Its value is '1' and the customization settings made in the UI stage are being "disallowed". Not clear if this is UAC, or an aspect of the system being on AD with Domain GPOs applied. Is this box getting GPO? In any case, some indications browsing web of an interplay of UAC when 'AlwaysInstallElevated' is active--*requires* the "public" properties set in the UI section to be present in the MSI -> "Property" table in the "SecureCustomProperties" property stanzas. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94193 --- Comment #6 from sebalis --- I'm not quite sure what you are saying. You are clearly aware that my original report is about me using the "Change" button to change the install location. Are then suspecting that somehow, just before installing, the value had reverted to its default? That would be a bug in itself, but I can assure you (as an experienced user of GUIs and indeed a software developer myself) that I've observed this behaviour several times and made sure that the GUI promised it would install in C:\Program Folders\LibreOffice but then the version number (4 or 5) was added anyway. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94195 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu Resolution|--- |INVALID --- Comment #1 from V Stuart Foote --- Not sure why you would have beleived 3015_eps.zip is a valid LibreOffice/OpenOffice extension? Rather, it is a collection of Encapsulated Postscript images that default Windows installations in general have no effective means of rendering. The Extension manager happily copies it to a folder in the user profile, and unzips the images into a temporary folder. C:\Users\oofda\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user\extensions\tmp\extensions to remove simply delete it and restart LibreOffice. Past attempt to remove the invalid extension will be written to a log.txt file in C:\Users\oofda\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user\uno_packages\cache The log can be ignored, or just reset your user profile by deletion. =-=-= If for some reason, you do want to use the vector icons from 3015_eps.zip you will need to first extract them all from the Zip file into a folder. Then add them as a New Theme in the Gallery. When the Properties dialog opens--name the theme on the General tab, and from the Files tab "Find files" and navigate to the folder where the EPS are unzipped. Use the "Add all" to complete addition of the new items to the Gallery. A couple of points--the EPS from this set all have low resolution TIFF "previews" that LibreOffice will use. Not very appealing, and you have to remove the preview to make LibreOffice render the image at higher quality--but as mentioned Windows does not have the "helper" programs needed for handling the EPS. In a practical sense, what that means is that you probably want to convert the EPS to another image format *external* to LibreOfiice. A conversion to PNG would work well enough for most folks. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94193] Installer ignores at least some options in Custom mode, such as changes to the target directory
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94193 --- Comment #5 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to sebalis from comment #4) > ... But > what I'd really like to know is how we could analyse the initial behaviour > that happens when I just double-click the MSI. If you open the .msi package with Microsoft's ORCA MSI package editor you'll see that the settings for INSTALLLOCATION are bound to ProgramFiles64Folder--which otherwise takes its value from TARGETDIR--and its value becomes "LibreOffice 5" resulting in a default for INSTALLLOCATION of "C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 5" When running the default GUI install, i.e. double clicking the .msi (as opposed to running CLI with msiexec.exe and variables) the installer uses the defaults from the .msi package. Resulting in "C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 5" showing at the "Install to:" stanza of a Custom installation. With the GUI, the "Change" button can be manipulated immediately, or use the back button to return to it after making selections for Optional components, or Additional languages. Either way before proceeding, double check that the "Install to:" value shows the custom location you prefer. It is that string that gets written to the installation as the transform INSTALLLOCATION value. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93574] Autosaving or regular saving change focus from the current page
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93574 --- Comment #4 from Ljiljan --- I think this conversation is going into wrong direction. I believe volunteer are contributing to LibreOffice not for themself, but for wider audience (including me). Their purpose is not to serve me or anyone, but still they want to create free software using their specific knowledge and our FEEDBACK. This bug affects me as well. I will survive somehow, but people switching from other offices judge LO by such (very obvious) processes. It's a shame to fail at such simple test (such as saving document and losing focus of current page). This bug is trivial and very annoying for anyone actively using LibreOffice. Higher priority should be given to it. Otherwise, this trivial bug will be ignored (it's minor, why should we fix it?) and users will eventually create image of LO not being capable to deliver most simple processes without making mistake. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94196] New: FILESAVE, FILEOPEN: .xlsx: TRANSPOSE formula is corrupted after saving and reopening file.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94196 Bug ID: 94196 Summary: FILESAVE, FILEOPEN: .xlsx: TRANSPOSE formula is corrupted after saving and reopening file. Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.4.5.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: im.dep...@gmail.com Created attachment 118678 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=118678&action=edit Test file with TRANSPOSE() example Hello, I've found a bug with the TRANSPOSE function in Calc for the .xlsx file (with .ods this bug is not present). I've attached the file "Test_TRANSPOSE.ods". You can see the original array D2:H2 and transposed array B4:B8. Let's try to save this file to .xsls, close the file, and then open .xlsx file again. At first sight, the transposed array is in place, with the correct values. But look at the formulas in the cells B4:B8 : Must be: "{=TRANSPOSE(D2:H2)}" for all cells B4:B8 Really are: "=TRANSPOSE(D2:H2)" for B4; "=B4" for B5:B8 I've noticed the values of the original array are saved correctly in the transposed array in spite of the formulas that are now corrupted. You can save the file and open it again many times - the values of the original array will be displayed correctly. This makes the bug rather dangerous, because you will not be able to see the bug until.. ..until you won't make change to the original array. Let's edit the cell E2: enter "6" instead of "2". Look at the transposed array: all 5 cells are updated with the value "1" (as per corrupted formulas). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Looked it over and one thing that jumps out is that your command line somehow has an extra quote mark in the INSTALLLOCATION entry: INSTALLLOCATION"=C:\Program Files\LibreOffice Result is that the default is pulled from the MSI package. As you then select a custom install, you later change the INSTALLLOCATION to your preferred placement. Since you are up and working, hate to ask you to uninstall and have another go. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71897 --- Comment #13 from Alexander --- Hi, I'm affected by this bug too. The definition is very similar, but first I've noticed this bug for the currency format. OS: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit LO: 4.4.4.3, 4.4.5.2 I've added the file "Test_2.ods" with 3 example formats: date; currency; number with a fractional part. You can see, that the colomns A,C,D are properly formatted (so, you can add entries to empty rows and the data will be formatted as expected). After saving this file to the .xlsx format you will lose all the formatting for the empty rows. If you'll try to manually restore columns formating for the .xslx file, it would work only till the file closing. After reopening the .xlsx file you will see all formatting for the empty rows is lost again. P.S. It's quite strange, but I have not been affected by this bug for the currency format with LO 4.3.5 - 4.3.7. As that ticket title was chosen to match my findings, I'm copying it for this new bug. Here are my comments from the other ticket again: bug 93606, comment 23 2015-08-31 22:50:41 UTC I am also experiencing this problem on an US English version of Windows 7. I am not changing the drive letter but the actual name of the installation directory (I want to remove the major version number). Also, I choose not to create a desktop shortcut, this is also ignored. I've first reported this on https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/56644/custom-install-options-ignored-on-windows-7/ with some more details but there were no replies. I've seen this problem on my previous installations of LibreOffice 4 as well. bug 93606, comment 24 2015-08-31 23:18:38 UTC I've now tried the command line suggested in bug 93606, comment 16, with the path changed to what I desire, so this is what I ran: msiexec.exe /i LibreOffice_5.0.1_Win_x64.msi INSTALDIR="C:\Program Files\LibreOffice" TARGETDIR="C:\Program Files\LibreOffice" INSTALLLOCATION"="C:\Program Files\LibreOffice" /L*v installLog.txt However, as soon as I chose "Custom", the wizard came up the default install location "C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 5\". I changed it back to what I wanted (leaving the trailing backslash in place). Then it worked (also the desktop shortcut, but still does not work when I double-click the .msi file. My account has the required rights to perform the installation either way, but I took care to start the command line from an administator's CMD process as requested in the previous comment. bug 93606, comment 25 2015-08-31 23:32:55 UTC I had to jump through the some hoop when installing the help package. Funnily, the dialog did pick up from somewhere that I had installed LibreOffice in "C:\Program Files\LibreOffice" and did show that path to me in the dialog. So I went ahead and clicked to install. I then found that "C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 5" had been created. Uninstalling the help package did not remove that folder either. I removed it manually after uninstalling and then ran msiexec.exe /i LibreOffice_5.0.1_Win_x64_helppack_en-US.msi INSTALDIR="C:\Program Files\LibreOffice" TARGETDIR="C:\Program Files\LibreOffice" INSTALLLOCATION"="C:\Program Files\LibreOffice" /L*v installLog3.txt I now, finally, have a working installation (with help package) in my desired target folder. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
