A quick reply for one possible issue: The document is formatted for DIN A4, and
the printer also uses DIN A4 (I hope both parts agree what DIN A4 is ;-))

That DAV error means "User authentication failed on server", you can find it
here:
.
By looking at the debug log you see this line before the one you reported:

info:ucb.ucp.webdav:24876:1:ucb/source/ucp/webdav-neon/webdavcontent.cxx:423:
Content::execute: start: command: getPropertyValues, env: missing

it tells you the xCommandEnvironment is missing, meaning the interaction

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78529] Editing very slow with big picture on page

2016-08-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78529

In Windows 7 testing with a fairly recent master build (with enable-symbols),
the situation has improved a lot. I only experienced laggy scrolling with the
following attachments, and the source of that lagginess can be categorized as
follows (based on a bit of simple profiling with Very Sleepy):

1. GdipCreateSolidFill call takes up significant time

-"sample odt file with some images - try to scroll down and up, it's so
slow..."
-"4MB png that does NOT lag on our fast machines"

2. Bitmap::ImplConvertDown and `anonymous namespace'::scalePallete8bit2 calls &
callees eat up a lot of time

-"gif 300dpi grayscale slowsdown writer"

Typing is also slow, except in "sample odt file with some images - try to
scroll down and up, it's so slow...".
No lag with OpenGL rendering.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89860] Ability to print from Android ...

2016-08-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89860

Hi Rosen; I guess you'll need to experiment. The LibreOfficeKit API - which
you'll want to expose the file format conversion pieces (to PDF I guess) in:
desktop/source/lib/lokandroid.cxx - and ensure that the relevant page / paper
sizes are pushed into the filter options somehow (I guess). And invoke those in
the Java in android/ at the right place.

Since the easy hack was filed the android code moved to:

android/source/src/java/org/libreoffice/

in the source tree. I imagine that streaming direct to PDF and pushing that to
the Android print API is by far the best approach; which would mean you can
ignore the vcl/source/gdi/pdfwriter* code pointers.

Thanks !

Sure, I just tried with a normal user, with same results. I've been using IP
address, and tried three of the four methods you listed (except the last one).

So either the message is completely bogus (for example it can't connect to the
FTP server for some reason, but gives an unrelated error message), or the issue
is indeed that it's trying to resolve an IPv4 address as host name... like,
maybe LibreOffice somehow gets the idea the system is only using IPv6
addresses, so it tries to resolve an IPv4 one as host name?
I don't know if that can actually happen, it's just an example of what my
thought process would be (there's also the complication that then it likely
wouldn't work fine with other services).

Update: Updating the LibreOffice version on the laptop to 5.2.0.4(x64) exports
a signed PDF correctly. This machine had the certificate imported *after* the
Windows 10 upgrade, while the desktop had the certificate imported before the
upgrade.

The problem seems to be with the Windows 7 to Windows 10 upgrade, with
certificates previously imported under Windows 7 not functioning correctly for
PDF export signing after the Windows 10 upgrade.

Deleting the certificate from the Windows certificate store using the mmc
Certificates snap-in, then reimporting the certificate from the PKCS #12 (.p12)
file fixed the problem.

Problem resolved.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101770] New: Writer without polish diacritics.

2016-08-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101770

Bug ID: 101770
   Summary: Writer without polish diacritics.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: pat.elb...@gmail.com

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; rv:48.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/48.0
Build Identifier: LibreOffice 5.2.0.4

I can't use a diacritics in Writer. The LO is installing on the phablet
(Colorovo Citytab Supreme with Windows 8.1) and there I input text by built-in
on-screen keyboard. When I press and wait with pressed key the Windows shows me
a list of other letters (diacritics). Exactly, when I want a polish letter "ą"
the Writer shows me a table menu ("ń" -> a tools menu). This problem I see only
in Writer. Maybe Writer "think", that polish diacritics are shortcut like
ctrl-left alt-letter. I using a system Polish (Programmers) layout of keyboard.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Touch a letter in Polish Programers on-screen layout keyboard.
2. Select a diacritics.
3. Instead a letter I see a menu.
Actual Results:
Nothing more without menu.

Expected Results:
Insert polish diacritics from list (like ą, ć, ę, ł, ń, ó, ś, ż, ź).

Hi Roelan, thanks for reporting.

I'm can't be agree on that being a bug.

When you are typing, you are on edit mode, so when all undo for the edit mode
finish, no more undo actions, then you need to quit from edit mode, this is
what select another cell does, i.e. typing ESC you can quit from edit mode and
the undo actions are available again.

Fine too, but not here ;)
So please try one of the options here

If it's crisp and clear that your use case isn't supported, or broken, come

the fact that this behavior is here since ~2001 and that I haven't seen
complaints, nor bothered myself, at least says something ;)

Note:
There has been a change in this area long time ago - OOo times:
Initially, Ctrl+Up/Down, moved the current paragraph up/down.
That behavior had been exchanged with Ctrl+Alt+Up/Down - which on Ubuntu/Unity
is used for something else. (But who cares - Ctrl+Shift+Up/Dwn, Copy, Move,
Paste is fast enough for the few occasions - in my situation anyways.)

The anchor of the Text Frame object holding "marginalia" annotation/reference

anchor as defined in the MS Word binary or OOXML document is not retained.

The Text Frame is imported at its anchor location.

2016-08-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 101768
Summary: undo only works for all cells when last action was

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.0.4 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: roelandb...@hotmail.com

In calc, if I want to undo the things I did in the last cell I edited, my last
action needs to be selecting a cell. Otherwise only the content of the cell I
was editing is undone, without a possibility to continue undoing.

Steps to reproduce:

-click in a random cell and type some letters
-continue this 4 times
-when the last letter is typed, try to undo all your actions
-result: only what is typed in the last cell can be undone
-if you want to undo more, you need to select another cell
-expected result: first you undo the contents of the cell, then you undo the
other actions

@Zennan, *

Sure there is navigation, just not by cursor movement. You can point to and
select the Text Frame object, and once selected can edit the text content of
the object.

The Text Frame object holding the "marginalia" has no linkage in the internal
LibreOffice writer canvas, nor in an ODF Text document. That facet alone is
what is missing in how LibreOffice handles them and seems a reasonable
enhancement if it can be captured into the ODF.

Would note that in MS Word the "marginalia" are also anchored frame
objects-that can be seen in the attached conversions (Word2007/12 &
Word2016/16) I've done of attachment 127046. They are not "paragraphs" from the
Word perspective either--although WordXP and the later releases provide a
chained linkage between the text and the frames. Allowing cursor movement
between paragraph and frame object.

Also, would note that the LO import parsing of the the MS Word2002/10 binary,
or OOXML conversions (12,14,16) simply retains no positioning details for the
imported Text Frame objects--the anchor is correct, but the "miror on even
pages, outer paragraph border" horizontal positioning you "corrected" it with
is not applied. The frame is positioned at the anchor--suspect that facet of
the LibreOffice ww8 import filter can be corrected.

=-comment-=

WordXP is rather old (2002) and has many MS proprietary behaviors. Subsequent
MS Office releases have moved the Microsoft platform to a more standards
compliant posture with better support for their own OOXML and importantly for
interoperability implement support for ODF standards. Opening the older
document in a more recent build of Word and then a save as export to ODF may be
your better means of conversion.

structure and configuration details for the release. A document prepared with
one of the releases will reflect the release in its meta data.

After having another look at the problem, I found that I should have had a
glance at the ODB files instead of relying on the UI. As mentioned in the bug
81213, comment 4, I needed to change some other setting an save the file. That
would create an entry for the GenerateASBeforeCorrelationName-setting in the
new ODB file.

After reloading that ODB would _not_ suffer from the described problem.
Departing from my earlier impression, table as well as column aliases will be
correctly prepended with an "AS" keyword.

Even though I find the UI very confusing, the workaround WORKSFORME.

Just a couple of remarks:

1) for CMIS now there is a 'Checkout' command to lock file to edit

2) for WebDAV file lock should be working from LO 5.1.

So if someone can try this bug, probably it can be closed.

LibreOffice it's not a multi thread software.

Saving the sample as csv to avoid any format issue, to test.

It seems to sort quick, so looks as something in relation with the format or
some file option, is the source of the issue.

In any case there is an issue.

OK, "notabug", according to this bug's current wording.

Do we need to file a new feature request bug?

Or do we need to do something else?

I propose something along the lines of the following:

LibreOffice CTRL+ArrowUp behaviour should be customizable, to allow for
"traditional" or defacto (i.e. non-LibreOffice) behaviour, namely, to allow for
the behaviour of CTRL+ArrowUp to match in movement, the behaviour of the
selection shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+ArrowUp.

LibreOffice default CTRL+ArrowUp behaviour is inconsistent with all other
programs that anyone knows of, including but not limited to the following:
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Word, all versions
- Microsoft Notepad, all versions
- Notepad++ on all platforms
- Eclipse on all platforms and in all configurations
- Geany, Gedit, and numerous other GNU/Linux editors
- numerous other cross-platform text editors
- All known proprietary IDEs
- all other known cross platform text editors and IDEs

I've been bitten ("surprised") by this quite a few times - unfortunately come
from very heavy use of WordXP over many years.

This "standard OO/LO behaviour" is:
1) internally inconsistent:
 - Ctrl+Arrow Up: Move cursor to beginning of the *previous* paragraph
 - Ctrl+Shift+Arrow Up: Select to beginning of paragraph. Next keystroke
extends selection to beginning of previous paragraph

the different semantics between "movement" and "selection movement" is in
principle not good. If someone can find a standard showing this is not
standard, that could be an argument to change the default behaviour in LO.

2) very jarring to those who come from, and have used, many different MSWindows
AND GNU/Linux programs which ALL demonstrate the alternative (what we call
"standard") behaviour!

I have NEVER in my 35 years of computing EVER seen Ctrl+ArrowUP behave as in
LibreOffice!

Even if this behaviour is not a dejure standard, it sure is a defacto standard!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101765] New: UI no cursor movement from para to marginalia para/frame , to subsequent para

2016-08-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101765

Bug ID: 101765
Summary: UI no cursor movement from para to marginalia
para/frame, to subsequent para
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Master old -3.6
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: z...@freedbms.net

This missing functionality exists in Microsoft WordXP (2002/2003 possibly
earlier) and it is for me a bug due to slow down for me, of my editing of large
legal documents (I do this as a volunteer).

In particularly this effects legal documents where marginalia paragraphs are
used for per paragraph numbering - in this situation, the marginalia in LO must
be created with Frame style (that's ok per se), but such paragraphs, unlike as
in WordXP, cannot be simply navigated through (and therefore simply edited and
simply manipulated inside LO macros) with the cursor, from or to the previous
(non marginalia) para, nor to or from the subsequent non-marginalia para.

Refer to the odt and other attachments to the following bug to see a simple and
clear example of what I am referring to:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101753

Also, bug #62071, is related and I believe VERY SIMILAR in terms of developer
impact/effort (should be relatively low, now that bug #62071 has been solved -
cursor movement is almost trivially similar).

LO's solved bug #62071 is an improvement over WordXP, and should be kept (of
course), but also the MSWord implementation of cursor movement between
sequential paragraphs, both normal as well as "marginalia" paras (in LO,
"framed" paragraphs).

Explained in minute detail in case useful:

- In WordXP, when at the end of a para and where the "next" para is actually
the marginalia ("legal para numbering") for the subsequent para, pressing
does nothing! That's bad. The current (at least LO5.2) LO
implementation is definitely more functional, and thus better - delete does
something quite useful! This new LO functionality should definitely be kept.

- HOWEVER, in WordXP, when I am at the end of a para and where the "next" para
is actually the marginalia ("legal para numbering") for the subsequent para,
pressing moves the cursor to the beginning of the marginalia para (the
para in the "marginalia frame") - again, see the attachments to #101753!
- then going to the end of the marginalia (framed) para, then press
again, and the cursor ends up at the beginning of the subsequent paragraph.

This makes editing of large legal documents (think 1000 pages) over many
months, bearable!

This also makes creating macros to do certain "marginalia" editing, possible
(as at LO4.3 I cannot select next "marginalia" frame, from a macro (at least, I
haven't figured out how to do this yet)) - so FOR ME, this is a significant bug
and estoppel to using LO for the documents I must work on.

(My experience in WordXP includes the creation, editing, modifying and
manipulating via macros, the sum total of over 10,000 of these "marginalia"
paragraphs in one particularly large document, and the ability to use cursor
movement between them and "normal paras", and having WordXP treat these
marginalia paras as "just normal paras" is a huge editing and efficiency win!
Oh, and also makes it possible to script certain types of changes in macros -
THAT's a deal breaker for me (i.e. bug stopping me from using LO).)

WordXP allows me to do a lot of things in macros, from fine tuning the
refernces in the marginalia, both content and style, whilst jumping back and
forth between the marginalia para and the subsequent or any other related para
(with the marginalia para being a "ref" or "numbered reference" to its
associated subsequent para).

This is very common in legal documents. My (volunteer) job at the moment is to
convert 10,000 of these marginalia paras into LibreOffice if possible, and move
all our association's documents to LibreOffice while I'm at it - IF possible.

When I look at the XML of the LO document in bug #101753, the marginalia paras
(at least, so far as they are imported from a .doc 2003 document) are sequenced
in between the other paras - so the logical text flow exists, what is needed is
really only the final UI tweak of allowing RIGHT and LEFT arrow to --include--
the marginalia (framed) paras. This should be easy since DELETE now works to
delete objects other than "normal paras" - see bug #62071 .

Basically, when a framed (marginalia) para is anchored to another para, it
should be considered to be in sequence logically immediately prior to the para
to which it is anchored (or similarly, to exist logically, for the purposes of
cursor movement, between the previous and subsequent paras).

The question becomes what to do in cursor movement and text logical sequencing,
when fra

If you can create a reproducible situation, that would help of course, for
example:

when LO says "recovering" - what is it recovering (I'm a bit of a newbie)? if
there are temp files that constitute the "pre-recovery" files from which LO
recovers, and you can copy those (save them outside of LO's reach for example)
and therefore "repeatedly and consistently recreate" the "failure to recover
this large file", that would of course be very useful.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98560] The followed template "Feature"

2016-08-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98560

(Sorry if this comment appears twice - I tried replying to last comment as CC
email to me, hasn't turned up here...)

> Does this clarify the problem?

Yes thank you.

Specifically, I think I've been able to recreate your problem in a test
document - please tell me if this clearly describes your problem - I have tried
to create a document with 3 different page styles, one for first page, one for
pages 2 to 5, one for page 6 (and therefore subsequent pages):

I too cannot solve this problem. See attachment ODT above "page styles test
document demonstrating problem - FirstPage, Pages2To5, Pages6Plus (9.68 KB"

The attached example ODT file which demonstrates the problem:

 - there are 6 pages
 - each page is separated with a manual page break - CTRL+ENTER

 - page 1 has FirstPage page style - good

 - pages 2, 3, 4, 5 have Pages2to5 page style - good

 - page 6 at the moment has Pages2to5 page style

Now for the fun part - we want to apply page style called "Pages6Plus"
to page 6, but KEEP the page styles attached to pages 1 to 5.

When cursor is on page 6, and I show the page styles side bar, and I
then double click on page style "Pages6Plus", page 6 gets that new page
style, BUT, so do all of pages 1 to 5 as well!

This is definitely problematic.

If there is a hidden gui for applying page style Pages6Plus to page 6,
and KEEPING all the earlier page styles in tact (pages 1 to 5) we need
to know what that is, and it needs to be more obvious to the user (for
example, double clicking a page style, should apply that style to the
current page, regardless of the "style for next page" setting of the
previous page.

Otherwise, how are we supposed to apply a page style to say 350 pages?
(this is about to be a real example for me!) FOLLOWED by a DIFFERENT
page style for the SUBSEQUENT 650 pages!! - surely we are not supposed
to go to every page, and double click the same page style, over and over
again?!! That would be madness.

2016-08-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101763

Bug ID: 101763
Summary: All previous documents became "read only" and I could
not unlock them.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bill1...@iinet.net.au

AFter updating from LibreOffice 5.1.4.2 to 5.1.5.2, all documents previously
created became READ ONLY and I could not unlock them. I tried to save a
document with a new name and I was told I did not have permission to save to my
normal folders in Windows. I tried opening and saving the same documents in MS
Word 2010 and Word Perfect X6 and there was no problem. I have WP and MS Word
but I mostly prefer Libre Office because of the flexibility in switching
between English and German. I uninstalled LibreOffice 5.1.5.2 and reinstalled
5.1.4.2 and the problem disappeared. The only difference in my installation of
the newer build of LibreOffice was that I opted to let LibreOffice start when
Window (8.1) opened. When I reinstalled 5.1.4.2, I did not opt to open Libre
Office when Windows started.

When one document is open and I open a second document, the document will not
show any keystrokes. After I click on any icon on the toolbar, the document
responds normally to key strokes.
I updated from LibreOffice 5.1.4.2 to 5.1.5.2 and the same fault was there.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101761] New: Signature Generation Failed - PDF Export Aborted

2016-08-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101761

Bug ID: 101761
Summary: Signature Generation Failed - PDF Export Aborted
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Printing and PDF export
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lesb...@lesbell.com.au

Exporting a Libre Office Impress presentation to a signed PDF is failing with
the error dialog, "Problems During PDF Export". The problem listed is
"Signature generation failed".

The OS is Windows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.10586. This was the first attempt to
export a signed PDF since upgrading from Windows 7. No change in the installed
version of Libre Office, and previous exports have all worked successfully.

I have used the Windows 10 mmc snap-in to confirm that the certificate is
accessible in the Windows certificate store. The certificate is the same Comodo
personal X.509 certificate that was previously used successfully.

I have confirmed the bug also appears in Libre Office Writer.

Hello vtrust, *,
have you reported this bug to https://bugs.manjaro.org/ as well? I seem not to
find any entry for LO there ... :(

Anyway:I cannot confirm your bug with

OS: Debian Testing AMD64
LO: Version: 5.2.0.4
Build-ID: 1:5.2.0-2
CPU-Threads: 4; BS-Version: Linux 4.5; UI-Render: GL;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8)

nor with

OS: Manjaro 16.06 (KDE edition) x86
LO: Version: 5.1.5-2
Build ID 5.1.5-2 Arch Linux build 3
CPU Threads: 2, OS Version: Linux 4.4, UI Render: default
Locale: de_DE (de_DE_UTF-8), Calc: group

, sorry ... :( Are you really seeing this bug in the Basic IDE or in general?
Than you should change the component to "LibreOffice" instead of "BASIC" ... ;)

And would you do me a pleasure and

1. Close all instances of LO (QuickStart tray icon, any module which may be
open)
2. Rename your profile (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resolving_corruption_in_the_user_profile
for further instructions)
3. Test it again, please?

Does this solve your problem? If not, it would be nice to start LO from command
line ("soffice") and see, if there is something suspicious in its output ... ;)
HTH
Thomas.

Hello bugcatcher, *,
thank you for reporting this bug :) I can confirm it with

OS: Debian Testing AMD64
LO: Version: 5.2.0.4
Build-ID: 1:5.2.0-2
CPU-Threads: 4; BS-Version: Linux 4.5; UI-Render: GL;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8)
(Debian's own version)

but also back to

OOo: OpenOffice.org 3.2.0
OOO320m12 (Build:9483
(parallel installed, following the instructions from
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux)

so I am setting status to "New" and version to "Inherited from OOo", as this
bug is also reproducible with the above mentioned OOo version. I would prefer
to see your suggestion no.5 as an error message ... ;)
HTH
Thomas.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99018] FILESAVE: Saving a big document (about 1500 pages) in Writer lasts too long time or hangs

2016-08-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Something was done because I had really serious troubles with saving my Writer
document and I was forced to kill the process because LO was completely blocked
up. I lost my data many times. Now it works as should: fast and without hanging
up.
