[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149631] New: Record Macro won't record inserting a page break of a specified type
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149631 Bug ID: 149631 Summary: Record Macro won't record inserting a page break of a specified type Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.2.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: luke.kend...@gmail.com Context: I found that none of my level 1 chapter title style chapters were being added to the Table of Contents, and the only way to correct it was to delete the page break and the chapter title, then to insert a page break and a new chapter title and assign the chapter heading style again: after that, the chapter headings would appear in the TOC. Bug: After recording a macro with the 17 steps needed to do this, I discovered that recording a macro will not record the insertion of a manual page break with a specific page style chosen from the drop-down list. Looking into the macro code, the code to insert the page break was commented out (so of course it wasn't included when the macro was run). Manually uncommenting the line of code caused the insert page break dialogue to pup up to manually choose the page style. Steps to reproduce: Enable macros. Turn on Record macro Perform some operations, one of which includes inserting a manual page break End recording Run the macro Observed result: No page break insertion occurs. Expected result: Page break (with the previously chosen following page style) is inserted. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Documentation link: https://help.libreoffice.org/7.2/lo/text/sbasic/shared/03120306.html However, using MID in this way gives an error. The error can be resolved by providing the third argument, eg MID(cell,start,999) works without error. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enter 'HELLO WORLD' in A1 2. Enter '=MID(A1,7)' in A2 Actual Results: Err:511 is dispayed cell A2 Expected Results: Expect to see 'WORLD' in A2 Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Replace A2 with '=MID(A1,7,999)' and the expected text appears. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149626] New: HANG during basic macro using com.sun.star.datatransfer.dnd
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149626 Bug ID: 149626 Summary: HANG during basic macro using com.sun.star.datatransfer.dnd Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.4.2 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: BASIC Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: dominic.coo...@domelia.co.uk Description: A basic macro which has worked for the last 10 years now hangs indefinitely. Event listeners are registered using com.sun.star.awt.Toolkit addDropTargetListener. Subroutines are in place to handle all the com.sun.star.datatransfer.dnd events. Previously if something was dragged onto the form, the listener would trigger, and the code would check to see if dropping was allowed (using a global variable which in my code is called boolFileStorage). If so, the filename was obtained and passed through to another routine. Now, since version 7.3.4.2 (via Fedora 36), upon a dragover, Libreoffice is immediately unresponsive. The basic IDE inbuilt debugger is no use as that freezes also. For that reason I am unable to work out which listener (if any) is hanging. My use case is within LibreOffice BASE, but I have copied and pasted the Macro into a Writer document which displays the same buggy behaviour. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open sample document (attached) 2.Press the push button (to register the event handlers) 3.Drag a file onto the document Actual Results: Libreoffice hangs and all windows unresponsible without a kill -9 or "Force Quit" Expected Results: Drag icon should change to show that dropping is allowed; if the file is dropped on to the window, in the test code it should show the filename and a message box (in my production code it calls other routines). Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.3.4.2 Build ID: 30(Build:2) CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.17; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149459] [FORMATTING] Tab key do not select shapes by turn if they are copy-pasted and moved by arrow key
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149459 --- Comment #7 from LeroyG --- Created attachment 180836 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=180836&action=edit File with two horizontal lines If the inserted shapes are horizontal lines, and both are at the same vertical level (one beside the other), selection jumps and stay in the leftmost line. If one line vertical position is changed (with pointer or arrow keys) selection jumps between both. Maybe this can explain why with touchpad/mouse (if snap to grid is disabled) allow to jump between all shapes. Testing with the second test file: if vertical position is changed, selection with tab works well. If there are two lines aligned, selection do not works well. Changing zoom level (to refresh screen) do not help. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 134417] Layout loop/freeze after changing anchor from to paragraph to to character
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134417 --- Comment #10 from sdc.bla...@youmail.dk --- Additional information: Small modifications that avoid crash/freeze: 1. Change Vertical and Horizontal Position of "afbeelding99" to Entire Page, instead of "Entire Paragraph". Now you can change anchor "to character" without crash. 2. Change anchor of "afbeelding100" to "to paragraph" (both images move to first page), now you can change anchor of "afbeelding99" to "to character" without crash. 3. Drag "afbeelding100" downward with mouse (arrow keys do not work), it will move to the next page (after the "cat photo" (Afbeelding181)), because "afbeelding100" is anchored "to character", where the character is the cat photo (which is anchored "as character"). Now you can change the anchor of "afbeelding99" to "to character" without crash. 4. Select the first three lines after the cat photo (starts with: consequat, vel illum dolore eu feugiat) and paste it in front of the photo. Note that the text will move to the same page as "afbeelding99" and "afbeelding100". Now you can change the anchor of "afbeelding99" to "to character" without crash. In short -- the "test file" is a highly specialized (and highly unlikely) case where the cat photo is the first character of the paragraph to which it appears that both "afbeelding99" and "afbeelding100" are anchored. I have shown several different ways that one could "avoid" the crash -- though I cannot explain why the particular combination results in the crash. Maybe it is a regression, I have no knowledge or opinion about that. But even if it was -- is it worth keeping this ticket open for a configuration that is highly unlikely to be created in a normal use situation? I would propose something like INVALID or INSUFFICIENTDATA -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131560] Data/Form provides access to cells that are protected
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131560 --- Comment #10 from Paul Hodgson --- Tried to retest in 7.3.4.2, as requested, using the "Example spreadsheet" I posted initially. 1. After highlighting a column "Format cells..." is not available! (No "Ctrl-1", No "Format\Cells") so I could not even protect a column, so continued test by just selecting D1:D3 and protecting those, then selecting G1:G3 and protecting those. I toggled sheet protected off then on again. 2. In the spreadsheet when I try to enter data in C2 or G3, for example, it says the cells are protected, but in Data\Form the fields labelled "Teacher Y1" and "Teacher Yr2" are unprotected in the form, although: 2.1 If I change, for example, "Teacher Yr 1", overtyping "Adam" with "Daphne", the form shows "Daphne" until I change records away and then change records back (e.g. pressing "Next Record" then pressing "Previous Record", when "Alex" is redisplayed). 2.2 If I change "Class Yr1", say from "1A" to "1B", the formula that is dependent on this change is not invoked (i.e. "Teacher Yr1" does not change from "Adam") and when I return to the sheet I find that, not only does it still display "Adam", but the formula that was in D2 has been replaced with the fixed text "Adam". I do not believe that the bug is fixed.
