[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96663] New: Crash with the api getFontDescriptors under LO5 x64, Windows

2015-12-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 96663
Summary: Crash with the api getFontDescriptors under LO5 x64,
Windows
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ddora...@dmaths.org

Created attachment 121492
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=121492&action=edit
A file to test

I get a crash, using the API getfontDescriptors under LO5 x64 Windows.

Try this code :

Sub EssaiFontDescriptor
oWindow =
ThisComponent.getCurrentController().getFrame().getContainerWindow()
  oDescript = oWindow.getFontDescriptors
 s = ""
For i = LBound(oDescript) to UBound(oDescript)
s = s & oDescript(i).Name & chr(13)
Next
Print s
End Sub

Is there a way trough API to known if LO is x64 or 32 ?

Thank's for all.

Hi @Andy, hope you have luck.

I don't understand this new behaviour with a selection clicking on the button,
neither the meaning of the arrow in the "Save" button, doing nothing different
clicking on it than click on the button, when the file was already saved.

If we want simplify, we can have only one button:
 - If the file wasn't saved:
   - Button plus arrow for "Save as" or "Save remote"
 - If the file was saved:
   - Greyed button plus arrow for "Save as" or "Save remote"
 - Delete from the toolbar the "Save as" button.

Save as XLSX and Open in Excel

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a chart in Calc
2. Make any change to the chart area, such as adding a background color
3. Save as XLSX
4. Open in Excel

Note the chart area goes outside the chart frame, so the first and last bars
are rendered outside of the chart's frame. If the file is saved as XLS, the
chart is properly exported. If the file is saved with LibreOffice Calc 4.3 or
earlier, the chart is properly exported. If no changes are made to the chart's
area, it's properly exported. Round-tripped native Excel files are also
affected by this bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96660] New: The "save file" button in the main toolbar has now a strange and incoherent behaviour

2015-12-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96660

Bug ID: 96660
Summary: The "save file" button in the main toolbar has now a
strange and incoherent behaviour
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: silva...@katamail.com

Until LO 5.0.4, the "save file" button in the main toolbar was very simple:
if the opened file was modified the button was active, and the user could press
it to save the latest changes;
if instead the file had undergone no further modifications after the last save,
the button was greyed out to show that there was no need to save again.
In previous relaeases of LO, the behaviour was conforming the all world
standards observed for the same button:
- after having created a document and written some text in it, at first the
button to save has the normal function ("save as..." if the document is new and
never before published, "save" if the file has been given a name but has been
modified since last saving, and greyed out if there is no change since last
saving).
However now in 5.1.0.1 after the new file has been modified and saved for the
first time, the same button behaves in a different and strongly unintuitive
way: instead of turning gray, it stays active with the same icon but now with 2
new options: "save as" and "save on a remote server".
This is annoying first because you do not have anymore any clear sign of the
fact that your file is faithfully saved or not.
Notice that he small icon at the center of the status bar tells you if the
document has been changed if you hover above it with the mouse (with a flyover
text), but it does not give any easy indication since it icon does not change
to distinguish when saving is due from when is was already done.

2015-12-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 96659
Summary: When you open and select text in a text object in a

selected text is invisible
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: silva...@katamail.com

Create a new Draw file. then insert any shape object, and then a rectangle text
object, writing some words into it.
In LO 5.1.0.1, when you click on the text object and then double click on the
text to select it, the whole text become white on a white background, making
any editing impossible.
To avoid this you have to first select the object and wait for the
quite-long-to-come selection to be active (see another bug regarding the
painfully slow selection/deselection problem of objects in LO 5.1.0.1), and
only then double click on the text to have it selected in negative, therefore
usable.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96658] New: selection of objects in Draw and Impress awfully slow

2015-12-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96658

Bug ID: 96658
Summary: selection of objects in Draw and Impress awfully slow
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: silva...@katamail.com

In LO 5.1.0.1 when you click on any object (text, shape, bitmap) in a draw or
impress document, the selection activation, which was in "real time" before,
has become very slow, and takes about one second now on an Intel core i5.
This is even worse when you have an object already selceted and you click on
another object to select it: you really feel you have to wait before the first
object is deselected and the one you click is instead selected.
This sluggish behaviour makes working and editing a file a tedious and error
prone process, especially if you're an experienced user.

In previous versions of LO none of this happened, all selections were
substantially immediate. The behaviour of 5.1.0.1, instead reminds me of the
efficiency of the very first graphical programs on PC, 386 cpu - era.

If this problem is not removed, I would say anybody working with Draw and
impress continuously would be better off downgrading back to 5.0.3.2 (or 5.0.4,
I did not try it).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96657] New: The drag and zoom tool does not show the selection area rectangle anymore

2015-12-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96657

Bug ID: 96657
Summary: The drag and zoom tool does not show the selection
area rectangle anymore
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: silva...@katamail.com

The tool to select an area of a document in DRAW or IMPRESS by mouse dragging
and enlarge it when you release the mouse has always shown a dotted rectangle
around the area you dragged which you wanted to enlarge.
Now in 5.1.0.1 this dragging rectangle is no more shown, making more difficult
to understand what area you are going to zoom into when releasing the mouse.

  Reporter: silva...@katamail.com

In LO 5.1.0.1 all numerical fields that had a couple of small up and down
arrows to change the value gradually do not show the arrows anymore. The
function is still working, i.e. you can click on the now empty space to the
right of the value to change it, but you do not see anything.
This happens really everywhere , any dialog windows ect.
As a an example consider the paragraph dialog window at the indents tab: all
numerical filed do not show the up-down arrows.

Te zoom slider sowhn at the right end of the status bar shows a small circle
showing the present zoom level. This circle moved left or right when you
changed zoom level.
In 5.1.0.1 instead, when you change zoom the circle moves but the previous one
remains visible, and after some clicks you have the slider line covered by a
multitude of partially overlapping circles, a real mess.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96651] New: Background Image Can be Arranged Forward

2015-12-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96651

Bug ID: 96651
Summary: Background Image Can be Arranged Forward
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: harald.koes...@mail.de

In order to reproduce:

[1] Create a new text document.
[2] Insert an image as background:
(a) Insert > Image…
(b) Chose an image on your system which covers a greater area of a page.
(c) Context menu of image: Wrap > In Background.
[3] Create a rectangle with some text above the background. The area of the
rectangle is blue and covers the background image.
[4] Arrange the background image one level forward:
(a) Click into background. The background is selected.
(b) Context menu: Arrange > Bring Forward. The rectangle is still displayed
above the background image.
[5] Try to change the rectangle. You neither can't select the text nor the
rectangle itself. Hence a change is not possible. For a user this may be quite
irritating. For me it seemed that according the display the background image is
still in the background and according the selection the image is above the
rectangle. To my opinion it should not be possible to arrange a background
forward. That means at step 4b the item “Arrange” should not displayed or
should be greyed if a background image is selected.
[6] You can revert the behaviour if you send the background one level back.
Afterwards the rectangle can be changed again.

Header with different border sizes

Steps to reproduce:

1) make a heading
2) edit the style to put borders of different sides on each side

Expected Results:
2) each border should line up so that the outside edge is a full square

Actual Results:
2a) the preview in the style UI is correct
2b) the actual border in the document display is wrong -- it has notches out of
some of the corners.

I checked the various versions and have narrowed the problem to 4.2.1.1.
4.2.0.4 worked correctly.

I have no problems on Windows 7 with 5.0.4.2 but under 64-bit Linux problem
happens everytime on LibreOffice 5.0.3.2, when using mouse to select area from
the first cell on the left top corner to the lowest at the bottom right. Sounds
like some sort of buffer overrun problem but is it on mouse driver, OS level or
on LibreOffice, I do not know.

Using keyboard works just nice for area selection, so it is purely mouse
related problem. Selection takes several minutes with mouse because of the slow
scroll. With keyboard selection is almost instant.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96533] FORMATTING no text box line gradient color

2015-12-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96533

That coarse gradient fill is reported on Bug 96527, so this ticket should
concentrate to the line thing.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96533] FORMATTING no text box line gradient color

2015-12-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96533

No, forget that "Enable relay on network" thing, it works correctly with the
current LibreOffice, screenshot on the right side was taken originally from
even older Apache OpenOffice, which had problems also with that.

What I meant, is that higher and narrower textbox, which creates that "blue
frame fading to the right" effect for the other text box containing actual
text. LibreOffice seems to miss totally a possibility to use gradient line
color on text box frame, leading to that less than optimal representation.

Both text boxes have also that gradient fill, which is not that nice looking,
when compared to the PowerPoint representation, especially during the "Show"
mode.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96516] Left Join not available with unixodbc and sqlite

2015-12-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96516

--- Comment #2 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk ---
Created attachment 121480
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=121480&action=edit
Test files

I attach 4 files to demonstrate this. The txt file is really a zip. odbc.ini
and odbcinst.ini are from an ubuntu 14.04 system (in /etc) with unixodbc and
libsqliteodbc installed.

odbc.ini will need editing to point to test.sqlite.

test.sqlite has two tables, t1 with an id key and text field, t2 with an id2
key, id key as a foreign key to t1, and a text field.

test.odb uses odbc to access test.sqlite (I assume it will need this link
resetting on installation). There is a query called test that attempts to find
all entries in t1, including those that don't have entries in t2, but it cannot
be done. I want a LEFT join from t1 to t2, but BASE only supports RIGHT joins,
which sqlite rejects. IF I switch the tables round to use a LEFT join using
BASE it fails.

I can use pure SQL and a LEFT join so BASE ignores the syntax but the resulting
query can't then be filtered using forms and so on, so doesn't work with an
application that is being used specifically to employ such filters.

Help!

Created attachment 121479

backtrace (strace.log + gdbtrace.log)

This may not exactly the same problem I am encountering, but it certainly
sounds very similar.

Setup: a newly updated Suse 42.1, with KDE (KDE Frameworks 5.16.0, Qt 5.5.0
(built against 5.5.0), The xcb windowing system)

Libre Office Version: 5.0.2.2, Build-ID: 00m0(Build:2) (fom the Suse Repo)
(debug packages from
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/Factory/openSUSE_Factory/.
"libreoffice-debuginfo-5.0.2.2-1.2.x86_64" mentioned in gdbtrace.log appears
not to exist anywhere.)

LibreOffice crashes Plasma (and/or X) on opening any type of file (tested for
.odt and .ods) every time.

Starting LO without a file works, as soon as file is opened via menu, it
crashes although the file's content is actually visible a split second.

Toggling LO options --> Ansicht --> Grafikausgabe --> use(not) openGL has no
effect.

I initially suspected a version 5 bug. Therefore I downgraded to 4.4.7 which
also crashes. (The following refers again to 5.0.2.2)

My next suspicion was a Plasma bug:
Therefore tried all available KDE-System settings for Compositor (i.e. openGL
2.0, the default; openGL 3.1; XRender) with no result.

The attached backtrace info (see caveat on gdbtrace.log above) was created with
XRender active.

(I have not yet tried renaming the profile.)

Drew a text box using Drawing toolbar.

Test with 5.0.4. If still crashes, install debug package and get a gdb trace

2015-12-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45589

In order to show bookmarks into LibreOffice I'm still using an extension which
was released for [Sun] OpenOffice, ie "Visible Bookmarks" by Rup.Xamqon which
you can get from:
http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/visiblebookmarks
I translated it into Italian and this is why I know it. It is far from perfect,
but it works. It was released by the author as a patch for this problem which
was already present (and still not solved) in OpenOffice and he invited to vote
for the solution of this bug also in its "Help" which integrates with OOo/LibO
Help.

My 2 cents tip.

Retested the issue, it still happens in 5.0.4.2 (tested in Fedora Linux). I
have also checked the problem in master, is not solved there also although
behaviour has changed slightly: when breaking the link, values remains shown in
the windows, they are shown as pointing to ref when you force a page refresh by
changing to Sheet2 (for example)

Checked that problem already existed in 3.3 to setting version to "inherited

I'm still reproducing the problem from scratch.

bottom. The double line with a thicker top line.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61306] Nested frames with transparency causes horizontal line artifacting

2015-12-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61306

I won't reopen this report (I've been yelled at before!), but it appears this
is more complicated than I thought. First, LO shows completely different
behavior depending on if you're opening an existing document or if you're
creating a new one.

If you're opening an existing document, such as my last example document (
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=95338 ), LO 4.4+ will
revert to something closer to the previous pre-4.4 behavior. The horizontal
artifacts will disappear as described, but only if anti-aliasing is enabled.
In this state, even though the lines are still visible, the lines are much less
noticeable. I'm guessing either the gap is thinner or the panes are slightly
transparent?

If, instead, you create the same frames in LO 4.4+ or just copy/paste the
frames from the example doc to a new document, you'll see the new behavior/bugs
I described above in comment 14.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82396] Sidebar: Incorrect behavior regarding real-time update of values in "Position and Size"

2015-12-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82396

Also, if size is set to 0, then aspect ratio is forgotten. This actually
happens, it's as easy as removing first the width value before putting the
final one. (Removing is same as to set width to zero.) When putting the final
width value, the image becomes square.

These errors are reported asynchronously,
set environment variable SAL_SYNCHRONIZE to 1 to help debugging
