I would like to customize context menu in navigator but I don't find how to do it. It is not as an option under Customize... Context Menus Tab. E.g. I would like to remove "Promote Chapter" And "Demote Chapter" options as I don't use them and they just create confusion for me. Then I would want to rename "Promote Level" to "Promote" and "Demote Level" to "Demote". Maybe also remove couple of other options from the context menu that I am not using. Is there some way to do this? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78916] Custom page size missing from print dialog
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78916 --- Comment #37 from rpr --- I've been also coping with this bug since 2012 - first noticed in LibO 3.5.4.2 on Ubuntu 12.04. LibO 7.2.3.2 (on Ubuntu 20.04) is the latest version I work with and it also has the bug. I regularly need custom page sizes when printing from Writer to envelopes as the printer driver on Ubuntu provides just a couple of envelope sizes. An ugly workaround for this problem which I used so far is to edit the PPD file for the connected printer (located in /etc/cups/ppd/) and add definitions for the page sizes I need most. For example, here are the lines for ISO B6 (125x176 mm) and Italian envelope (23x11 cm): (The sizes must be given in the 1/72 inch, e.g.: 312 * 1/72 = 4.33 in = 11 cm) ... *cupsUIConstraints PageSizeVsDuplex: " *Duplex *PageSize EnvISOB6" *cupsUIConstraints PageSizeVsDuplex: " *Duplex *PageSize EnvItalian" ... *cupsUIConstraints PageSizeVsInputSlot: " *InputSlot Tray2 *PageSize EnvISOB6" *cupsUIConstraints PageSizeVsInputSlot: " *InputSlot Tray2 *PageSize EnvItalian" ... *cupsUIConstraints PageSizeVsInputSlot: " *InputSlot Tray3 *PageSize EnvISOB6" *cupsUIConstraints PageSizeVsInputSlot: " *InputSlot Tray3 *PageSize EnvItalian" ... *PageSize EnvISOB6/Envelope B6: "<>setpagedevice" *PageSize EnvItalian/Envelope 23x11cm: "<>setpagedevice" ... *PageRegion EnvISOB6/Envelope B6: "<>setpagedevice" *PageRegion EnvItalian/Envelope 23x11cm: "<>setpagedevice" ... *ImageableArea EnvISOB6/Envelope B6: "12 12 342 487" *ImageableArea EnvItalian/Envelope 23x11cm: "12 12 300 640" ... *PaperDimension EnvISOB6/Envelope B6: "354 499" *PaperDimension EnvItalian/Envelope 23x11cm: "312 652" ... *de.PageSize EnvISOB6/Umschlag ISO B6: "" *de.PageSize EnvItalian/Umschlag 23x11cm: "" ... *es.PageSize EnvISOB6/Sobre ISO B6: "" *es.PageSize EnvItalian/Sobre 23x11cm: "" ... *fr.PageSize EnvISOB6/Enveloppe ISO B6: "" *fr.PageSize EnvItalian/Enveloppe 23x11cm: "" ... *it.PageSize EnvISOB6/Busta ISO B6: "" *it.PageSize EnvItalian/Busta 23x11cm: "" ... *pt.PageSize EnvISOB6/Envelope B6: "" *pt.PageSize EnvItalian/Envelope 23x11cm: "" After changing the PPD file you should test it with the following command: cupstestppd /etc/cups/ppd/file_name.ppd -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146307] New: Full Accessibility Hierarchy of Cell in Calc Being Announced
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146307 Bug ID: 146307 Summary: Full Accessibility Hierarchy of Cell in Calc Being Announced Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.3.1 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: richardbmcdon...@gmail.com Description: I am using Windows 10 64-bit version 20H2, LibreOffice 7.2.4 and NVDA 2021.3. With Calc, it seems that the full accessibility hierarchy of a cell in Calc is being announced any time a change is made to that cell (e.g., entering a number, changing the format, etc.). I do not have any special settings in either NVDA or LO. The file I am working with is in Excel (.xlsx) format. When using JAWS and Excel, this issue does not exist. This is not a new issue; it has been present since at least LO 7.x. Also, other users on the NVDA support list report it. Michael Weghorn (a LO Developer) took a look at this issue. He was able to reproduce it. He also said that this issue does not occur when just navigating through the spreadsheet using the arrow keys (i.e., without making any changes) or when using the Orca screen reader with the gtk3 VCL plugin on Linux. He also added that to his understanding, screen readers usually only announce the "hierarchy" of a focused object up to the point from which it is different from the previously focused object. One potential explanation for this issue could be that for some reason it is not exposed to NVDA that the previously selected cell is a "sibling" of the one selected afterwards, or somehow focus is on another accessibility object in between. Steps to Reproduce: See description1. 2. 3. Actual Results: See description Expected Results: See description Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: See description -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146306] New: Sluggishness with NVDA and Calc
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146306 Bug ID: 146306 Summary: Sluggishness with NVDA and Calc Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: richardbmcdon...@gmail.com Description: I am using Windows 10 64-bit version 20H2, LibreOffice 7.2.4 and NVDA 2021.3. With Calc, there is a great amount of sluggishness, as outlined below: - With a spreadsheet open, each time I enter a number into a cell, there is like a 15 second delay before NVDA responds with the number entered. - When using the enter or arrow keys after entering a number into a cell to move to a new cell, it takes like 15 seconds before NVDA responds. I do not have any special settings in either NVDA or LO. When using JAWS and Excel, I experience none of this sluggishness. This is not a new issue; this sluggishness has been present since at least LO 7.x. Also, this sluggishness is reported by other users on the NVDA support list. I also tried it with JAWS (2020) and Narrator. Basically, I experienced the same sluggishness; although it was a bit worse with JAWS and a bit less with Narrator. The file I am working with is in Excel (.xlsx) format. In testing other issues using LibreOffice Dev 7.4.0 (December 17,2021), this same sluggishness exists; albeit at a lesser rate similar to what Michael reports below. Michael Weghorn (a LO Developer) took a look at this issue. He was able to reproduce the issue; albeit with a 4 -5 second lag instead of my ~15 second lag. He said that it seems that a significant amount of time is spent on retrieving/generating an accessible description of involved accessibility objects. He also said that this issue does not occur when just navigating through the spreadsheet using the arrow keys (i.e., without making any changes) or when using the Orca screen reader with the gtk3 VCL plugin on Linux. Simon Eigeldinger (a LO User on the Accessibility list) said that he also has something to add to this issue. Though he is not certain it is the same sluggishness issue reported in this bug. He has the feeling it has something to do with loosing focus or having tracking issues. When navigating very quickly through the sheet, NVDA cannot track the cursor in the sheet window and on the braille display - you just see the word “Cell.” Speech stops after that. You can see that the cursor still moves because when you alt+tab out of the window and back into again you are on the cell where you wanted to be. The problem is then when navigating to the next cell you have the same tracking/focus issues again. Steps to Reproduce: See description1. 2. 3. Actual Results: See description Expected Results: See description Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: See description -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146304 Bug ID: 146304 Summary: Not able to connect Sqlite database to FlatPak version of LibreOffice Base via ODBC Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.4.1 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: david.w.pot...@btinternet.com Description: I previously had a version of LibreOffice (LO) installed from the repository of my distribution. I am running Debian 11. I was able successfully to connect a data source to LO Base and Writer using ODBC to connect an Sqlite database for MailMerge. This worked perfectly. I decided to remove the version of LO I had installed and to install the FlatPak version. Now I am unable to establish an ODBC connection. When I try to set up a connection to an ODBC database, I get the following error message. "Could not load the program library libodbc.so or it is corrupted. The ODBC data source selection is not available." I have checked my ODBC setup and nothing has changed since it was working perfectly with the previous set-up of LO that I had. I have installed Flatseal, and I have tried changing various permissions but nothing I do seems to make any difference. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open LibreOffice Base and try to set up an ODBC connection to an Sqlite database. 2. 3. Actual Results: I get the following error message: "Could not load the program library libodbc.so or it is corrupted. The ODBC data source selection is not available." Expected Results: An ODBC connection to the database should have been established. We do timeout--hence the freeze. Reading printer configuration is integral to working with layout of a calc sheet. Yes, it's printer related. I have a network printer configured as default. LO freezes only if the printer is turned off. The freeze happens also if I just open the printer settings in the file menu. I changed the default printer to "MS Print to PDF". I also changed the printer in LO and used it once. Before that LO still wanted to use the network printer. And now the freeze is gone. Yes, this is an orcus issue. Orcus itself can theoretically process XML documents containing element contents or attribute values encoded in something other than utf-8 since the decoding part is delegated to the handler side (libreoffice). But the XML element and attribute names themselves must be in utf-8 (or utf-16 if proper byte order mark is given). Orcus needs to properly pick up the declared encoding type to the handler during XML mapping, and that *should* in theory fix this issue. The Excel 2003 XML file format import code does support non-unicode encoding by honoring the declared encoding type, so I just need to apply the same mechanism to XML mapping code. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
