I have tried all the same steps on:

1. LibreOffice:
- Version: 6.1.2.1 (x64)
- Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha1+ (x64)

On both versions on the same zoom size(75), I got the same bug as reported.
However, i think this is not a bug, it is because of the accuracy of the
minimum and maximum zoom with the red sign of comment.

Version: 6.1.2.1 (x64)

This is the correct behaviour:
- the disket icon is black when there is NO change in the file, the file was
not modified
- the discket has a red star when something was modified in the file, idicating
that you must save your work in order to keep it.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121363] New: Support checking out/in files on SharePoint

2018-11-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121363

Bug ID: 121363
Summary: Support checking out/in files on SharePoint
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: filters and storage
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu
Blocks: 121362

SharePoint allows checking out files so no one else is allowed to edit it at
the same time:
https://support.office.com/en-us/article/check-out-check-in-or-discard-changes-to-files-in-a-library-7e2c12a9-a874-4393-9511-1378a700f6de

MS Office supports this function inside the applications:
https://support.office.com/en-us/article/check-out-a-file-located-on-sharepoint-86f3e2be-53a0-4de3-b58c-7a085ec5d824

It would be nice to add this set of functionalities to LibreOffice.
I'm not sure what all the related functions and respective UI parts would be,
this requires further evaluation.

It is not easy to understand the reported bug but here there is what i tried
and the result i got.
please describe this bug clearly.

Here is what i did:

1. I opened a new Writer file using LibreOffice 6.1.3.2.

 - Before writing any content "SAVE" icon was still active.
 - When I added text in Writer, I clicked the Close file without Saving,
and
message pop up came asking if I want to close without saving or if i
want to close.
 - When I chose Close without saving, The file disappeared of course i
didn't save it.

2. I opened again a new writer and add a text "Hello QA Team":
- I clicked on Save and the Wizard to choose the location and the file name
appeared then file was saved.
- Then I closed the file.
- I reopened the file, and added another text then I clicked on close
the file, after I received a pop up message asking me whether i want
close without saving the changes or not. I chose YES. then the file were
closed but the added message was not visible. of course its true because I
chose "YES" to close without saving the changes
3. I reopened the file and add again a new text and the click on "SAVE" icon
then i close the file and it was working properly.

NB: On "SAVE" icon, when there is an unsaved contents there is a small yellow
dot on the Icon.

Please check on the attached pictures.

with WebDAV, but that's not obvious, and I don't even know if it's always the
case.

In 3.6.0.4 the comment is anchored to the starting point, not to the full word,
this changed with 4.0.0.3, and the bug was also introduced in that version.

Could you elaborate what is command aliases feature? Does we have any

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 95549] FILEOPEN - XLSM opens very slowly

2018-11-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Created attachment 146544
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=146544=edit
set of test files from OP

Steve sent the attached test files via PM with this note... zipped them up and
attached. I do have issues opening the .DOCX OOXML files with Word 2016--the
document does not open. The .DOC version opens, and saving the .DOCX from LO
6.1.3.2 to .ODT, the ODT opens in Word 2016. -- Stuart

I’ve spent the afternoon 11/11/2018 trying to better understand the
problem of creating and reading docx and doc files in various versions of
LibreOffice. I was never able to find a file or folder labeled User Profile by
searching using %APPDATA%\libreoffice\4\user. I did; however, find the
LibreOffice folder in Users\\Steve Cochran\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice. I
manually searched all of the sub-folders and never found a folder or file named
User Profile. So after I uninstalled each version I manually deleted the
LibreOffice folder in AppData to insure each new installation was clean.

I then created short docx and doc test files with each version and fed them to
MS Word to see if they would open or could be read. I tried 5.1.0.3 (64 bit);
5.1.3.2 (32 bit); 5.4.2.2 (64 bit); 6.1.3.2 (64 bit)
Test file names are in the form LibreOffice 5-1-0-3 64 Bit docx test file.docx
or LibreOffice 5-1-0-3 64 Bit doc test file.doc

Here are the MS Word compatibility Results:
5.1.0.3 (64 Bit) doc: OK font Helvetica
5.1.0.3 (64 Bit) docx: failed no blank pages, just wouldn’t load at all
5.1.3.2 (32 Bit) doc: OK font Helvetica
5.1.3.2 (32 Bit) docx: OK font Helvetica
* 5..4.3.2 (64 Bit) doc: OK font Liberation Serif
* I prefer Helvetica as a font, but when I tried to change it from Liberation
Serif to Helvetica
the page went blank. I suspect that Helvetica is not a registered font in
version 5.4 – 6.1
5..4.3.2 (64 Bit) docx: OK font Liberation Serif
* 6.1.3.2 (64 Bit) doc: OK font Liberation Serif
* Again Helvetica produces a blank page of an unregistered font
6.1.3.2 (64 Bit) docx: OK font Liberation Serif

Next, I tried backward compatibility by trying to open my test files with ver.
6.1.3.2 (64 Bit) with results shown below:
5.1.0.3 (64 Bit) doc: showed as a blank page with the font as Helvetica
5.1.0.3 (64 Bit) docx: showed as a blank page with the font as Helvetica
5.1.3.2 (32 Bit) doc: showed as a blank page with the font as Helvetica
5.1.3.2 (32 Bit) docx: showed as a blank page with the font as Helvetica
5.4.2.2 (64 Bit) doc: OK with the font as Liberation Serif
5.4.2.2 (64 Bit) docx: OK with the font as Liberation Serif
6.1.3.2 (64 Bit) doc: OK with the font as Liberation Serif
6.1.3.2 (64 Bit) docx: OK with the font as Liberation Serif

I also tried resetting the User Profile through the Help menu in ver. 6.1, but
with no change in any result. I wanted to post all of my short test files on
Bugzilla, but it wouldn’t accept multiples and in the process I also lost the
test description above.

I guess you have gtk 3.24 in your system? There is also a similar report for
Fedora (put in 'See Also'), but actually I think it's an upstream gtk bug
tracked in https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/issues/1371. At least the
gtk-3-24 patch which linked there, fixes for me an identical problem under
Openbox.

GPUs with marginal driver support can be, and should be, Blacklisted--and users
unhappy with OpenGL support in their UI are welcome to disable the support.

To that end anyone claiming poor OpenGL performance does need to provide GPU
and driver details...

Otherwise => WF, OpenGL enabled for Windows builds is appropriate, disabling it
(beyond Blacklist provisions) is IMHO counterproductive.

Right, depending on the selected output format, checkbox should get disabled,
like it's currently happening for the password checkbox already.

It seems LibreOffice is unable to discover a working gpg setup on your machine.
To further troubleshoot this, it would be easiest if you could install a
debug-enabled version, e.g. from here:

https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Linux-rpm_deb-x86@87-TDF-dbg/current/

Then run it from a terminal, with the following environment variable set:

export SAL_LOG="+WARN.+INFO.xmlsecurity"

and provide a link to the output (please review for potential private
information, the log can be quite verbose).

The remaining part (confusingly gpg encrypt is enabled) is duplicate to bug
121140.

The fact that passwords for GPG keys are cached for a while is a feature of the
gpg agent, and can be configured there (default is something like 10 minutes).

2018-11-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon

I installed the the Recordset to the /home/user/.config/libreoffice/4/user
folder and restarted LO Base.

The following code was tested before the patch to confirm the same overflow
error. Running the same function after the patch crashes immediately after k =
32767 with the same error.

Sub test(v As Double)
Dim rec As Object, k As Long

Do
k = k + 1
If k Mod 1 = 0 or k Mod 32767 = 0 Then
If msgbox("k = " & k, 1) = 2 Then
Exit Do
End If
End If
rec = CurrentDb().OpenRecordset("configurations")
rec.mClose
Loop
CurrentDb().CloseAllRecordsets()
End Sub

Stepping into CloseAllRecordsets() in Access2Base.Database the
RecordsetsColl.Count equals 0 and exits in the second If/Then below without
clearing the RecordsetMax variable which overflowed.

Public Sub CloseAllRecordsets()
' Clean all recordsets for housekeeping

Dim sRecordsets() As String, i As Integer, oRecordset As Object
On Local Error Goto Exit_Sub

If IsNull(RecordsetsColl) Then Exit Sub
If RecordsetsColl.Count < 1 Then Exit Sub

Bug ID: 121360
Summary: Unfilled shape becomes mistakenly filled
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha1+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: regression
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de

Start Draw and open the "Styles" pane of the sidebar.
Enter an unfilled circle from the toolbar "Legacy Circles and Ovals".
Notice, that the circle has got the style "Object without fill".

Error: The circle is filled.

Save the file and examine it.

1. The circle has got an automatic style without any need. The cicle has got no
direct formatting. The assigned style "Object without fill" could be used
directly.
2. The automatic style has got the attribute draw:fill="solid".

Start Draw and open the "Styles" pane of the sidebar.
Enter an unfilled circle from the toolbar "Legacy Circles and Ovals".
Notice, that the circle has got the style "Object without fill". Use Format >
Clear Direct Formatting. Double-click style "Object without fill" to be sure it
is assigned. Notice, the circle is still filled. Save file and examine it.

3. Now the circle has indeed the style "Object without fill". The style "Object
without fill" should have the attribute draw:fill="none" but it has not got the
attribute draw:fill at all. Therefore the attribute value of its parent style
is used. But that is style "Standard", which has draw:fill="solid".

I see the error in Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha1+ (x64)
Build ID: bf4fc97131147d25b18d088023262c977f0b2787

It is visually OK in Version: 6.1.0.3 (x64)

CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default;

LO6.1 has the error two, that an automatic style is used, but that has at least
draw:fill="none", and the style "Object without fill" has draw:fill="none" too.

Confirmed with Ubuntu 18.04, LO 6.2Alpha1

There was an earlier issue, now closed I believe, which dealt only with column
names during the create table statements.

The create fk statement is malformed when a column name includes special
characters. In this case the column name "Denominación" ends up as
"Denominaci\u00f3n" which of course fails.

Just for clarification: in LO5 the icon itself changes if you save a document.
In LO6 there is al little dot, that disappears after saving. This dot remains?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121356] New: One CPU used at 100% with no document opened, until mouse passing over window

2018-11-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121356

Bug ID: 121356
Summary: One CPU used at 100% with no document opened, until
mouse passing over window
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mjul...@free.fr

Description:
When LibreOffice is launched but NOT being used, including when no document at
all is opened, one CPU core gets used at almost 100% after some time (approx. 1
minute), by the process "soffice.bin".

When I show the LibreOffice window (using the task bar on the window manager),
nothing changes. No change, either, when I move the mouse on the title bar
(File, Tools, Help), or on the left column (Open a file, Distant files, Recent
files,...).

However, whenever I move the mouse over any of the recent file icons, displayed
in the main part of the window when no document is opened, the CPU usage goes
to 0,0%. Moving the mouse over the gray area between the icons has no effect,
the CPU goes down only when the mouse is over an icon (icon displayed with a
bright frame and an "X" in the upper-right corner).

After a while (I measured a delay of 39 minutes, then a delay of 12 minutes: it
seems somewhat random), the CPU suddenly goes to 100% once again.

I just tested it on LibreOffice 6.1, but I observe a similar behavior on much
earlier versions, sure for 5.4, but probably it comes from much before.

I think it happens every time, but the delay is so long that it might be
difficult to tell for sure.

I tried to leave for hours, in case it would be due to some background work
such as indexing or compiling, but the CPU use stays at 100% even after several
hours.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch LibreOffice
2. Use Calc to do some work
3. Close all documents
4. Leave LibreOffice idle, take care not to move the mouse over its window
5. Wait for some time (1 hour is usually sufficient)
6. Type "top" (on Linux) and see that soffice.bin is using almost 100% of one
CPU

Actual Results:
soffice.bin: CPU use = 90% to 100%

Expected Results:
soffice.bin: CPU use = 0%

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Hmm, is this even a valid claim? It does not appear to be on Windows 10 with
Intel HD Graphics 620 (24.20.100.6229) and LO
Version: 6.1.3.2 (x64)
Build ID: 86daf60bf00efa86ad547e59e09d6bb77c699acb
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL;
Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: CL

While true that rendering mode has affected UI performance, e.g. see also bug
113347, Zoom of an empty calc sheet is not affected by rendering mode.

And font rendering with OpenGL vs. Default (CPU only, or HA) has received
additional refactoring for master/6.2

Simple test document of filling 500 rows of a sheet with random numbers zooms
smoothly with either Default rendering or OpenGL rendering.

And, as OpenGL is already disabled for GPUs by black list, or on functional
failure.

Disabling by default for all Windows builds is simply not merited.

IMHO => WF
