it in the earliest version I could find. The feature was introduced in
Version 4.4. The bug was present in version: 4.4.5.2
I also tested earlier versions (4.3.5.2). I could reproduce the behaviour when
I deleted an image with auto-captions drag a new one in.

The help authoring tool menu entry "Insert Extended tip" asks if the ET is
hidden or not.

If the ET is not hidden, the dialog does not ask for the path.

To insert the path of the ET, one must edit the field just inserted.

So: implement a dialog to get the ET path when creating it.

calc document with chart

Exporting chart to raster formats (PNG, GIF, JPEG and others) renders rotated X
axis labels.

Exporting chart to SVG vector format does not export, let alone render rotated
X axis labels, i.e. the labels do not even appear in the exported SVG file.

My system is Fedora 22 with LO 4.4.5.2-5.fc22.x86_64.

Reproduced also by vilpan from #libreoffice on version Debian GNU/Linux 7.9, LO
5.0.0.5 Build ID: 437e4abdf9e72fd0a6e6f8697a0e659bc77f9b10 (from TDF, not
distro-provided)

Please check attached ods document and exported graphics.

document created and updated styles in LO4.0.5

If I change the (previously attached) template in LO5, to which this document
was linked when created in LO4.0.5, and when this document is opened in LO5, I
do not get the "updated styles" dialog.

Docx file is set to open in Web Layout in MS Office and can't be changed to
Print Layout at all. 
It opens (as Portrait) in Print Layout in LO 4.2 which is obviously wrong, but
it can be changed to Landscape.
