You're right that this seems to be the best place to deal with this potential
issue. I wouldn't combine the two conditions, though, if somehow the first is
true (so rGraphic != this.maGraphic), but the second is false (so rLink ==
this.maLink, or rather  == ), the bug is still triggered.

This might never happen with the current surrounding code, but can it be ruled
out completely?

Description:
I imported a dotx file to open in Libreoffice. The header, footer and page
numbers did appear well.

Also, the headings did appear well, but the table style were not taken from the
template.

The existing table did appear will all formatting though.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a MS Word Template File with Table Styles defined in it
2. Try to insert a new table
3. The table styles are not honored.

Actual Results:  
Table styles not honored.

Expected Results:
Table styles should have been honored.


Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Also, the date macro showed blank, and when exported to PDF, it gave an
editable field in the blank space.

When I tried to set the date manually, the calendar did appear and I was able
to choose a date, but when exported to PDF, the width cut down the year from
date.

regression itself, bug 76878.

Can you verify by going back to the commit corresponding to source hash
20dee85b6390ef3edc5434889523cd9fd0137bae in the bibisect repo, and comparing
results with the preceding commit's? Please remove regression-related keywords
if that's the case.

I believe Microsoft has tampered with my Libre Office word documents. Previous
letters on my desktop are not able to be opened saying "does not exist." When I
try to type new documents using LibreOffice the font is so tiny (yes, I have
attempted to change the font to the highest levels) that it is almost
impossible to write anymore. Constantly, I am receiving reminders from
Microsoft stating that I am using an illegal document. 

  I downloaded a new version of LibreOffice with no success toward overcoming
these problems.

  I wish I could delete all Microsoft windows from my computer, but I am not
that tech savvy.

There are 2892 drawing layer objects on that sheet. Lines of effectively one
dot in size, all in column 3, distributed over rows 6 (482), 8 (482), 30 (964)
and 32 (964), all as hidden lines with no fill (actually could originate from
clearpixels copied from HTML?). When deleting, 8682 registered listeners (mixed
edit, object remove and a11y listeners) are (possibly multiple times) notified
due to position and rectangle recalculations. Almost all time is spent in
ScDrawLayer::SetPageSize() for all ScDrawLayer::RecalcPos() calls.

Not sure if there can be done anything about that with this massive abuse,
maybe some notifications can be suppressed and some "this dot does not change"
special handling for such pathological case.

Hi all,

In attachment 57526, there's no rendering issue.
Text frames have a reduced area which do not allow the same layout than before.
Spacings with content are the real cause of that. See Bug 104612.

which is LO release where this defect is not existing.

The real cause is to find into spacing with content in text frame. For some
reason, all spacing were kept to 11 mm, without border. Before, without border,
it seems tpo me that spacings were set to 0 mm before saving. They are not
greyed now, so area is reduced. 
By setting spacings to 0 mm, you get again the same layout.

For some reason, when the animated GIF is refreshing canvas in Writer there is
a recurring opening, read, and closing of every directory and zip'd archive in
the share\config directory.

The same animated GIF inserted to Impress canvas does not exhibit repetitive
share\config directory access and Disk I/O for LibreOffice PID is negligible.

On pc Debian testing x86-64 with LO Debian package 5.2.3.3, I don't reproduce
this.

At step 5, "Next" button is disabled, there's only "Finish" button enabled.
Also, checking or unchecking "Align" checkbox doesn't make LO crash for me.
I also tested to put a letter on negative number. In first case, when clicking
then on another part, it puts back the former value, in second case, it puts
value 0.

Did I miss something?

So the Zoom In (.uno:ZoomPlus) and Zoom Out (.uno:ZoomMinus) commands dont
function in Writer and Calc when in Normal mode but work in print preview mode,

Make a new separate section for Views, and instead insert it between Table and

Next, because the only feature I can see that a Query has over a View, is that
it seems to remember the physical layout (xy positions) of the underlying
table's relationships, can this one feature then be merged into a View?  (Am I
missing something, or is this the only difference between the two?)

In other words, can the physical xy position of the table's relationships be
somehow saved in Views, because as it is, it forgets this information and makes
a mess out of my connected tables when I reopen a view.


And then later depreciate Queries, because a View can do everything a Query can
and more, so we get:

  Tables, Views, Forms, Reports, ..


This breaks from Access, but might straighten things up a bit, and remain more
compatible with other things.

BASIC runtime function names are not translated. BASIC TimeValue() is named
TimeValue() in any UI language. You're quite on the safe side if you prefix
your own function names, for example my_timevalue().

It appears to me that in Access a Query might actually be an underlying View.

I'm frustrated because although LO Base at first looks a lot like Access, so

Tested on another Win10 x64 image available (HP laptop factory Win10 Pro image)
and TOC creation worked for an unprivileged user.  My original additions to
this bug where on HP hardware but the Win images where built from MS System
Builder install (Win 8.1) or the MS Win10 migration from that, so not typical
consumer images supplied with hardware by manufacturers.  Still smells like a
permissions issue that in turn reveals some failed or non-existent error
recovery in the code.  So, need instruction for LO builtin diag or a
recommendation for a tool to capture LO process state and/or stack dump while
it is spinning or use the Win Task Manager Dump File function to post something
to Bugzilla for interpretation.

xhundhausen selected "Other CMIS", Alex Thurgood selected "Google Drive". I
think, if I wanted to connect to Google Drive, I'd select Google Drive, not
Other CMIS. But unfortunately Google Drive support is not configured in
LibreOffice Vanilla, so it is not in the list, cannot be selected, and no
wonder, that Google Drive connection does not work. I don't remember what the
rationale was, that we did not configure Google Drive support for LibreOffice
Vanilla...

We need to use the API key, probably Collabora's API key.

Description:
CTRL+super+up makes the window disappear. All other apps will maximise the
window when using this shortcut combination. The other shortcuts work OK. For
example, CTRL+Super+left makes the window take up the left half of the screen.
Similarly for CTRL+Super+right.

It's useful for when you want to switch from maximise to half screen (to show
two documents on the screen) and back again. Also for if the program starts not
maximised.

The solution so far is to double click the title bar or click the Maximise icon
in the corner but that is slow and cumbersome.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have window not maximised
2. Press key combination CTRL + Super + up
3.

Actual Results:  
Window disappears.

Expected Results:
Window should be maximised.


Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Operating system is Ubuntu 16.10 but this bug has always been present.

"View" is not a LibreOffice concept, but a concept of the underlying database
engine. LibreOffice shows as view the views created in the database, just like
it shows as tables the tables created in the database.

Hence the data shown by a view (as opposed to the view definition itself) can
only be edited from LibreOffice if the that is possible in the underlying
database. That is, if "v_foo" is the name of a view, statements such as:

 UPDATE v_foo SET column=value WHERE condition;
 DELETE FROM v_foo WHERE condition;
 INSERT INTO v_foo (column1, column2, column3) VALUES (value1, value2, value3);

must be allowed by the database engine.

Plus LibreOffice needs to detect a primary key, so as to be able to construct
the "condition" part. That might be a blocker.

The last entry is it. If I change to LO dialog, it shows me also without

I have a new simpler suggestion to resolve and clarify this, given what is
currently in place.


Make a new section for Views, and organize things like this: 

  Tables, Queries, Views, Forms, Reports, ..


This will keep the concept of LO Views unchanged, as it is now.

But it will make it clear that Views are not tables.

It will also make it clear that Views are not queries. 


And it suggest that Views are more capable than LO queries, which they are.  

And it might suggest, as is the case, that views are based on queries, (like
they appear to be, as far as I can see.)


Although LibreOffice Base, looks very similar to MS Access on the surface, in
fact this is misleading because the very concept of a Query in Base is quite
different from a Query in Access.  To Access converts this is problematic.

Here is an Acccess / LO Base comparison of terms & features:


 editable?   formattable (e.g. centered, and renamed foo)?

It's too bad that LO and Access came to use the word Query so differently.  I
can see why LO did this, to try to get back to a simpler view of a query based
on a SQL query, where Access expanded a Query to also make it transparently
editable.

I like what Access did much better than what LO did.  And it's too late to give
a LO query a new name to unify this.  So the best I think we can do is clarify
what a view is and how it contrasts with a LO query.


(I am new to Base and struggling to understand it, and so I hope my facts as
stated above are correct.)

To elaborate: it only appears that Publisher 98 (and older) documents are
supported. This is because the physical structure (OLE2 container, name of the
"main" file, format of records) of a Publisher file hasn't changed since v.2
(probably since v.1), but the logical structure (i.e., where things like text,
shapes etc. are) has changed several times. That means that the parser can read
the top level structure of a document, but some (most) parts of it are lost,
because they are not where the parser expects them.

Marking as WONTFIX since the user needs to do some tweaking regardless, and no
information is lost. It seems better to me to leave the page size as a REAL
paper size rather than some custom thing.  And since Draw simply can only
handle one paper size anyway, it is impossible to import with both original
paper sizes.

If others strongly disagree with this, then they can lobby for submitting the
patch in comment 8.

It opens fine in MSO2013 - yet, some of the charts and images are missing. You
don't need MSO to note this, though: LibO displays the DOCX with the missing
objects as well.

I wouldn't trust Word Viewer to deal with DOCXes correctly. I've noticed
weirdness with it myself.

patch the choses the largest dimensions for the page size

I noticed that none of the imported text is invisible, it simply spills off the
end of the page.  However, it is easy enough for the user to simply edit the
paper size to make it big enough to fit everything, so it isn't very important
for the program itself to select an awkward paper size.

Attached is a patch that does just that however.

It seems to me this one is caused be reading the font file over and over again,
when zooming in/or out. I have added the Process Monitor Output.
