It makes use of plain text to render and produce rich documents. Pandoc can convert from ODT to Org (http://pandoc.org/MANUAL.html). Many people are not comfortable with Emacs and prefer to use LibreOffice. * Current behaviour Currently, there is no way to save a document from LibreOffice in Org format. One needs to use Pandoc or something similar. * Desired behaviour It would be nice if LibreOffice could produce documents directly to Org (with tables, media and tables), and possibly import Org as well (with bibliographic and intertext references, tables and pictures). * Further information There are tools which are used to convert from LaTeX (Org can render LaTeX natively) to MathML (MathToWeb, LaTeXML, Pandoc). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117708] New: Expose exporting as SVG slideshow as a separate menu option (or similar)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117708 Bug ID: 117708 Summary: Expose exporting as SVG slideshow as a separate menu option (or similar) Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Keywords: needsUXEval Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu CC: libreoffice-ux-adv...@lists.freedesktop.org Blocks: 99825 Impress is able to create an SVG slideshow from a presentation that can be shown eg. in a browser (so it's portable). SVGs can be expored via File -> Export..., but normally only the current/selected sheets are exported. The way to export the whole slideshow is to first select all the slides, and then save it via File -> Export... It would be nice if there was a separate menu item for this, similar to Export as PDF..., the difficulty is that naming it Export as SVG... would be confusing (compared to the current way to export SVGs of slides, which works as described above). Another suggestion for the name: Export as SVG Slideshow... Note that no options are need for the export, a file picker is enough. Actually, maybe it would be enough to add a separete entry in the Export... file picker, ie. SVG Slideshow alongside the current SVG - Scalable Vector Graphics entry? (the extension would be SVG(Z) in both cases, which might also be a bit confusing) UX team, what's your opinion? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50421] UI: "Check for Updates" menu leads to an unusable dialog ( shows "%PERCENT%")
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50421 --- Comment #55 from skierpage --- As I mention in the duplicate bug 117699, this happened to me after I updated from 6.0.2 to 6.0.4 on Windows 10. Same as comment 32, during 6.0.4.2 setup I specified not to start LibreOffice at startup. I ran LibreOffice "hub" (not Writer, Calc, etc.), immediately Help > Check for Updates, and got the garbled dialog; thereafter it worked in all the applications. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106463] Data Records Not Saved to External Firebird Database File
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106463 Terrence Enger changed: What|Removed |Added CC||drewjensen.in...@gmail.com --- Comment #11 from Terrence Enger --- Thank you, Drew, for your attention. In other bug reports, IIRC, I have seen some questioning of whether data changes should be saved upon close-without-saving. I think we are caught between two strong and mutually contradictory expectations: (1) A user thinking of data entry into a database will expect changes to become permanent at the end of each transaction, for some meaning of transaction. If Base is linked to an external database, this is how we work. Right? (2) A user thinking of maintaining an office document will expect close-without-save to discard the whole session. I see no way to reconcile these expectations. That could (and did) potentially loop for a long time for very large objects, deep zoom or numerical problems. That loops were flattened, the results checked to be the same. Also added a test for numerical overflow for getting values from the Rectangle describing the object size. Despite these values being the result of erraneous import, I opt for checking and avoiding using these values. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99623] Copy-paste freezes LibreOffice when CLCL is running ( sysdtrans.dll!CMtaOleClipboard::getClipboard) - no steps
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99623 cpaterno...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|UNCONFIRMED Ever confirmed|1 |0 --- Comment #16 from cpaterno...@gmail.com --- Hello, I am another user of CLCL and this bug is driving me nuts too ! I am using CLCL 2.0.3 (official binary) on a Windows 7 64-bit SP1. For me the problem is systematic. Here's how it happens: - I have LibreOffice Writer opened, with a document I am working on - in another application, I copy some content (CTRL+C); it can be two lines of text of an image, the result is the same - when I switch to Writer to paste the content, it hangs before I even have a chance to do CTRL-V. The freeze can last from 15 seconds to 60 seconds - once it un-freezes, I can do CTRL-V and the content is pasted into the document Additional notes: - Writer does NOT crash - the freeze seems to start a couple of seconds after the copy operation (not at the exact second the copy was done) Let me know if you need additional information. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
