https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96660 Bug ID: 96660 Summary: The "save file" button in the main toolbar has now a strange and incoherent behaviour Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.1.0.1 rc Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: silva...@katamail.com Until LO 5.0.4, the "save file" button in the main toolbar was very simple: if the opened file was modified the button was active, and the user could press it to save the latest changes; if instead the file had undergone no further modifications after the last save, the button was greyed out to show that there was no need to save again. In previous relaeases of LO, the behaviour was conforming the all world standards observed for the same button: - after having created a document and written some text in it, at first the button to save has the normal function ("save as..." if the document is new and never before published, "save" if the file has been given a name but has been modified since last saving, and greyed out if there is no change since last saving). However now in 5.1.0.1 after the new file has been modified and saved for the first time, the same button behaves in a different and strongly unintuitive way: instead of turning gray, it stays active with the same icon but now with 2 new options: "save as" and "save on a remote server". This is annoying first because you do not have anymore any clear sign of the fact that your file is faithfully saved or not. Notice that he small icon at the center of the status bar tells you if the document has been changed if you hover above it with the mouse (with a flyover text), but it does not give any easy indication since it icon does not change to distinguish when saving is due from when is was already done. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This is even worse when you have an object already selceted and you click on another object to select it: you really feel you have to wait before the first object is deselected and the one you click is instead selected. This sluggish behaviour makes working and editing a file a tedious and error prone process, especially if you're an experienced user. In previous versions of LO none of this happened, all selections were substantially immediate. The behaviour of 5.1.0.1, instead reminds me of the efficiency of the very first graphical programs on PC, 386 cpu - era. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96651] New: Background Image Can be Arranged Forward
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96651 Bug ID: 96651 Summary: Background Image Can be Arranged Forward Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.0.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: harald.koes...@mail.de In order to reproduce: [1] Create a new text document. [2] Insert an image as background: (a) Insert > Image… (b) Chose an image on your system which covers a greater area of a page. (c) Context menu of image: Wrap > In Background. [3] Create a rectangle with some text above the background. The area of the rectangle is blue and covers the background image. [4] Arrange the background image one level forward: (a) Click into background. The background is selected. (b) Context menu: Arrange > Bring Forward. The rectangle is still displayed above the background image. [5] Try to change the rectangle. You neither can't select the text nor the rectangle itself. Hence a change is not possible. For a user this may be quite irritating. For me it seemed that according the display the background image is still in the background and according the selection the image is above the rectangle. To my opinion it should not be possible to arrange a background forward. That means at step 4b the item “Arrange” should not displayed or should be greyed if a background image is selected. [6] You can revert the behaviour if you send the background one level back. Afterwards the rectangle can be changed again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Sounds like some sort of buffer overrun problem but is it on mouse driver, OS level or on LibreOffice, I do not know. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96533] FORMATTING no text box line gradient color
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96533 --- Comment #3 from Ari Latvala --- No, forget that "Enable relay on network" thing, it works correctly with the current LibreOffice, screenshot on the right side was taken originally from even older Apache OpenOffice, which had problems also with that. What I meant, is that higher and narrower textbox, which creates that "blue frame fading to the right" effect for the other text box containing actual text. LibreOffice seems to miss totally a possibility to use gradient line color on text box frame, leading to that less than optimal representation. Both text boxes have also that gradient fill, which is not that nice looking, when compared to the PowerPoint representation, especially during the "Show" mode. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96516] Left Join not available with unixodbc and sqlite
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96516 --- Comment #2 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- Created attachment 121480 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=121480&action=edit Test files I attach 4 files to demonstrate this. The txt file is really a zip. odbc.ini and odbcinst.ini are from an ubuntu 14.04 system (in /etc) with unixodbc and libsqliteodbc installed. odbc.ini will need editing to point to test.sqlite. test.sqlite has two tables, t1 with an id key and text field, t2 with an id2 key, id key as a foreign key to t1, and a text field. test.odb uses odbc to access test.sqlite (I assume it will need this link resetting on installation). There is a query called test that attempts to find all entries in t1, including those that don't have entries in t2, but it cannot be done. I want a LEFT join from t1 to t2, but BASE only supports RIGHT joins, which sqlite rejects. IF I switch the tables round to use a LEFT join using BASE it fails. I can use pure SQL and a LEFT join so BASE ignores the syntax but the resulting query can't then be filtered using forms and so on, so doesn't work with an application that is being used specifically to employ such filters. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 95957] LibreOffice 5.0.3.2 - crashes with std::bad_alloc
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95957 Adi Meyerhofer changed: What|Removed |Added CC||adimey...@gmail.com --- Comment #7 from Adi Meyerhofer --- Created attachment 121479 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=121479&action=edit backtrace (strace.log + gdbtrace.log) This may not exactly the same problem I am encountering, but it certainly sounds very similar. Setup: a newly updated Suse 42.1, with KDE (KDE Frameworks 5.16.0, Qt 5.5.0 (built against 5.5.0), The xcb windowing system) Libre Office Version: 5.0.2.2, Build-ID: 00m0(Build:2) (fom the Suse Repo) (debug packages from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/Factory/openSUSE_Factory/. "libreoffice-debuginfo-5.0.2.2-1.2.x86_64" mentioned in gdbtrace.log appears not to exist anywhere.) LibreOffice crashes Plasma (and/or X) on opening any type of file (tested for .odt and .ods) every time. Starting LO without a file works, as soon as file is opened via menu, it crashes although the file's content is actually visible a split second. Toggling LO options --> Ansicht --> Grafikausgabe --> use(not) openGL has no effect. I initially suspected a version 5 bug. Therefore I downgraded to 4.4.7 which also crashes. (The following refers again to 5.0.2.2) My next suspicion was a Plasma bug: Therefore tried all available KDE-System settings for Compositor (i.e. openGL 2.0, the default; openGL 3.1; XRender) with no result. The attached backtrace info (see caveat on gdbtrace.log above) was created with XRender active. (I have not yet tried renaming the profile.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I have also checked the problem in master, is not solved there also although behaviour has changed slightly: when breaking the link, values remains shown in the windows, they are shown as pointing to ref when you force a page refresh by changing to Sheet2 (for example) Checked that problem already existed in 3.3 to setting version to "inherited from OOo" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61306] Nested frames with transparency causes horizontal line artifacting
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61306 --- Comment #16 from tmacalp --- I won't reopen this report (I've been yelled at before!), but it appears this is more complicated than I thought. First, LO shows completely different behavior depending on if you're opening an existing document or if you're creating a new one. If you're opening an existing document, such as my last example document ( https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=95338 ), LO 4.4+ will revert to something closer to the previous pre-4.4 behavior. The horizontal artifacts will disappear as described, but only if anti-aliasing is enabled. In this state, even though the lines are still visible, the lines are much less noticeable. I'm guessing either the gap is thinner or the panes are slightly transparent? If, instead, you create the same frames in LO 4.4+ or just copy/paste the frames from the example doc to a new document, you'll see the new behavior/bugs I described above in comment 14. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
