See bug 113416, IIRC docking works on Windows and macOS

This is a wide field and we have a lot of tickets around this topic. A summary
of why and what is in bug 90374.

To summarize your request: it's possible to have the Navigator in one sidebar
and the Stylist in another. Docking is possible yet buggy on Linux. The (right)
sidebar needs a minimum width to avoid hidden controls (you can override this
with the expert option Sidebar:General:MinimumWidth, see bug 140360).
Customization wont be done (it's not as flexible implemented as toolbars). =>

thanks for suggesting this. I just try it again : F5 navigator open in a
separated window and cannot be docked (only tiled, but it is not so user
friendly when many windows are opened) inside LO main window in my version :
Version: 7.3.2.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 30(Build:2)
CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR
7.3.2-1
Calc: threaded
on Linux Manjaro with Gnome shell.

Thus, since my first report a long time ago (every thing happen in right time),
i have found that navigator have been included in side panel also, that is not
so bad.

Even though, it still remain a UI problem for my way of using LO writer in
parallel with bug 141958 :
- before V7, i was used to work with navigator on one side panel, and
paragraph/character styles list on other this panel, this is not possible
anymore, and i really miss it.
- when this was possible, it was also possible to shrink side panels in a "UI
degrading way" (hidding some icons of side panels) so that working document
could be displayed as widely as possible, or even working on two different
documents' tiled windows displayed on the same screen, with two navigators.

Now this is not possible and make me loose a lot of time and mind
concentration.

You may understand that, if tis

Do you know the View > Navigator F5 panel? You can dock it at the left side and
have any other tab at the View > Sidebar Ctrl+F5.
