You have started typing into your text box without completing its positioning. If you complete drawing a box outline (drag its drawing cursor away) the draw text object is fully instantiated and stays put. The "jump" in position on clicking outside the new text is completing the styling of the draw text object. To me it is doing the correct and expected thing. Hi Hossein! I'll take another look at the code too, to recap everything. In order to implement this new feature I believe we're gonna need many separate patches. One possible course of action would be: 1) Implement the ability to save solver configuration on a "per-sheet" basis at runtime (still not saving to the file). This part might not be so difficult. 2) Save solver settings to an embedded XML file into the ODS file. 3) Make Calc load solver settings when the ODS file is opened and the user selects a new sheet. 4) Implement XLSX export so that solver settings are compatible with MS Excel (it seems Excel saves solver info to 'xl/workbook.xml'. 5) Implement XLSX import to be able to load solver settings from Excel files. I have no idea how to implement steps 2 to 5. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 144814] Settings that are stored in the document should be marked as such
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144814 --- Comment #6 from John --- As an addition to Telesto's comment: This issue is not about tab stops only. Tab stops are just one case, but if I remember correctly, "Tools > Options" have more of them. This issue affects settings in other places as well. For example, most "View > Zoom" is stored in the application, but the view itself ("View > Normal" or "View > Web") is stored in the document. The whole idea of what I talking about is to make these things transparent for the user. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

They'd be impossible to select and clear away. Don't want that behavior. So, in addition to the current mouse release/click to complete draw object creation--we would need the Draw text box object to be created fully styled on the initial single character entry, rather than by a mouse action. That would be to supplement currently functional drawing of full text box with its styling and then entering text at its text cursor. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 144842] LibreOffice Calc FILEOPEN Import csv 'Format quoted field as text' does not work
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144842 --- Comment #3 from Mike --- Thanks for the explanations. I understand the problem is that part of the field is quoted. I think I was incorrect in calling out the "Format quoted field as text" as the root of this. Wouldn't the Merge delimiters option work though?: "Combines consecutive delimiters and removes blank data fields" BTW the tabs above came from me copying/pasting from Calc. And it is not fixed-width either. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 144842] LibreOffice Calc FILEOPEN Import csv 'Format quoted field as text' does not work
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144842 --- Comment #2 from Eike Rathke --- That data doesn't look space-separated but fixed-width. But even if it was space-separated it would not fulfil the criteria for quoted fields because for that the *entire* field content has to be "enquoted like this", which logdesc="SSL VPN tunnel up" or any other of that data is not. Import as fixed-width, placing a column separator between column 40/41 and if after import you want to get rid of the extra spaces in column A then use a formula in C1 =TRIM(A1) and fill that down until end of data. You may then copy those results into clipboard and Paste-Special it onto the data in column A, only Strings but not Formulas. Not a bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144842 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC||er...@redhat.com Resolution|--- |NOTABUG --- Comment #1 from Mike Kaganski --- Quoted field in CSV *starts* with a quote mark (normally "), and ends with this mark. What you show is something that includes such a character in the middle, and is *not* a quoted field. Proper syntax of a quoted field: 123 "123123"123 If this sample is parsed with *tab* used as field separator, then it has three fields, first 123, second "123 123" (starting with the quote, and going until another quote followed by field separator), and third 123. Another proper syntax: "logdesc=""SSL VPN tunnel up""" "action=""tunnel-up""" Here the first field would be "logdesc=""SSL VPN tunnel up""", where the middle quotes are so-called "2DQUOTE" in the RFC, that would come as single literal quotes in the result. Incorrect syntax: logdesc="SSL VPN tunnel up" action="tunnel-up" (which would still be read OK if you use tabs as separators, but would *rightfully* fail your expectations if you use any space as a separator). Regarding the already mentioned complications, the problem where to store the parameters, and how to do it per sheet or in a different way, then a probable decision to implement an interim solution, I would suggest a simpler and probably even more useful solution: Create a bit of code saving the parameters of a solver job (including the algorithm designator) to a cell range the user may describe in a field of the dialog. A button then can trigger the action. In the same way a job could be read from a cell range and passed to the solver object. This would be rather simple. I will not rework the dialog, but surely I could write the needed code even in Basic in a reasonable time. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 144777] countifs() in Calc is slower than Excel's countifs()
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144777 Julien Nabet changed: What|Removed |Added CC||er...@redhat.com, ||noelgran...@gmail.com --- Comment #13 from Julien Nabet --- Eike/Noel: the Flamegraph shows that a lot of time is in ScTable::ValidQuery See https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sc/source/core/data/table3.cxx?r=b60b6bfa#2979 I noticed in the loop "for (const auto& rItem : rItems)" at line 3039 that perhaps changing the order of test may help. For example, I thought about putting: 3069 else if (rParam.mbRangeLookup) 3070 { 3071 std::pair aThisRes = 3072 aEval.compareByRangeLookup(aCell, nCol, nRow, rEntry, rItem); 3073 aRes.first |= aThisRes.first; 3074 aRes.second |= aThisRes.second; 3075 } 3076 3077 if (aRes.first && aRes.second) 3078 break; just after: 3041 if (rItem.meType == ScQueryEntry::ByTextColor) 3042 { 3043 std::pair aThisRes 3044 = aEval.compareByTextColor(nCol, nRow, nTab, rItem); 3045 aRes.first |= aThisRes.first; 3046 aRes.second |= aThisRes.second; 3047 } 3048 else if (rItem.meType == ScQueryEntry::ByBackgroundColor) 3049 { 3050 std::pair aThisRes = 3051 aEval.compareByBackgroundColor(nCol, nRow, nTab, rItem); 3052 aRes.first |= aThisRes.first; 3053 aRes.second |= aThisRes.second; 3054 } so these would be at the end: 3055 else if (aEval.isQueryByValue(rItem, nCol, nRow, aCell)) 3056 { 3057 std::pair aThisRes = 3058 aEval.compareByValue(aCell, nCol, nRow, rEntry, rItem, pContext); 3059 aRes.first |= aThisRes.first; 3060 aRes.second |= aThisRes.second; 3061 } 3062 else if (aEval.isQueryByString(rEntry, rItem, nCol, nRow, aCell)) 3063 { 3064 std::pair aThisRes = 3065 aEval.compareByString(aCell, nRow, rEntry, rItem, pContext); 3066 aRes.first |= aThisRes.first; 3067 aRes.second |= aThisRes.second; 3068 } So we would call "isQueryByValue" and/or "isQueryByString" only if necessary. Now, I don't know if the order of evaluation matters and could change the final result. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 144826] Conditional formatting works in Base table, not in forms
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144826 --- Comment #10 from robinwalte...@gmail.com --- First of all, can I just say that I am stunned by the response to this bug. Thank you all. It's barely even a bug really since it's only a minor cosmetic detail Regarding the suggestion to use a formatted field control, I believe that the control in question is a formatted field, at least if I understand the attached screenshot correctly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 144847] New: Changing anything on the Type tab of Image Properties box causes image to become square
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144847 Bug ID: 144847 Summary: Changing anything on the Type tab of Image Properties box causes image to become square Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.0.4 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ravenkw...@gmail.com Description: For the last week, the image property tab has been malfunctioning. When the Keep ratio field is checked. clicking on the width or height fields causes that field value to change to match the other field (always forming a square image). When this happens, clicking the Original Size button allows me to change one of the fields and the other responds as expected. Also, if I then save the image properties, close the properties box and go back in, making any changes to the position then causes the image to flip back to square. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open an image properties box 2.Check Keep ratio 3. Save and close image property box 4. Re-open image property box 5.Click in either Width or Height Actual Results: Image field setting immediately changes to match the other measurement (ie click in Width, the width changes to be the same as the height). Changing the number in the field causes the other field to change to exactly match the number just entered. Expected Results: No change on clicking in the field box. Changing the field number causes other field to change in ratio. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Problem persists in safe mode -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
