[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 42859] Add settings button for Slide pane to make it easy to configure
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42859 --- Comment #12 from Yousuf Philips (jay)--- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #10) > Both the +double click, and the "+drag" will undock and > dock the frame. Ctrl+double click isnt discoverable and left-click drag doesnt always work. > Other than the Sidebar's Settings split button, we don't > provide this on other frames-right? Yes that is true, which we hope to remedy here. :D Guess it could be added to the floating navigator in Writer, but that doesnt have a titlebar with a close button. (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #11) > I guess the question might be what other "controls" beside Dock/Undock would > go onto a Settings button for the Slides (Impress View -> Slide Pane) or > Pages (Draw View -> Page Pane) frame? As stated in comment 9, we could include closing the pane, and hopefully in the future other customizable options like 'show slide name' (how it used to look in 3.3) or 'thumbnail size' (sub menu with options to change/reset the thumbnail size). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 42859] Add settings button for Slide pane to make it easy to configure
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42859 --- Comment #11 from V Stuart Foote--- I guess the question might be what other "controls" beside Dock/Undock would go onto a Settings button for the Slides (Impress View -> Slide Pane) or Pages (Draw View -> Page Pane) frame? If just a Dock/Undock, the UI already provides controls (admittedly a bit hard to identify). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 42859] Add settings button for Slide pane to make it easy to configure
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42859 --- Comment #10 from V Stuart Foote--- Both the +double click, and the "+drag" will undock and dock the frame. Other than the Sidebar's Settings split button, we don't provide this on other frames-right? So, not sure the frame "settings" button with Undock/Dock action buttons is needed along side the X-"Close" button. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

So what is left is to add a setting button next to the close button in the titlebar area of the Slide pane that would open up a drop down menu, similar to the sidebar settings menu button, which has options for dock, undock and close the pane. And hopefully in the future, also means to configure it more.
