https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121354 Dieudonne Dukuzumuremyi changed: What|Removed |Added CC||shinji.en...@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from Dieudonne Dukuzumuremyi --- It is not easy to understand the reported bug but here there is what i tried and the result i got. please describe this bug clearly. Here is what i did: 1. I opened a new Writer file using LibreOffice 6.1.3.2. - Before writing any content "SAVE" icon was still active. - When I added text in Writer, I clicked the Close file without Saving, and message pop up came asking if I want to close without saving or if i want to close. - When I chose Close without saving, The file disappeared of course i didn't save it. 2. I opened again a new writer and add a text "Hello QA Team": - I clicked on Save and the Wizard to choose the location and the file name appeared then file was saved. - Then I closed the file. - I reopened the file, and added another text then I clicked on close the file, after I received a pop up message asking me whether i want close without saving the changes or not. I chose YES. then the file were closed but the added message was not visible. of course its true because I chose "YES" to close without saving the changes 3. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98244] RTL: Sidebar background color widget dont have icon on correct side
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98244 --- Comment #4 from QA Administrators --- ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121324] Writer 6.1 thru at least 5.4.4.2 cannot open docx files created by ver. 5.1 or MS Word
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121324 --- Comment #7 from V Stuart Foote --- Created attachment 146544 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=146544=edit set of test files from OP Steve sent the attached test files via PM with this note... zipped them up and attached. I do have issues opening the .DOCX OOXML files with Word 2016--the document does not open. The .DOC version opens, and saving the .DOCX from LO 6.1.3.2 to .ODT, the ODT opens in Word 2016. -- Stuart I’ve spent the afternoon 11/11/2018 trying to better understand the problem of creating and reading docx and doc files in various versions of LibreOffice. I was never able to find a file or folder labeled User Profile by searching using %APPDATA%\libreoffice\4\user. I did; however, find the LibreOffice folder in Users\\Steve Cochran\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice. I manually searched all of the sub-folders and never found a folder or file named User Profile. So after I uninstalled each version I manually deleted the LibreOffice folder in AppData to insure each new installation was clean. I then created short docx and doc test files with each version and fed them to MS Word to see if they would open or could be read. I tried 5.1.0.3 (64 bit); 5.1.3.2 (32 bit); 5.4.2.2 (64 bit); 6.1.3.2 (64 bit) Test file names are in the form LibreOffice 5-1-0-3 64 Bit docx test file.docx or LibreOffice 5-1-0-3 64 Bit doc test file.doc Here are the MS Word compatibility Results: 5.1.0.3 (64 Bit) doc: OK font Helvetica 5.1.0.3 (64 Bit) docx: failed no blank pages, just wouldn’t load at all 5.1.3.2 (32 Bit) doc: OK font Helvetica 5.1.3.2 (32 Bit) docx: OK font Helvetica * 5..4.3.2 (64 Bit) doc: OK font Liberation Serif * I prefer Helvetica as a font, but when I tried to change it from Liberation Serif to Helvetica the page went blank. I suspect that Helvetica is not a registered font in version 5.4 – 6.1 5..4.3.2 (64 Bit) docx: OK font Liberation Serif * 6.1.3.2 (64 Bit) doc: OK font Liberation Serif * Again Helvetica produces a blank page of an unregistered font 6.1.3.2 (64 Bit) docx: OK font Liberation Serif Next, I tried backward compatibility by trying to open my test files with ver. 6.1.3.2 (64 Bit) with results shown below: 5.1.0.3 (64 Bit) doc: showed as a blank page with the font as Helvetica 5.1.0.3 (64 Bit) docx: showed as a blank page with the font as Helvetica 5.1.3.2 (32 Bit) doc: showed as a blank page with the font as Helvetica 5.1.3.2 (32 Bit) docx: showed as a blank page with the font as Helvetica 5.4.2.2 (64 Bit) doc: OK with the font as Liberation Serif 5.4.2.2 (64 Bit) docx: OK with the font as Liberation Serif 6.1.3.2 (64 Bit) doc: OK with the font as Liberation Serif 6.1.3.2 (64 Bit) docx: OK with the font as Liberation Serif I also tried resetting the User Profile through the Help menu in ver. 6.1, but with no change in any result. I wanted to post all of my short test files on Bugzilla, but it wouldn’t accept multiples and in the process I also lost the test description above. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121356] New: One CPU used at 100% with no document opened, until mouse passing over window
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121356 Bug ID: 121356 Summary: One CPU used at 100% with no document opened, until mouse passing over window Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mjul...@free.fr Description: When LibreOffice is launched but NOT being used, including when no document at all is opened, one CPU core gets used at almost 100% after some time (approx. 1 minute), by the process "soffice.bin". When I show the LibreOffice window (using the task bar on the window manager), nothing changes. No change, either, when I move the mouse on the title bar (File, Tools, Help), or on the left column (Open a file, Distant files, Recent files,...). However, whenever I move the mouse over any of the recent file icons, displayed in the main part of the window when no document is opened, the CPU usage goes to 0,0%. Moving the mouse over the gray area between the icons has no effect, the CPU goes down only when the mouse is over an icon (icon displayed with a bright frame and an "X" in the upper-right corner). After a while (I measured a delay of 39 minutes, then a delay of 12 minutes: it seems somewhat random), the CPU suddenly goes to 100% once again. I just tested it on LibreOffice 6.1, but I observe a similar behavior on much earlier versions, sure for 5.4, but probably it comes from much before. I think it happens every time, but the delay is so long that it might be difficult to tell for sure. I tried to leave for hours, in case it would be due to some background work such as indexing or compiling, but the CPU use stays at 100% even after several hours. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch LibreOffice 2. Use Calc to do some work 3. Close all documents 4. Leave LibreOffice idle, take care not to move the mouse over its window 5. Wait for some time (1 hour is usually sufficient) 6.
