https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106609 --- Comment #14 from Stellamaxwell --- Both programs are way more than 98% of us need. Use whichever is easier in your case. Do take the trouble to save in MS Office format because can open MSO file but not the other way around and some folks don't know that DOC and XLS are not universal. If you are using very precise formatting and need to save as ODT or ODS be sure others can read your documents. https://www.courseworkempire.co.uk/buy-coursework -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119487] Crash when selecting menu Tools > Options > Internet > MediaWiki
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119487 --- Comment #1 from Jennifer Cormier --- This may be related to the underlying issue described in Bug 108619. I discovered that if in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Advanced, I disable option "Use a Java runtime environment", then selecting MediaWiki does not cause a crash. Instead there is a pop-up window titled "Enable JRE?" that says, "LibreOffice requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. However, use of a JRE has been disabled. Do you want to enable the use of a JRE now?" When one says, "No" or "Cancel", then the MediaWiki options are entirely blank, and the pop-up does not return. HOWEVER, if one then does "Help > Restart in Safe Mode...", that (LibreOffice Safe Mode) defaults to the JRE being enabled, so if one doesn't first disable it, then the crash occurs when selecting MediaWiki. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119490] New: Impress crashes system when put into full screen mode with HDMI connection
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119490 Bug ID: 119490 Summary: Impress crashes system when put into full screen mode with HDMI connection Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.6.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: richardinboul...@gmail.com Description: When I press F5 or click "Start from first Slide" to start a slide show, my entire system crashes (freezes). This seems to happen only when my laptop is connected to a projector with an HDMI connection. I can enter slide show mode without problems when the laptop is not connected to a projector. I estimate that the problem happens over 50% of the times that I start a slide show. The freeze happens immediately upon pressing F5 or clicking the "Start from first Slide" icon. I can project other applications and the Ubuntu desktop just fine via the HDMI connection. I don't have access to a VGA connection to test whether HDMI is the only connection method causing the crash. This problem seems to have started with version 6.06, as I've been using Impress for years on the same laptop with HDMI without problems. Thanks for otherwise awesome FOSS software. I use Impress daily and am grateful to devs for maintaining it. LibreOffice 6.0.6.2 running on Ubuntu 18.04. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Impress 2. Open an odp file 3. Plug in HDMI into laptop 4. Press F5 or click corresponding icon Actual Results: System freezes immediately. Screen stays on, but no mouse movement or keyboard activity takes place. Expected Results: Full screen slide show Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: I am reluctant to upgrade to 6.1, but if the issue was fixed by 6.1, I can give it a try. A work-around seems to be to wait to plug the HDMI cord into the laptop until AFTER Impress is in full-screen presentation mode. I infer from your response that my question was poorly worded or that you were somehow displeased by it. IF either is the case THEN I apologize and will endeavor to be clearer in the future. I did not ask why this bug has not been fixed. I did not ask when it would be fixed. I asked about the process. Specifically, since you have confirmed it is a bug, even see it often, - When might the status be updated to reflect your observation? - Is the next status ASSIGNED? - When might that occur? IF this bug has been resolved in a later version, THEN is that version considered ready and recommended for wide utilization? AND which version is it? Most of the time it turns out that only the SEARCH function needs RegEx support to get a value, while the VLOOKUPs just search for that found value. Providing a REGEXSEARCH function, as done by Google Docs' REGEXEXTRACT [1], would help to keep the performance hit low, as RegEx would only be used when necessary. THis would also avoid additional escaping in VLOOKUPs. Thus we have no idea, if you are referring to the > old help in a version older than 6.1. > In the new HTML help, the Index filter definitely filters with incomplete > strings. Hi! I reinstalled the help (the new version in HTML) and it works better but it does not always get the results well. I tried to find "mínimo", "máximo", "minimo" and "maximo" and the accented ones obtain different results ("mínimo" includes "minimum" between the results but "minimo" does not bring it) If you can not find an error, I honestly do not know what I can do because downloading the file again and reinstalling it has not worked. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114857] EDITING Can't see cursor when background is dark/black
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114857 --- Comment #8 from bunkem --- I don't agree that this is an enhancement. While I can see the logic behind this category, that is to say it doesn't cause LO to crash, it still makes Impress nearly unfunctional when working with presentations that have dark backgrounds. This is a small item but big from a marketing & usability standpoint. The transition to LO from other products should be easy and in particular there shouldn't be anything cosmetic that causes people to switch back because the product is unusable in certain use cases. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
