Please see the image attached above where you can see the errors in the Spanish
translation.
I am using Windows 10 Professional in Spanish, on a PC with 64-bit Intel Core
i3 processor.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127979] New: Spanish translation is missing in LO Draw 6.3.2.2, Spanish Version, View Menu> User Interface Sub-Menu> options: “Tabbed Compact” and “Contextual Single”

2019-10-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 127979
Summary: Spanish translation is missing in LO Draw 6.3.2.2,
Spanish Version, View Menu> User Interface Sub-Menu>
options: “Tabbed Compact” and “Contextual Single”
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: albac...@gmail.com

Description:
When I am using and testing LO Draw and LO Impress 6.3.2.2 in Spanish, I have
seen how the translation into Spanish of some of the options of the "User
Interface" Sub-Menu, in the "View" Menu, is missing. Those options are: "Tabbed
Compact" and "Contextual Single", which appear in English when they should
appear in Spanish.
This error also affects LO 6.2.7, Spanish version, Draw and Impress
applications.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice Draw 6.3.2.2, Spanish Version.
2. Click on the View Menu (in Spanish Menú "Ver")
3. Click on User Interface (in Spanish: "Interfaz de Usuario")

Actual Results:
The options “Tabbed Compact” and “Contextual Single” appear in English when
they should be in Spanish.

Expected Results:
You should put "En Pestañas, Compacta" instead of “Tabbed Compact”, and
put "Contextual Sencilla" instead of “Contextual Single”. This is how they are
correctly translated in LO Writer.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Spanish is my native language and I can assure you that the word "guión" in its
singular form goes with a marked accent, but in its plural form it must be
written without a marked accent (guiones).

Dear Yousuf Philips (jay) (retired),

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Dear Tales Tomaz,

- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Hi Xisco,

I installed the version you linked to, launched it and disabled OpenGL
rendering, restarted it and then the flickering was still happening.

I keep my distro (Fedora 30 Linux) evergreen and LO is up to 6.2.7.1 on that
distro, which is the version still offered at LibreOffice.org as only "slightly
older". I don't want to risk instability and have to roll back, but perhaps
someone else would like to test in 6.3.2 or a developer's version. Meanwhile,
I'll leave the status at needinfo.

In my opening post, I meant to take out the description as better covered in
the other sections (STR, actual, expected, etc.). My fault; sorry. I can't edit
the post.

Yes, this really looks like some recursion.

@Lars: Can you please try again with a daily build that has debug information?
A backtrace with such a version gives more helpful information.
(Installing debug symbols for Qt might also help, since most of the methods
shown in the backtrace are Qt-internal ones)
Such daily builds are available at [1] and it's possible to install those in
parallel to your existing LibreOffice version as described at [2].

The backtrace suggests that you're running Plasma on Wayland, is that correct?
What Qt version do you have?

The strange and unsettling world of Windows. The 'must have' update KB4524147
(for 1903) of 4th October is now 'optional' on 5th October. I've taken a new
recovery drive and backups, but will leave the optional update until pushed for
other updates (probably this Tuesday).

I have also made free partition space on the disks to install a linux flavour
(probably xubuntu 1804) if it comes to that. We only got this machine as a new
Windows-only system because we thought there might be more support from local
people if the wotsits hit the fan - could be a mistaken decision.

My printer driver was (and is) definitely up to date, so there are, or were,
other issues relating to the updates of 26 September.

I now have even less hair.

Thank you for your kind help. I have followed the process described in your

>start LibreOffice and select Help ▸ Restart in Safe Mode
>in the 'Enter Safe Mode' dialog select 'Restart'
>LibreOffice will restart and display the 'Safe Mode' dialog
>If the problem persists, you can exit the safe mode because the user
profile was not the cause of the problem.

This was the case for me (problem is still present in safe mode). So I have
changed the status from NEEDINFO' to 'UNCONFIRMED'.

Just for information : the image I copy-paste is a png format from Jupyter

The 'ch' and 'line' units are being picked up from Tools -> Options -> Language
Settings -> Languages when an entry is made in the Asian check box for 'Default
Languages for Documents'.

When unchecked use of 'Western' or 'CTL' locales will not offer those units in
the 'Indents and Spacing' tabs of either the Paragrah... dialog or the Styles
and Formatting deck of the Sidebar.

It was already like that for the 5.3.7 builds, so not sure how far back the
change enabling Asian 'Default languages for Documents' occurred.

(In reply to Aron Budea from comment #5)
> The point of self-referring the cell is that you only want to allow the
> entry of a specific type of data (ie. whole numbers, decimals etc.), but

> "Data" dropdown, so it can't be done in a different way AFAIK.

Trying once again with an explanation. If you set it to eg. whole number this
way, only a whole number can be entered in the cell. It's a way to only allow
certain type of data to be entered, without having to specify further,
unnecessary restrictions.

not suitable API object
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.1.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: BASIC
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bso...@gmail.com

Created attachment 154768

File to Demonstrate problem with Basic Macro to Solve to target

It is possible to call Solver from a macro program and solve for a maximum (and
I think minimum) but there is no object one can set such as there is for
"solv.maximise = true"  I would expect something such as "solve.target =
dTarget" I have checked the documentation and forums and used xray and got the
list at the end but nothing indicates that a target can be set.

Calling solver with the uno does not allow presetting any values so is also not
useful.

The examples are shown in the file HelloSheet3.ods

I have no real objection to reverting the labeling to 'Non-printing
Characters', but don't see much benefit either. Was commenting on why it was
done when Jay was reworking menu/GUI items.

My real hope is that suggestions of bug 58434 get picked up to make the
.uno:ControlCodes command more meaningful.

--- Comment #61 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk ---
I'm sure it's not an LO bug, but I cannot yet be sure this problems has gone
away for me. I am puzzled about printer driver versions, since I haven't
changed that for at least several months, and it's the same on all my systems.
But only one system repeatedly failed just opening odt and ods files.

I am at something of a loss as to know what to do.

I also have an 8270 printer. Windows says it's up to date, but it is dated
29/5/17, version 20 79 16692. The install files from HP are dated mid 2018.

I haven't been printing anything. Can an old HP driver still cause problems
even if not printing? I will check it.

I'm really wary of updating the failing system. Recovering to a working version
takes me a long and tricky time.

Same bug here (debian stable, LO from bakports repo) with the last backported
version of LO :

Version: 6.3.2.2
Build ID: 1:6.3.2-1~bpo10+1
CPU threads: 2; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2;
Locale: fr-BE (en_US.utf8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

Create an empty doc with the words "Le frwt va frwt bien frwt oui.", ignore all
will freeze LO eather for english or french spellchecking.

I have also some problems with french spellchecking (extension grammalecte,
last version, 1.5.0, but former ones are also buging) on a long text (350 p.),
it will freeze easily on "correct", I must "ignore" and correcting directly in
the text.

Sorry I can't reproduce de issue, to do it I need to drop internet connection.
I didn't find any option in the configuration to set up it.

IMHO increase the time could affect e.g. loading files with no available source
at the opening time.

I think would be fine an option next to the time reload to keep actual data
when the link no available.
