I think the problem was in previous version, where the text was saved in
uppercase in xml structure. If you delete the cell and create the formula
(=General.A11) again, the bug doesn't occurs in current version. Please try it.

If that is all that "button" is supposed to do, it doesn't seem to work, and is
of dubious use on a computer with a mouse.

The rest of the formula bar is buttons or drop-down lists.

Then why have the input line field in the formula bar ? It does display
clearly what is in the input field, often not clear in small cells.
If one doesn't want to see the other fields in the formula bar, why wouldn't it
be reasonable to add this field to another tool bar ? This could allow
displaying tool bar items in fewer lines, thus freeing up screen space for the
cells + other apps.

As stated in the initial comment, being able to customize the formula bar would
also solve the problem.

I was looking into pushing the dictionary update to master, and there's an
important difference: the original dictionary also includes a Lightproof
sentence checker.

Since merging the two is a bit of a pain, would it be possible to consolidate
and maintain the package as one? Or is it better to do the merging once, and
later only update the changed dictionary files? (the files to be merged are
like: description.xml, dictionaries.xcu, manifest.xml)

I'm also wondering, does the current setup (old shipped dictionary with
sentence check + current extension without sentence check) mean that once the
extension is installed, the English sentence check becomes unavailable?

Understood. Assign modified styles rather than direct formatting.

>

Do not beleive that is the case. If you select a row or a column or the full
sheet and apply a font color change--the cells with direct formatting applied
(differing from the style of the cell) will retain it.

But, you can change the direct formatting of just the color for a specific cell
or group of cells while not changing any of the other direct formatting.

PPT and ODP sample files with exported PNG slides

PPT and ODP slides edited in LibreOffice Impress 5.1.2.2 with Calc cells pasted
as GDI does not display correctly when open in Mac OS X:

- in ODP, the GDI becomes gibberish when opened in LO;

- in PPT, the GDI does not display at all in Powerpoint 2011 (Mac);

- in PPT, the GDI is displayed in Keynotes but not correctly;

They both display correctly in Win10 and LinuxMint in both Powerpoint and
LibreOffice.

All computers have LibreOffice Impress 5.1.2.2 and Powerpoint 2010 (and
Powerpoint 2011 in Mac) properly installed.

Bug ID: 99923

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: thexnecromance...@web.de

I inserted a table without borders that is larger than one page. I tried to set
the bottom border of the first row of the second page. Automatically the top
border is set, too. To reproduce:

1) Open a new Writer document
2) Insert a table with 40 rows
3) Mark the whole table and deactivate all borders
4) Mark the first row on the second page
5) Set the bottom border

Expected result:
Bottom border is set in this row

Observed result:
Bottom and top border are set in this row. It's not possible to deactivate the
top border.

I was able to reproduce this on Version 5.2.0.0 with Windows 10. I also tested
this on OpenOffice 4.2 and achieved the same results. It seems that if a
hyperlink is changed, the ordering on the list of hyperlinks in the navigator
window changes, along with the currently focused hyperlink. I'm not sure if
this is the intended behavior or not, but here's my 2 cents anyways.

Steps:
1. open a new writer document and create multiple hyperlinks
2. click View>Navigator and extend the Hyperlinks list by clicking the + buton
next to Hyperlinks
3. Double click on the first hyperlink in the list to focus on it
4. Right Click on any other hyperlink on the list and click Edit.
5. Change the text or target and click OK.

Result: The list is reordered and the focused hyperlink was moved to the one
that was changed.

Menu/Tools/Options, and the files "user/basic/dialog.xlc" and "scrip.xlc" are
overwritten, additionally custom colors in "user/config/standard.soc" are lost.

2016-05-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99915

--- Comment #1 from Theodore Matula Jr. ---
Summary: I was not able to replicate this bug. I used version 5.1.3.2 on
Windows 10. When trying to change the bullet type for a bullet point or
numbered list using the bullet button on the toolbar, LibreOffice writer is
supposed to crash, but mine did not. Since the report says the version is
5.0.6.2, maybe this was fixed since then? Or maybe a corrupted file?

Steps:
1. Open a new LibreOffice Writer document
2. Press the bullet button on the toolbar to make a bullet point (or shift+F12)
3. Write a sentence after the bullet point
4. Next to the bullet point button on the toolbar, press the down arrow to open
a drop down menu and choose a different Bullet style.

Expected result: The bullet point's format changes
Actual Result: The bullet point's format changes

Actually, done that way you simply have applied additional direct formatting of
color to the text in Cell A1.

After selection, clear the direct formatting from the selection, and then apply
the replacement color.

example of how this formula doesn't work properly

I am trying to write an equation where I am dividing two vectors by each other
and I would like to use the {}over{} notation to do it. However when I do this,
the “hat” that designates that the symbols are vectors are poorly positioned.
In the denominator, the hat is just above the line and in the numerator the hat
seems to be outside of the equation box and not visible.

This does not seem to be a problem with other symbols that go over variables,
such as the acute accent or the tilde. It is a problem with both vec and
widevec

An example formula that creates this is provided below
vec {m} = Cm ({vec {%rho_p}} over { vec{%rho_s} })

That is not good, first please check if disabling OpenGL rendering helps.

Done from Tools -> Options -> View and uncheck "Use OpenGL for all rendering

Restart and check again, let us know if that eliminates the blue screen on

Try to open Impress leads to bluescreen and reboot of Windows (cf

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.10586]

Can be reproduced by simply starting the libre-office main screen and clicking
on impress: This will produce the bluescreen and subsequently windows reboot
every single time.
Starting all the others like writer and calc works fine.
Starting the writer/calc/etc. after the reboot causes a warning that a central
file is in use and continnuing might lead to inconsistency.

Issue is visible starting with line 9. Excel rows are smaller by default
because Excel does not support inset margins.

Rows 9 ff. are as large as first row now. Correct behavior is same height as
rows 2 to 8. Issue exists since LO 5.1.3. Exporting with LO 5.1.2 behaved
correctly.

Giving text without quotes could be a cell named 'text' (or a column or row
name, which LO actually points out when entering text without quotes) which
Excel also allows. The actual difference (i.e. one of the additional attributes
of the cfRule element we write) that causes Excel to complain must be something
else. Btw, tested with Excel2010.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99839] Page numbering work proprely but the translation in German is in one case incorrect.

2016-05-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99839

I continue:

II. Now we consider the other possibility b) where the translation is incorrect
in the second row. Click in LibreOffice Writer up in the first row on the term
"Einfügen" (in the English version might be "Insertion" or "Insert" or perhaps
another similar expression.) Consider there in line 2 "Feldbefehl" and click on
it. You will see the next pull down menu. Consider there line 3 "Seitennummer"
[that is correct!] and line 4 "Seitenzahl" [that is incorrect!]. Correct would
be "Seitenanzahl"! Compare with the correct term in case I. Therefore look back
at I. possibility a).

Comments:

- Here is not a single number of a page meant ("Seitenzahl") but the sum of the
pages is meant (in German "Seitenanzahl"). The problem is: In German colloquial
language "Seitenzahl" is an indifferent expression. With this feeling for
language "Seitenzahl" could have two different meanings: "Seitennummer" but
also "Seitenanzahl". To avoid confusion we use in strictly mathematical manner
"Seitenanzahl" and not "Seitenzahl".

- For a better understanding and for correcting the mistake You and the other
developers should have usable the German Version of Libreoffice Writer,
Version: 5.1.2.2 (x64).

- I hope that I could show You the problem clearly and convincingly.

- It interests me: what is the English equivalent of the German "Seitenanzahl"
and how is it named in the versions of LibreOffice?

- I hope my writing together with LibreOffice Writer will help You to
understand the problem and to solve it.

- I am also interested in an English version of LibreOffice.

I hope that I can hereby contribute a little bit to the improvement of
LibreOffice. I really enjoy working with LibreOffice.

Your answer is welcome.
Good luck and lots of fun at work to All of the Developers Team!

Greetings from Berni

When selecting already typed out bulleted lists, and then using either the
Bullets and Numbering toolbar bullet drop down selector or the sidebar bullet
drop down selector to select a new bullet type, causes an immediate crash. This
is reproducible every time by simply attempting to select a new bullet type.

LibreOffice Writer Version: 5.1.2.2 (x64), German edition
Dear Developers of LibreOffice Writer,

Thank You for Your message. I prefere the following method to describe the
current problem because this is much more faster!

In Writer I found a little bug. It is only one small problem with the
tanslation from English into German. It relates to the designation of the
pages: first the indication of the current page number and secondly specifying
the total pages of the document. In the current German edition I found
therefore in LibreOffice Writer two ways: a) One way is absolutely correct. b)
The other way includes the small translation error, but the calculated result
is also correct. This matter has motivated me to report the error in b). So
it's just about to correct the little mistake in the translation of b).

For a better understanding of a) and b) I try to explain it in a structured
way:
I. We begin with a) where everything is correct. Click in LibreOffice Writer up
in the second row on the icon #. You will see the associated pull down menu.
Consider in the pull down menu line 1 "Seitennummer" (in English "page number")
and line 2 "Seitenanzahl" (in English "page Count", total pages of the
document). Note: There is "Seitenanzahl" and not "Seitenzahl"! Result: The two
terms "Seitennummer" and "Seitenanzahl" are properly translated from English
into German. Where "Seitennummer" the current page number is. It means the
number of the page which the document is showing at the moment. And
"Seitenanzahl" is specifying the total pages. It means the sum of the pages of
the entire document.

II. Now we consider the other possibility b) where the translation is incorrect
in the second row.

  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: nicolas.mail...@laposte.net

When you try to check the hyperlinks of a document using the navigator, focus
moves all the time wasting time reviewing the same hyperlinks again and again

1. create a document with dozens of hyperlinks
2. open the hyperlink list in the navigator
3. try to fix hyperlinks one after the other (because of bug #99912 for
example)
  a. double-click on each hyperlink entry to focus it
  b. change the hyperlink text or target

Expected behaviour: after changing, adding or deleting an hyperlink the
navigator focus stays on the current hyperlink or at least the next one in the
list

Actual behaviour: the list is reordered, focus is lost, need to restart from
the beginning to make sure you've reviewed all the hyperlinks

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99912

Bug ID: 99912
Summary: Writer creates a new hyperlink when proofing hyperlink
text
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: nicolas.mail...@laposte.net

When one changes the displayed text of hyperlinks in the wysiwyg interface,
writer creates new additional hyperlinks instead of fixing old ones.

For example:
1. create an hyperlink on the word smart
2. add an s to smart → smarts in the editing window
3. look in the navigator: you now have a "smart" hyperlink and a "s" hyperlink
with the same target

Writer should extend the existing hyperlink instead of adding new ones

Writer should automerge consecutive runs of text with the same hyperlink target
in a single hyperlink

It depends on whether gradient_exmpl.svg is inserted or loaded. The first one
results in a gradient, the second in a messy interpretation. Setting relevance
to major since it's a real show stopper.
