I had registered a copy of my address database( to test the whole thing again. It does not crash, even if I insert the original database into an empty document and open the data source. Then I unregistered the copy again - and it crashes again when I open the data source. HTML won't disappear as an option, just the wizard and other options besides the single-document HTML export. A good HTML5 export (not one that creates images of the slides and presents those in a html page) should still be implemented (IMHO), but is not a priority in any way. I have many documents created over the last few years and regularly edited with tables containing hundreds of images, one per cell. The images were inserted into the tables by drag and drop and automatically anchored to paragraph and the table row expanded height to accommodate the image. Now (at lease since LO 7.0) if I open these documents the table rows have shrunk behind the images and the images all overlap each other and rows below. I resolve this by changing the image to anchor "as character" and the paragraph to "Centred" and the table row expands to appear as it did previously. I happen to be a retired IT systems engineer with experince as both an IT vendor and an IT customer and I have some interest in contributing to LO bug root cause analysis and improving LO. I can tell you from my vendor experience that even if a bad extension or bad extension install process caused this color picker dysfunction, for the average LO user it still has LO's name on it especially if they do not associate the appearance of the dysfunction with an extension management event. For example, does LO provide an API for extensions to use to statically modify the user profile during install/first use/uninstall or conversely does LO call in to enabled extensions via an LO-spec API at startup to dynamically assemble the color picker? If so, why does that API not perform simple QA checks such as for palette namespace collisions across enabled extensions or enforcing LO-reserved names if any? Quality Assurance deficit bug if it does not. Further, if I can identify a particular extension causing the issue, then LO should really want to know about that and remove it from the public extensions repo. Confirmed by using the dark mode in GNOME 3.36. Even though the GNOME dark mode uses a dark grey as a base, it is evident that the button text in question has either a poor contrast (in the case of GNOME dark mode) or disappears entirely (for dark modes that use black as a background, as in this bug report's description). The buttons in question are the right-hand side menus in the tabbed user interface, in all ribbons. The File ribbon happens to have two (File and Help), as well as an extra menu button exhibiting the same issue: Recent Documents. All other ribbons only have this issue with the right-hand side button of the same name as the ribbon. To reproduce: 1. Set the OS's appearance to a dark mode 2. In LibreOffice, set the user interface to Tabbed: View > User Interface... > Tabbed Note that this issue also exist for some dropdowns in at least two other user interfaces: Tabbed Compact and Groupedbar compact. Changing Blocks to more specific meta bug, and changing the title to more accurately describe the issue. The example will give you all of the entries where the item name begins with
'The *'. This means that you can also search for characters that would
otherwise be interpreted as placeholders, such as *, ?, _, % or the period.
So in LO you need to escape *, with in direct-sql not.
I think it's not a bug, it is how it works. Maybe there was a reason to
implement such think in base.
