[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141277] blank menus and other UI issues, recent master builds nVidia GPU
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141277 --- Comment #21 from Matt K --- I did more testing and found that it may be a bug in Windows. When I changed Windows OS Settings->Display->Scale and Layout->setting anything above 100% causes the bug to not repro AND after setting to a value higher than 100%, Windows caches some values and resetting back to 100% did not repro anymore. I had to uninstall the driver, and reinstall the driver for the issue to repro again, and do not modify any Windows OS settings (leave scaling at default 100%). So, in your testing, you may have some Windows cached value and need to uninstall the graphics driver first. That said, I updated my repo to latest on master again and the bug seems to not repro on recent builds (~april 2), but there were previously over 2 weeks of changes where the issue was reproing. I will try to isolate the change where the behavior disappeared. (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #20) > Unclear, had you reconnected displays to an on-motherboard integrated GPU (so > Intel or AMD)? Or were they still attached to the discrete nVidia GPU > graphics card, but using the Windows provided driver? I did not change any connections, everything was still attached to the nVidia graphics card and was using the Windows provided driver. (In reply to Timur from comment #18) > There are other nVidia bugs. Did you search them? > Except they are with LO 7.0, see if the same issue. I searched all bugs with nvidia in the comment for all 7.* versions and the only bug I found that may be related is Bug 132847, but that does not seems as severe as this one (even that one redraws the screen when user clicks over bad UI area). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140882 --- Comment #3 from Jean-François Fortin Tam --- Actually, nevermind the guillemets, apostrophes and colons... those *do* get corrected properly in 7.0.5.2 and 7.1.2.2. It turns out that in one case I had "Tools > Autocorrect > While typing" turned off, for some reason. However, even with that setting turned back on, with all versions, it still does not autocorrect the ;, ? and !... so it looks like this: « banane : banane; banane? banane! » ...instead of: « banane : banane ; banane ? banane ! » Did you really get those spaces in front of ;, ? and ! on your end? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140882] Non-breaking spaces not inserted by autocorrect under LibreOffice-GTK3 (French typography)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140882 --- Comment #2 from Jean-François Fortin Tam --- This gets weirder. I tried my laptop today with LibreOffice 7.0.5.2 (still the GTK3 version from Fedora 33), and it doesn't even work with the guillemets (quotation marks). If I type "banane: banane; banane? banane!" (into a document where all the text was set to French), I get *exactly* that: "banane: banane; banane? banane!" No non-breakable spaces, no French quotation marks. Apostrophes don't get replaced either. Version 7.1.2.2 from Flathub (Flatpak) does not exhibit the problem... but as I said previously, version 7.2 alpha AppImage did exhibit the problem. So this is starting to look less like a predictable regression from one version to the next, and more like a race condition heisenbug that makes it behave differently on different computers (as I'm currently on my laptop instead of my desktop workstation, whereas all other variables are otherwise the same). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141463] New: FILEOPEN DOCX Scale of group is wrongly applied to the childelements in the group
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141463 Bug ID: 141463 Summary: FILEOPEN DOCX Scale of group is wrongly applied to the childelements in the group Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de Blocks: 136328 Created attachment 170922 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=170922=edit Scaling a group with transformed child elements Open attached document. It contains a group with two child elements. One is flipped and the other is rotated. There is screenshot where the group should be. The screenshot looks gray, because I have reduced its contrast. One place were an error happens is statement aTransformation = aParentTransformation*aTransformation; in shape.cxx https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/oox/source/drawingml/shape.cxx?r=3e4eb070#821 Here aParentTransformation is a scaling matrix from the group and aTransformation contains the rotation of the green shape. When they are multiplied, they introduce a skew. Word cannot handle skew at all, but LibreOffice can. Therefore the scaling has to be applied before rotation. There are surely other error in addition, but this one I could identify. Look at it with 96dpi, then the screenshots have the correct size and position and you can see, were the shapes should be. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141462] New: WRITER: Table autoformatted when trying to insert a row
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141462 Bug ID: 141462 Summary: WRITER: Table autoformatted when trying to insert a row Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.2.2 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: richienh...@gmail.com Description: I have a multi-page table which I originally created using the autoformat style Elegant. I've color coded groups of rows to distinguish them. I need to insert a row. When I do so all the color coding is removed and the font color reverts to Automatic for the entire table. While that's the my noticeable problem, it appears that other table properties are also lost. For example, header rows no longer appear at the top of pages 2, and so on. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create table using autoformat style Elegant. 2. Insert text. Color it. Change other table properties. 3. Insert a new row. Actual Results: Entire table reverts to Automatic color text. Edit -> Undo does not help -- all text remains Automatic color. Table headers are forgotten, and do not appear at the top of subsequent pages. This may be related to Bug 83667. Expected Results: Customized table properties such as colored text and headers are unaffected. Workaround is to reapply customizations and hope I need not insert another row. I copied the language files by hand. Hope it helps you too Steps, after you installed libreOffice: - Download Language-Pack of your choice that has exactly the same release as your libreoffice release - Open it in Finder (start it, it will mount the volume but don´t do anything else) - Now open terminal and create a folder, I named it LP: - mkdir LP - cd LP - Check, what your language is and change (de) in next step to your language-letter: - cp -pr /Volumes/LibreOffice\ de\ Language\ Pack/ . - cd cd LibreOffice\ Language\ Pack.app/Contents/Resources - tar -xzf tarball.tar.bz2 - cd Contents/Resources - Now we copy all that stuff to the folder of the LibreOffice-Application. In my case its located in /Applications/LibreOffice.app: - cp -pr . /Applications/LibreOffice.app/Contents/Resources - go to that folder: - cd /Applications/LibreOffice.app/Contents/Resources - Now we need to set the rights of the group to right value - chgrp -R admin .
