This bug tracker has a strict rule to limit scope of a single issue to a single problem only. Originally, you've filed the issue about long pause in a certain stage while installing daily builds toward version 6.3. So anything unrelated to this problem should go to separate dedicated issues. Such is the error installing KB2999226 reported in comment 3, and also this lack of "cooperation" with some third-party "cleaner" tool which uses unknown techniques (against use of whose we explicitly warn in our FAQ about installation issues) from comment 7. Please - could you only test if the originally reported delay is still an issue for you. The original issue (filed more than half a year ago) has nothing to do with KB2999226: the daily builds have only recently (~last month) received the MSUs for the UCRT - see bug 124794 comment 11. 2. The KB is, as mentioned, UCRT required for LibreOffice to work. It is attempted to be installed on Windows versions prior to Windows 10 (those older versions don't have it "from factory" and need installed); *unconditionally* - because of lack of reliable technology to detect if it's properly installed on the system (see tdf#119910, where Avast installed UCRT improperly, and we detected "presence" of it skipping installation of the pre-requisite, then failed to run LO). 3. The installer in 6.3 was changed to not fail when cannot install UCRT; it only warns that user might need to install it manually, then proceeds to successfully finish the installation. This can happen, e.g., if Windows Installer is disabled/malfunctioning. Of course, in that case, the component could already be present on system - as I said, we now don't check for its presence; thus that's only a warning. At same position of installing I'm requested installing KB2999226 from Microsoft. While installing, I get an error. I've unzipped the msi-file of LibreOffice. Then I copy the folder "LibreOfficeDev 6" in a wished upper folder. Then I opened soffice.exe. I can work without errors. I'm belive in no needed KB2999226. I think it can deleted in installing procedure.
