H264 MP4 file plays fine in both. And I can add it to LO and also play the video when starting the presentation. Can you please also check this bug in version 4.0? I tried in Version 3.6.2.2 (Build ID: 360m1(Build:2)) and the video runs smoothly in Impress. The code is installed here. Then I tried version 4.0 rc2 and the movie is not recognized as video, but only audio is played and there is the error message on the console ** Message: don't know how to handle video/x-h264...
